Dam Flask Road Relays 2024 [] Full POV FAST Team Race [] Summer Storm [] Top 3 County Finish?

The Dam Flask Road Relays are a popular summer event held on the outskirts of Sheffield. I was running in Leg 1 for my team - Penistone Footpath Runners V50 men. Could we achieve a podium finish against several strong clubs from across South Yorkshire?
And watch out for the mother of all summer storms!

Stitches are the pits. Normally get one in the wind. Probably gulping too much air for me, and yes, slowing down helps, thankfully. 👍

"Sometimes 'great' is an overused adjective" Brilliant. I used to live in Sheffield in the 1980s. Some lovely training runs. Sheffield weather, though!

Great video, it really captured the evening superbly! That course PB of 19:07 is very impressive indeed, I'm guessing that wasn't in Vaporflys!

Thanks Steven. Indeed not. Probably Nike Ekidens. In fact my super shoe adjusted time here is probably around 18:30 😀

I used to notice signs for Bradfield and Dungworth on my commute from Bakewell to Deepcar, some years ago. For some reason I'd often get the names mixed up in my head, and invent a place called Dungfield 😅

As I mentioned elsewhere in the comments, probably an 18:30 with super shoe adjusted time :-). Also near by is Ughill. Which you can say next time you hit a challenging incline.
