1440p is the future of gaming, but is always in the future 😁I will give you one example - RX 580 was at one point enough for 4K in games like GTA V . Now is barely enough for 1080p low in modern titles with FSR.
12400f is still a good chip as far as what you can get new currently. If you’re not afraid of buying used, Ryzen 7 5700x is a much better option in my opinion. It has more cores and threads than the 12400f and also has a higher clock speed. As for the motherboard, You can also pair it with a used rog strix b550f, msi mpg or mag b550 on the used market at around the same price as the motherboard and cpu combo in this video.
yeah true, but am4 is kind of a dead platform now in terms of upgradability, sure a few new cpus came out but you wont have 2 more generations of cpus to choose from like on lga 1700
@@TheRealNeoFrancois That intel platform is also "kind of a dead platform" and a case could be made that AM4 is slightly less "dead" with the recent introduction of some "new" AMD CPU's for the AM4 platform.
@@toothytube true one on hand,,but they will not keep putting new CPUs on the platform, and not only that alot of those newer CPUs are a microcenter exclusive, which lets face it would be nice but the nearest one for me is about 5 hours, and the same or even longer of a travel for other people, while on the other hand with Intel your going to have longer warranty on the CPU(which is not as important),but your also going to have a longer warranty on the motherboard, which is usually the more common failure for computer's, but the best part is you don't have to switch to ddr5 if you want to go a little cheaper on ram and motherboard, but hell we can play devil's advocate but honestly the cpu and motherboard market is and always will be fucked unless we can get more competition in that marketspace
Hey there Guys. The one big difference with the GVG Mall type Windows licenses is that you don't get any support. If you get a "retail" Windows home or pro license, then you can call and get support if needed. That's probably not a big deal for 99% of the folks watching your videos, but do be aware that the cheap $15 Windows licenses (or whatever they cost these days) will work, but you are your own help desk.
Cheers
Rick
Wait, so if I have a problem with my computer and I contact windows for support they just, won’t answer any questions? Or is it more for replacing things that brick?
One thing I would say is that when the 7600 xt comes out to use that instead, as that has the bonus Vram that may be required in more recent titles
The thing I would add is to not use a gen4 drive in the top slot because it will gimp that graphics card
@@darkkingastos4369 x8 GPU so not likely.
New titles don't really need the vram. Unlike the 4070 and 4070ti, the 7600 isn't really bottlenecked by vram. I've the 7600 and it runs games like starfield, baldurs gate and spider man remastered just fine in 1080p.
@@darkkingastos4369extremely unlikely, most gpus don't use full 16 lanes, the m.2 uses 4x and most gpus use 8x. Even if it did, it would affect it minimally.
@@malvinchau2056Should I get this build. I know nothing about pcs
Hey guys love the content. I'd love to see a all AMD build at some stage and your thoughts onto whether there is perceivable performance benefits of running a AMD CPU and gpu together.
If you're willing to buy a used Ryzen 5 AM4 CPU, B450 MB and cheap case, this could be a $500 build with the exact same gaming performance.
Good video, i might build my own gaming pc soon and this was very helpful
Helpful video guys. I have commented in the past with some criticisms of component selections based on price point builds and price to performance ratios. However, I've only ever had good things to say about the quality of your step by step tutorials. IMO they are some of the best available anywhere on the internet. You're tutorials are just fantastic and I'm so grateful. I'm planning a build in a few days using the Montech Air 903 case, and I think you mentioned using a similar case for a $1k build guide. I look forward to it immensely. Any chance of doing AM5 with that one?
Budget means something different to everyone, you may have a lower budget than someone else. In the PC world $750 is not bad, keep in mind could still be done cheaper depending on used/new parts etc.
I’m new to pc gaming been a long time console player wanted to make the jump and this is almost the exact build I was planning thank you for the good info love your vids
I’m the same way my guy! I’ve Bn looking at content and errthang b4 I get into pc gaming I think it’ll be nice! Won’t have to keep switching up jus becuz ps5 has this game and Xbox doesn’t.
I would look at the i5 12600k chips at least, though, as they have been trending at like $10-$20 more than the 12400. Prices fluctuate so just look on PC partpicker and sort for lowest price to see.
@@GhostAcez thanks for the info much appreciated
Always use all your stand offs it’s your ground also reduces flex on your pcb when changing and upgrading components. Don’t skip out on standoffs.
I absolutely love seeing these builds! Would love to see a budget hackintosh build at some point please!
Keep up the great work bros!!! 👏🏻
Should have used rx 6700xt
Wait for the 7600xt to come out on the 28th
so how do I program the rgb to be the same color as all the other rgb?😅
How about a used parts challenge between the two of you, any budget allowed, but the winner is decided by cents per point on Time Spy.
So do you go cheap older stuff or do you go modern faster gear???
Can you please mention next where should we target price of the parts at? Beacuse 32gb ram kit is out of stock so for how much price the ram should be ?
Just bought a windows 11 key with your discount🎉
why 😂
Use FSR - Ultra (Balance cpu bottlenecking in Finals)
Nice build guys!!! an alternative build for $750
12100
same cpu cooler
Same mobo
32gb ddr4 3200
1tb nvme gen4
montech air 100
Apevia Prestige 600w (tier C)
6700xt
total= 765.00
There may be a small bottleneck at 1080p, and next to none at 1440p. Performs better then the 7600 by 12-15%
been lookin for a good replacement for my really horrid pc, found your channel and i've been wondering if i should make this lol
750$ I would go with cpu r5 7600 for better performance,
And A620m motherboard, stock fan. Amd cpu with Radeon we'll have direct memory access ->> performance.
I personally like the 7600 plays anything I want it to I have it paired with a ryzen 5 5600x
says it can do 1440 lol barely can handle 1080 haha
I’m super excited for the $1000 budget build because I plan on ordering my parts soon so I want to see what y’all go with. I plan on doing a Ryzen 5 7600 with an rtx 4060, 32gb DDR5-6000, 1TB SSD, 1050W PS, asrock B650E PG Riptide mother board, and peerless assassin cpu cooler. Comes out to about 1200, any suggestions?
Get a cheaper motherboard and lower wattage psu. And use the extra money on a 4060ti or better yet a 4070. 4000 super cards are releasing soon, so that will drop gpu prices
@@Bdot888 Yeah I was gonna get an 850W but it was only like 25 dollars more. Thanks though i’ll go for the 850W instead, do you have any recommendations on the motherboard? I would love to get a better GPU instead
@@bryanolguin4860 no problem! And yeah an 850 watt would be more than enough. And also a B650 non E motherboard is usually cheaper. Ive gone with gigabyte the past few years and have had no problem. Just read reviews and get the best bang for your buck. Always better to get the best gpu you can afford at the time. But if you can only get the 4060, then it still will be a good gaming experience at 1080p regardless!
Day 4 of asking for a better graphics card then the gtx 960 2gbb
Say you had an extra standoff touching the back of the motherboard. What would you do to fix that?
damn you hunks be churning out the vids hell yeah
CAN YOU REVIEW THE Lenovo ThinkPad T490 please I getting it for my birthday 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Good balanced build.
you could of use the thermal right pearless assassin se argb around 32$ and have better better cooling
Can I upgrade the pc in the future?
For $750 it's this vs the legion go 1tb handheld.
Is there an alternate power supply you can use I don't mind it being a bit more(have been wanting to build a pc and I think I might use this as a blueprint)
Cpu 80% 🙄
Please add Indonesian text I don't understand what you are saying, and I want to upgrade my regular PC to a gaming PC but I use this spec intel core i5-10400f gtx 1650 But I don't know what the next items are
Instead of the 7600 could I use an RTX 3060?
you cant put 4 rams even though it has the slots for it?
On which cpu should i upgrade if i want to upgrade
Would the intel I5 12600kf work on this build in particular?
I'm curious why there is just one fan on the CPU cooler. Would it be okay to have a fan on each side of the CPU cooler?
Diminishing returns. Need enough (relatively) cool air across the fins on the heat sink to cool it off
curse you insane import taxes!!! I might've been able to build this ;-;
hello could u revieuw or use the Asrock B450 pro4 R2.0?
Whats the name of the 1game you played
Hows playing in 720P here?
Nooo way
The i5 12400f was a secret until this video. All the bundles I was building with are gone. SOB!
thanks but the case is out of stock
A good alternative is the Montech Air 100! Also has 4 ARGB fans preinstalled with similar aesthetics and ventilation :)
@@ToastyBros thanks. Is it also possible to use another GPU? Example like a RTX 3060? The AMD ones are also flying off the shelves fast. This is my first pc experience.
Cool
bro is actually cracked at fortnite
Idk if y'all understand what Budget means lol ONLY $750... It's cheaper to buy a Xbox series x .. you gotta get below $500 to be "budget"
Does this run Fortnite and Roblox I only want those two games
it can certainly run fortnite, and roblox isn't that resource intensive so im sure it'll work
Same thing I’m asking here…
1440p is NOT the future, its the NORM and has been for many, many years. Including 4K . All you need is the right rig.

What's the point of saying it's made for 1440p gaming but only test in 1080p?
😂 they think we dumb
Every 1440 build is tested 1080 p 😂😂
I honestly have been wanting to build a pc, but don’t have very much 🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑 and I think this video will help me, and everyone else who wants to build a nice cheap pc! Thanks toasty bros! ❤😊
so tired of the same games being used to test out pc’s. is the same BR shooters really the best way to do it? I would think graphic intensive games would be better like cyberpunk or starfield or the like. First I’ve seen that new shooter which is cool but doesnt tell me much
Thats the point, Fortnight makes mediocre builds look good FPS wise so they run it.
Ok I’m a console guy saving up to get a pc this year friend of mine likes tarkov and I got to play it for the first time loved it how well would this build run it?
Why dont you make the most expensive gaming pc
If this comment gets 12 likes 👍 u shuld do it
Nice build. Thanks for all the great videos.
Why was the gpu at 70% and gpu at 78% in the finals game are you bottle necking?
Not to in a million years would anyone consider an RX7600 a 1440p card 😅. Still a well priced build.
Decent build guide but I would definitely not buy that $80 1 tb gen 4 ssd when you could save like $45 on a 1 tb gen 3 ssd and use that extra money to get a 6700xt vs the 7600….
I’m in Canada and I can’t find the ASRock RX 7600 is there a substitute for it?
PLSSSSSS respond
I prefer the ryzen 5 5600x over the i5 12400f there both the same price but ryzen is slightly better
Hi, computer idiot here: I’ve always preferred AMD as well, but would the Ryzen 5 still work with the GPU in this video or would I need to get a different one?
@@sabresister yes it would work no problem!
Do I need something for WiFi or do I need a Ethernet cable
Depends on the motherboard
What do you guys recommend for a motherboard with built in wifi and bluetooth for a build around this price? Is there at least one or a couple of options available? Thanks.
im so glad youre doing this i was debating to get the nzxt player one and this might help
for this build i want a Nvidia card what card should i get?
prob like rtx 3060 12gb
I just completed a fairly meticulous Ryzen 5 5600/Radeon RX 6700 build (with multiple performance & esthetic upgrades to that build) for only $805. I've found your videos to be quite helpful in getting me back up to speed on all the current hardware options that would be a good fit for a variety of "budget" builds. As i've been using my prior FX-8300/RX 470 build for over seven years now. PS: I built my first PC with the advent of Windows 95 back in the early days of "dial-up", so the actual construction part is childsplay. However, making appropriate hardware choices requires research, and input from TH-camr's such as you two is a big help.
Is the 5600 better that the i5?
Is it wifi compatible with out ethernet cable
Pretty sure
Woahhhhh
Y’all have the b660M- HDV link in the description, not the pro RS
Can you use a i9-12900k into this build?
One thing to note is that the i5 12600kf has been dropping to around $150-$180 recently and may be something to look at if you're following this build.
whats better about it?
@vexnity460 It has 4 more cores (they are efficiency cores but will still help out with stuff running in the background while playing games and will help in any multiform task). It also has higher clock speeds and is generally faster. I just saw earlier today on PC partpicker the variant with integrated graphics was only $170.
Basically, the 4 extra cores and bit faster speeds will make it slightly more future proof for only $20 more. The i5 12600k is basically a slightly better version of the i5 13400.
@@GhostAcez what about the ryzen 5 5600¿
@vexnity460 That one is good too. It should be on par in gaming with the 12600k. Just slower in multitasking workloads like video editing and stuff.
I would say if you're looking at Ryzen though and don't already have an AM4 motherboard you should just get a zryzen 5 7600 instead. Yes the cpu is like $40 more than the 5600 and ram is like $20-$30 more for that platform. You maybe end up spending about $100 extra for a 7600. But it's way more worth it because if you want to upgrade in the future you won't have to buy a new motherboard and ram all over again so it will save you money in the long run.
@@GhostAcezwait so the one they used is worse than the one you named?
Does the mother board already have WiFi or do you need an ethernet cable or antenna or what
I wish I had $700 but if I was to get a PC for that price to be safe I would probably just buy an ally
Why you holding a shifting spanner in thumbnail 😮😅😢
@toastybros could this run gta5 or days gone?
Would a pc build like this run cs2 good?
any recs for a different case? the SAMA is out.
How much does this build go for on pc bros
Will this be able to run helldivers 2?
I don’t feel like risking ordering all this and having an issue never built a pc before something always goes wrong in my life even if it’s so simple, SO can you please just offer that build for 750-800$ and I’ll buy it all set up plug in and be ready please I’ll buy it tomorrow
You can just return it if it breaks
i just found this channel and i was just about to make a pc, thank you so much!
another banger!
if you're doing with ddr4, would have went with 5800x3d and am4 platform but still a great build!!
The 5800x3d is a beast! I upgraded to it recently and frame drops are almost nonexistent. May be last gen but still trades blows with newer cpus 🙏
You know I just built a PC with a 7600 for a Birthday present for a friend. How crazy convenient this popped up.
i bought the RX 7600XT 16GB and it is amazing!!!
the future is now old man!
My budget is 800 so
