The upgrade to 50e, best of all worlds. BMW claims 40 miles EV, seeing 50+ EV real world, over 50mpg in hybrid, & 483 HP when you want it! Easily 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, then back to sleeper mode
I have one on order. My understanding is that the trailer hitch option does away with the foot activated opener in the back. That’s why it wouldn’t open.
How do you like it so far? I got one and tbh I kinda regret getting rid of my 22 M50i for it. I don’t like the huge screen, I don’t like the shifter, I don’t like the day time running lamps looking at it from the front, and I don’t like the grille as it looks so spaced out and open. In all honesty I feel like I would trade it in for the 23 as I usually keep my cars until 90k miles anyway.
You’ve answered two questions I had about my 2024 x5. First one was what those little dots were on the moonroof. After watching this video I started my car for the first time at night and got a pleasant surprise and the answer to what those dots were. The second was that I had seen another video which showed the power of the car when driving, but I didn’t know you had to be in sport mode to see that. Had mine a little over a week and am loving the fact every time I get in it I find something new.
those aren't LEDs in the sunroof - those are etchings in the glass that reflect the LEDs that are on the side projecting inwards. And the reason the kick to open up the back didn't work - is because it isn't installed with the tow hitch.
Happy to see a good M60i review! I ordered and just received my M60i in the same color, but with tartufo, piano black trim and the V spoke wheels shown in the 360 degree view here :). Loving it so far!
Saw this vehicle at the BMW IA in West Allis, WI. Very nice as you have shown. Those wheels are a problem in the Midwest but if you are buying something of this caliber, you should expect to replace the summers often and run winters in our climate. Thanks for the comprehensive review!
I’m picking up mine tomorrow I will have the 22 inch black with spare. I live in New Jersey and I’m wondering why can’t an old season be used it’s non-run flat ? Also, has anyone here had any problems with the screen and electronics that’s the only thing that is making me hesitant as far as glitches and problems)
Good review. I have nearly the same spec. Pull handles in the back to drop the back seats. Four wheel steering is a nice addition. I keep forgetting about the boost function! Need to try it.
You can stay with the M60 and add the small M emblems sold at the dealership to the side fenders. Did that with the M40i by looking up the Euro specifications for placement.
I read on a different review that the exhaust sound was disappointing. I have a 2021 m550 which I think the sound is lovely on. What was your impression of the exhaust ?
I ordered one black edition with carbon inside. But the one I ordered has different lights I think ? But they said it won’t be built till June and arrive in Australia September
I have x7, sad that the x5 doesn’t have the button to auto fold the second row seats. On x 7 it does have the button. Trailer hitch kills the foot thing , :(
Hi. Just drove my 2024 M60i on I80 interstate and I must say that the stability is a huge concern. I dropped the speed to 50 mph and exited the interstate as soon as I could. The car wobbles / drifts like you have no control over it. It’s extremely stressful and gives a feeling that I picked the wrong car. I’m open to constructive feedback and suggestions. Thank you.
The X5 has the perfect amount of lights. Mercedes has to many lights. It’s like a fungus, every new Mercedes there’s more and more lights. It makes it look cheap.
Great review. Im trying ti decide if i want to trade my '22 M5 Comp for a new M60. Love the M5 but thinking about something a little my practical. Any advice? Did you tester have the M puddle lighting when you open the doors?
The big thing you’ll notice from your comp is the ride. The M60 can be a lot more calm and relaxed ride. The M5c is a lot firmer even in comfort mode. I don’t recall seeing puddle lights but I was only with the car during the day sorry

There are no V6s in BMWs lineup and hopefully you are not talking about the inline 6 B58 that comes in the X5 40i because that is the best inline 6 in the market.
@@sergiogarcia9822 So you say get the X5 40 i best inline 6 in the market? Plus you save on not getting the M not only on gas but on sticker price of about $15,000-20,000

Regarding that 40i engine I had it personally in an M240i and an M340i, loved it and never had one single issue.
@@sergiogarcia9822 This is my ultimate internal struggle. Do i get a the X 40 or the M60? Thank you for your input this exercise helped me make my decision. As much of an M fiend I am, i think for mu budget, the X40 I is more realistic. In some ways it has its advantages over the M of course the M is a rocket but it’s also less efficient on gas. That is the catch 22 something has to give. You sacrifice performance for efficiency and price, at least for me. My wife just got a pretty nice ride she got the Acura MDX S type. That is the largest and most powerful SUV that Acura has on the market. The thing is a fast but not a rocket like the M but the price new is also 75,000 versus 100,000 new. But i see it this way what you pay for is what you get. Why are Mercedes and BMW the most expensive; because German engineering is the besr. Some people might say Japanese but I’m coming from an engineering background I can tell you that Japanese cars have their problems even Alexis they have issues with their lights, on the dash, it always goes out.
