I believe Eren hasn’t changed, he has always been himself and waist no time to END all titans. That’s his goal, and for this to happen he needs to sacrifice a lot of people. He is killing innocent people but if he doesn’t these people will die plus many more.
The reason is eren wanted his friends to fight him and wanted to show the world that his friends(Eldians) are good people by eliminating eren the founder so if they kill eren it means by chance all Eldians might get the freedom the hoped for. In my Books Eren Yeager was never a monster a person who knew he with never win, he knew the outcome and did not change it
I think Eren actually wanted to destroy the world but couldn't finish the job when he realized his friends were willing to die to stop him. A lelouch story doesn't make any sense because Eren's genocidal Lelouch only became king of Britannia
I hate people that say they hate Eren in his new "bad guy" when really he is just trying to let all his friends live longer based on what he saw when he kissed historia
Saving his friends at the exchange of millions of innocent lives and massive natural consequences that will probably make living in eldia a bad place bc of all the trees and plankton that were destroyed, practically leaving the atmosphere too sink in oxygen levels and dooming everyone in eldia

Eren never gets it right. He associated freedom with what Armin told him about, his ideal dream of freedom didn't come himself but was dependent on someone else's dream. That's why when they finally reach the ocean eren feels empty because his ideals were crushed, on the other hand we have Mikasa, Mikasa at a very young age understood the meaning of life, her first tragedy being at the hands of humans, she understood how killing titans isn't the only thing that's gonna save humanity. She didn't consider Armin dream her own. She didn't chase after something abstract like "freedom". Rather she focussed on the present. On what's in front of her. Protecting what's in front her. And that's why when they reach the sea,Mikasa, who never depended on someone else's dreams is the one who's genuinely excited for the first time. We see her smiling her biggest smile yet seeing the ocean. Eren on the other realizes what Mikasa realized a bit late but by that point he was already chained down by his own blind chase freedom. In the final arc we see him referring to Mikasa as freedom in one major moment. In Ch 121, Eren tells Zeke how if anyone takes away his freedom, he'll steal their. He says this to describe the scene where Eren Protected Mikasa. Eren wasn't the one in danger then, it was Mikasa that was in danger of being taken away in that moment. And then in Ch 138 we finally have their meeting. Eren asks her to forget him after he dies so that she doesn't live in pain. But she refuses to forget. Because well where is the freedom in forgetting. And what Mikasa has been symbolised with the wings of freedom before. Mikasa shows eren what freedom to her truly means in their final moments. And what other person could show him freedom other than Mikasa the freest character ,someone whom Eren held onto till his last moment, his home, someone who sees him not as a saviour nor as a devil, but just as him. Someone who loves him without any obligation.
@Iamagmammal you did not just use the word simp under a serious analysis. Lol. Anyway Mikasa's goal is to protect her family, keep the promise she made to Carla, acknowledge both the cruelty & beauty of the world and live no matter what and that too by her choice.

@@m1ner_va489 I'm already having a long exchange with another person about this. So I'll be quick here. Eren, with the help of Historia, takes away the power of the titans of Marley. The people of the island get together with the asian clan and creates an alliance with other nations against Marley. Marley is overwhelmed, and a peace sign is reached, making the Eldians free people. Marley pays for the years of suffering they caused by posing connection and power all over the globe. Eren and Historia take away the titan powers, ending the era of titans. In less than 100 years, the world is finally done. The end. But the AoT fandom wouldn't like that, they have a serious problem.

Nah not really. He tells his true goals throughout the series. He also announces his plan when he could've kept them in the dark. He wanted them to stop him. Lelouch from Code Geass does the same thing.
I feel like Erin is like Thanos in a way. He's going to do what he feels like he has to do to keep peace in his eyes. Even if he has to murder millions to do so.
My CRAZY theory: Mikasa is Ymir. I said it's crazy but hear me out :) I think this is somehow entangled with Mikasa's memory flashes and ackerman origins which still were not explained fully. Also, it's weird how founder could erase everyone's memories except ackermans, like they have some kind of access to Paths. Then, ackermans cannot become titans? Why? Maybe because Ymir lives within them and Fritz did not want her to access her own full powers once he renounced war. Also when Eren told Mikasa she is a mindless slave used to protect a king this was very similar how Ymir was described in 120 chapter. And then, that Ymir smile when she is looking at Mikasa at the end of 138 chapter... This might explain those multiple timelines. Seems like Mikasa is controlling them, like she has powers of Ymir.I feel like something crazy will go down on Mikasa/Ymir story in the next chapter. Re-watched all anime endings. Seems interesting how first season ED is focused on something coming down from space/stars(maybe centipede) and Mikasa. Many times in this manga/anime story I get a feeling like Mikasa story is the main one. And it never gets explained what is happening with her which I find quite odd. So, what do you guys think?
It could be true. Isayama said that Mikasa is the heart of AOT, she is the center of the AOT universe. Many Japanese fans speculate that Mikasa is in fact the protagonist of AOT, not Eren. We will see.
can you explain to me how? if Eren plan is to make the world united againts him, Eren doing a terrible job right know to make the world againts him. if Eren dies, wouldnt be a logical choice the world attack paradise because Eren killing millions of innocent people and paradise island is defenseless because their only defend is the rumbling.
I think that eren is doing what lelouch did and his requiem. Both characters had their rights and freedom taken away from them. Both desired power to stop the fighting and take back freedom. Both characters obtain power and use that power for "good". Both characters learn the truth and make the decision to become a demon/threat so powerful that it would take the whole world to unite to stop them. Only to have a friend/lover kill them which then brought the world together to form peace.
In 4 more days, we will need to say goodbye to this masterpiece. Let our tears of joy or either sadness will be enough to fill Hajime Isayama Sauna aka The GOAT.
when necessity forces your hand , morals go out the window, to be called evil by people because you wont go along with their plans ie destructive pacifists.
in my opinion Eren ideology is that of a hero by crushing the world and the titans so it can rebuild the world new where marley and eldians difference/hatred are no more but others in the show see him as a evil person
He wanted to stop the wars between humanity and be freed so he made himself as the enemy so that endless wars between humanity will stop also get rid of all titans once and for all.
Eren preaching and seeking freedom but he is the one who is bound by someone elses will (ymir) Lil girl deadass used him as a pawn to fix her own mistakes
nope. they are together. ymir never had a will of her own she was a slave but eren freed her. ymir is doing all this bcz eren wants himself dead and free everyone from titans.
Plot twist: Eren is working alongside his Alternative versions of himself. So, he didn’t really “die” when Mikasa chopped his head off. She killed off the “Alternative Eren” This version of Eren is alive, inside of a crystal due to his War Hammer abilities.
What I find funny is how people didn't understand Eren as a youngster, thought he was too emotional despite the crap he'd been through and the fact that all he wanted to do was free humanity. But then Eren grows up into a nasty mass-murdering adult who is happy to kill even his own friends and suddenly everyone understands and loves him? *eye roll *
the aot timeline can be a time loop like eren seeing his mother beeing eaten and than some stuff that we didnt see it could be the previous time loop where eren couldnt free ymir and choose some other path. inthe last chapter what mikasa saw could be a previous timeloop where eren decided to run away with mikasa instead of doing the rumbling and the timeloop will end when eren frees ymir by killing the spinal creature. it could be that the ppl with the founding titan and ackermans can see the past loop like eren and mikasa did
He’s not the villain, he’s sacrificing a life with his loved ones and friends for a life to keep them safe and bring humanity together to fight agains one common enemy. Him
Thank you 🙏 I have a friend who absolutely hates Eren and I'm flabbergasted, like **slap** NOT MA BOI 😭 He thinks he's weak and was constantly in a pity party then just broke. It made me mad tbh.
I think it’s sad to see eren as a kid then he grew up into an adult just to die deaths like are sad to me just seeing him growing up & developing into a better person just to die in the end when I read the manga I was in tears I was also listening to the ending song rip eren 😭🥲🥺 but I don’t think eren changed he kept his promise for his friends to see the outside world & to live long
In short: he is restarting the work s, breaking the curse for the future generation. The final panel represent new start with eren holding the baby. A new life of freedom for Ymir. Although I think there are no good perosn or evil in aot but there are evil acts but that doesn’t make the person entirely evil. Most events are due to circumstantial and self defense or freedom to fight back or fighting for their freedom. At the end of the day it’s a anime lol. But if ask me the whole story everyone has freedom to o fight for what they believed in. Both paradis and the world has that freedom. Where the strongest will wins
For anything to become anew the old has to be shattred, its a painful process. Tbh I was furious and confused through all of S4 bc both sides are so brainwashed its insane and Erens sees and connects all from the past, so much trauma.
In the outro song of aot s4 p2 really talks abt love and it most likely talks abt eren loving mikasa and how eren would protect mikasa and sacrifice anything for her, but mikasa doesn’t reciprocate these feelings making eren mad, and another thing that caused the rumbling is Erens moms death
Ive always known butterflies to symbolize a rebirth of some kind. In my opinion the butterfly is a representation of eren and the praying mantis is obviously meant to be mikasa. Im not sure what a praying mantis is suppose symbolize
The world today Is filled with people living pointlessly... Doing meaningless actions leading to one outcome their expiration. This story mirrors today's reality of the cycle people perpetuate.. selfishly existing not caring about humanity as a whole. Imagine a world where everyone faced the world's issues, humanities' issues like Eren! Better outcome for all!
Yeah, I figured as much that Eren isn't the bad guy. Like he always talked about was freedom and just seeking freedom, and if this is what he has to do to get it. Well then, that's fine with me, cause I 'd do the same.
There isn’t a concept of good or bad to me it’s just what has to be done to make change. Some will see it as good or bad obviously but it’s not up to anyone to decide as long as the changes can provide different results better for everyone
This is truly what I believe... Eren followed his path of freedom He kept moving forward.. People don't realise if eren truly wanted to end the world He could have ended it in an instant
8:00 Oh, so Ymir was the one who let the pigs out. Considering the level of civilization at the time, she got off easy. Letting pigs escape which can lead to the starvation of a village is a pretty big deal.
I think eren is like Madara or Obito in naruto because Obito and Madara made the whole world come together to defeat the big boss to make the world in peace so Eren is like the big boss where the whole world comes together to fight the big boss.

@@SirSadness He either lays down and let’s humanity kill the all Eldians within 50 years (euthanasia plan or not), uses a partial rumbling to delay the inevitable while justifying everyone’s fear of Titans along with the Eldians who can turn into them, or kill everyone and absolutely secure survival for the Subjects of Ymir. Even Hizuru, the only nation with a slightly positive look towards Eldians, saw it better to leave Eldians painted as devils for world peace. Marleyans apparently are the tamest with racism toward Eldians compared to the rest of the world too and that’s only because they use them as expendable weapons that are soon to be outdated, which even pieck admits to in the latest episode.

In my Books Eren Yeager was never a monster a person who knew he with never win, he knew the outcome and did not change it
Lelouch?
(Lives of the many outweigh the life of few) for some reason this quote is just nonsense
I agree he is definitely not a monster.
Man. The plot of aot is so stupid to me
I think Eren actually wanted to destroy the world but couldn't finish the job when he realized his friends were willing to die to stop him.

Eren Yeager is trash.
Saving his friends at the exchange of millions of innocent lives and massive natural consequences that will probably make living in eldia a bad place bc of all the trees and plankton that were destroyed, practically leaving the atmosphere too sink in oxygen levels and dooming everyone in eldia
The King: Ymir's dead?!? Kids grab a fork.

Like what
I assume he told them to eat her to inherit her titan powers? But how would he know that they could inherit it that way? Yeah I agree there's something missing... Also about how the nine signature titans evolved... I'm not a manga reader, but it's probably in the manga
@@notavailable403 probably is in the manga, but that seems like a huge leap in logic. She didn't even receive power from consuming a titan but somehow that was the conclusion to inheriting the power.
@@artypyrec4186 Well the King wouldn't really know what else he could do. All he knew was Ymir had special powers, and he probably just panicked and told his kids to eat her as he had no idea what else to do, and he desperately wanted to keep the Eldians in power.
@@zura8879 after thinking about it, Future Ymir probably knew she had to be eaten, and past Ymir probably told the king what needs to be done when she dies, since she was loyal to him. I was so done with the whole discussion until you posed that last moral dilemma. That one, my friend, rocked me to my soul. Well stated ABD!
This!

My CRAZY theory:
Mikasa is Ymir. I said it's crazy but hear me out :)
I think this is somehow entangled with Mikasa's memory flashes and ackerman origins which still were not explained fully.

I just finished code geass yesterday and I can agree that the end justify the means

There isn’t a concept of good or bad to me it’s just what has to be done to make change. Some will see it as good or bad obviously but it’s not up to anyone to decide as long as the changes can provide different results better for everyone
This is truly what I believe...
Eren followed his path of freedom
He kept moving forward..
People don't realise if eren truly wanted to end the world
He could have ended it in an instant
Eren didn't change. He stayed exactly the same up to the end.
Naruto could just use talk no jutsu and the world of AoT would end in just one season.
They didnt do it to unite them, but to control them through tsukoyomi.
