Just ordered this entire build for my son’s first pc. We’re going to build it together but he thinks it’s mine. Going to be his birthday gift. The step by step is going to help tremendously!
I’m really started to find these budget builds wayyy more appealing than the expensive $1500+ builds. More fun to stress test what you can on a budget than already knowing it’ll max the game before the build is finished!
Nice video, like the point that you took the effort to give price and value points of everything for build, and the build part was informative and well done, thanks!
Please consider doing a video on how to **TAKE APART** a system and then **PUT BACK TOGETHER AGAIN** - if to do upgrades and/or troubleshooting that require to remove the mobo. As example, the USB-3 header on mobo is almost always a problem where you go to pull out the connector and the entire header comes with it!
In today's economy I think videos like this, about building an affordable PC that can play most games, is very important. This build is almost EXACTLY what I built my teenage son a few months back. The Ryzen 5 4500 is a steal right now. There are some truly affordable, entry-level AM4 motherboards like the one you selected. There are lots of adequate cases for less than $100 with multiple cooling fans included. Using basic RAM keeps costs low. And even a video card that is a couple generations old can really help save money. Awesome job!
I just bought this case for a build I gave to one of my friends. Really a nice case for what it is. Really good airflow for low to medium budget builds and very easy to navigate around. Missing some of the cable management perks that other cases have and some other small conveniences, but overall a really nice case. I recommend to anyone looking for a budget case but who do not want to go as low as a $30 case.
@@jds6014 And you think the AMD RX 5500 8gb in this build is new? It's same gen as the 5700xt which all were sold out everywhere world wide during the crypto mining boom. At that time these cards were worth like 3 times more than the MSRP for when these GPUs first released. Also these GPUs were made by AMD, I can tell you these cards stopped production like 4 years ago roughly. They are 2 generations old and about to become 3 generations old.

This was basically the exact same build I did for my friend. Except I went with a 2060 at the time. Set him back 600 AUD. The MSI PSU in the build was a big stand out for me and something I continue to use to this day in a lot of people's builds. Well, watching your video has taught me one thing. Our educational system really is getting bad. Computer building and stuff is taught in high school, pre-high school, when I was growing up.
yo just wanted to say that i have been here from 2016 growing up watching you'll I play on pavilion 15 gtx 1650 gaming laptop for 4 years, I would be very happy to win a pc from u guys.

I appreciate the vids y'all and a couple other channels helped me build my first 2 PCs. While building them I struggled with connecting the RGB lights to the motherboard. You guys have a video on that?
I would not bother. That is a marginal upgrade if any from a GTX 1660 6GB. If you want an upgrade I would find an extra $60 and upgrade to an RX 6600 to get a legitimate performance upgrade.
Still running my i7 2600k lol. I have the RX 5500 and my cpu utilization is still only 70% which is rather weird (It was virtually the same with the RX 580?) That stupid old af architecture chip still rips! (OC @ 4.5 GHz) I may actually be able to upgrade my graphics card one more time!! (Bought the system used with a gtx 770, upgraded to a 4GB RX 580, then an 8GB RX 580(the real one), and now the RX 5500). If you can get your hands on an old i7 (K sku) 2600K, 3770K, 4790K. Do it! They are just beasts for the money. I get similar fps as brand new 6-core chips with similar card. It doesn't make any sense... It's fun to see a $450 build get 100 fps. I remember playing FS9 with a Radeon 512 card and having to tweak settings to get 30 fps and that system cost me $600 at the time! I love and hate PCs! Nothing wrong with all new, but if you can go used on the cheap it keeps e-waste down. Have a lovely day all.
The problem with buying an old 2600k isn't buying the CPU,. The problem is in getting a working Zseries motherboard. Motherboards fail at a higher rate than CPUs.
