if blanka is spamming heavy ball at full screen, you can jump back on reaction and punish it with a jumping attack, although you may need to use a cross up move if he goes under you
Important to note: Jamie's MP Rekka is indeed unsafe on block IF he didnt space it properly. If Jamie is doing cMK into MP Rekka and the cMK is hitting JUST far away enough to barely connect with Rekka 90% of lights will whiff, letting him get an easy sLK whiff punish. If he DOES do it up close though, you can blow him up for sure.
Can confirm this, facing a Jamie with good spacing tricks you into thinking you can punish his rekka but it does the opposite, learned this the hard way

Then it becomes weak at mid level because Jamie players dont space it properly and get blown up for it. Then powerful again at high level as a safe string ender/whiff-bait and an easy confirm off of lights at midscreen.
Sure thing, punishing isn't only about frames as spacing well play a big part of it as well. Its just cause i have seen a lot of players let Jamie get away with very close ones and even saw Jamie's doing DR > cr.MK > Rekka and get away with it.

Fyi. Dont always drive impact Lilys cr.HP xx wind charge. She can fake it, recover in time, and and drive impact you back. Also d.HP close enough is 2 hits and is easily hit confirmable into the medium wind charge. and the cr.HP is cancellable into Drive impact on reaction
Really good stuff but some of these punishes are hard because they involve getting a perfect parry. Maybe a few months from now perfect parries will feel easier but right now the timing is tight.
Worth noting that if a Lily think you'll impact her heavy button to condor wind, she'll either use meter to make it a true blockstring with EX wind or do light wind then impact back. Be careful!

Chun-Li's sweep is only -7. Not sure if anyone can punish it with their own sweep, you'll have to use something else. It can be an absolute menace if spaced well. Guile's rolling sobat kick is similar, it's easily punishable point blank but if it hits you with just the foot, good luck.
I’m gonna say this, never di Luke’s heavy flash knuckle. I main Luke and I assure you, the second I hear the di sound I am monkey mashing the super cancel the entire move has on contact and you are eating punish counter ca Also just to be clear, it cancels into lv 2 as well so you can only di it if he has 1 bar or less

How do you dr from perfect parry? For me the character just forward dashes when perfect parrying jp's spike when i press forward >forward. Edit: ok got it, you have to hold down parry

I enjoyed the video and it's well put together, but punishing a missed shoryu-style attacks is a little lazy imo xD Instead of showing how to punish let's say Juri's od pinwheel, you could show that you can punish non LK Fuha (MK is -6) since the LK version needs to be super close.

Man I tried that Honda sumo smash punish buut is mad hard to get the drive to be out before that thing land on your head. The rest so far I tried have been useful (welp as much it can, I seriously confuse with timing to punish stuff in this game....Zangief overhead kick had me piss off tring to punish that shit that supposed to be negative as hell in block, but it have a mad weird timing to punish, and Gief recover so mad fast.....I feel too many stuff in this game are SAFE when should be mad negative).

Are you talking about where he dashes back? Is so a 5 frame move will beat the low and the overhead takes 25 frames. You can actual land a heavy to punish that. I usually wait a split second and if I don’t see the low I stand HP into a full combo.
Its difficult cause in the heat of the moment, you are also thinking about his shadows zoning, him drive rushing, etc. But i have seen high level players do it before
Its great when he pushes you out full screen. Its always the first thing they throw on your wakeup. I play juri so that into drive rush and I'm full screen in like 15 frames lol
@@MCMuraFGC Like Mura said, it is EXTREMELY hard to do so. Your goal is to be able to make it to mid screen so you can jump at him and punish him. As a JP main, I usually don't do special moves at the minute I am at mid screen.

The easiest way to punish it. You jump back with a crossup and just do a full combo. You can Drive impact the other version.
Same with Honda headbutt

If you main gief you can use 5HP to counter many moves like Hondas headbutt, ken's dragon kick and much more thanks to its 1 tick armor

Just Drive Impact that garbage... as long as he doesn't cross you up, you have a punish counter.
You can counter most of these moves with only Drive Impact. Most moves are active and have recovery over 25f combined.

The main incentive is that a punish counter drive impact significantly reduces your opponent drive gauge
Yeah it does add scaling but it's compensated by the big damage of the first hit.
I just want to say to experiment with a jump-in normal starter for a DP punish, if you're looking for damage.

If you play Juri punish counter with forward heavy punch. It becomes + enough to link st mp at point blank range. Drive rush into ridiculous damage.
