Great wee video you have here, I like these projects, basic tools/equipment and getting great results, proves you dont need all the super duper gadgets. Maybe a wet vac would be a good investment if your gonny do this regular as someone else has already said but keep it up buddy, I've subscribed now and look forward to the next step of this. Good job 👍
Stu, if your doing this as a regular thing on the channel, it would be worth investing in a vax spot wash. I got mine on eBay for 89.99 refurbished, and I did my interior on my car, and it's surprised how much gunk comes out! It would be a good investment for the channel :)
Regarding the trigger bottles if you decant them into a pump spray bottle you get a more uniform coverage, plus it saves your wrist. Auto Glym is fantastic.
I think even if it did fail its MOT on things that you feel you could not fix. I think that you would be able to get your money back because it is now clean and running and driving. But don’t be afraid to have a go because I think you would sell easily once back on the road.
Stu, that squeak is probably a dry bearing on the alternator, or water pump seized, that's normally the 2 culprits, just depends how long it's been sat.
@@Watchstudo I removed the engine and gearbox out of my Morris minor on my own, and I'm not a expert mechanic! TH-cam will give you help re the water pump
Pretty bulletproof those engines, good luck 👍
Thanks 👍
What a bargain at £200 looking forward to seeing the finished car great channel
You and me both! haha Thanks
Like you said TH-cam has lots of great videos for fixing stuff! Don't be afraid to have a go even if you think you can't!
Very true!

Thanks so much. I am not sure the wife will let me purchase anything more just yet. Will sneak one in the back door soon :)
@@Watchstudo haha fair enough. I know that feeling 🤣

Great idea!
Looks so much better! Glad it’s a runner/driver too. Did you check for a free CD?😂
Haha. I did. Sadly nothing!!

Yes. I am hoping so. Fingers crossed for the MOT.
Easier with seats out,jet wash works wonders
I did think that, just not the weather to dry them without a dry vac.
Even if it failed you've made money on that just by cleaning it
Haha yes i agree!

Seems to be ok now so you right about the alternator. Will be changing the water pump soon. Scary time!

I have watched a few. Going to try and do the belt and pump without a locking kit.
@@Watchstudo good luck can't wait for the next video!
Why would anyone sell a 60 reg car for £200 ? They should of stuck it on eBay spares or repair, easy £400 all day long, some people are brain dead
They were offered £200 scrap. So jumped at the chance. 😊
