    I really like the AZ-Max La.kunn looks like a good value, with everything you need for an RV that is self propelled. Size is great for storing away when not using it. It is an RV that most people could afford.

  • @nicoladawn

    What about all the Nucamp t@b and t@g options? The T@b 320S has everything 2 people would want with the pleasure of a toilet/shower, and room to swing a cat. Or Safari Condo alto?
    The teardrop world has exploded in the last couple of years. I feel like you chose some pretty random examples. The Barefoot (UK and Europe only) is also a great one for people to check out. The finishings are spectacular!

    I enjoyed seeing all the options. I have an 87 Easy Up motorcycle camper...in excellent condition. They now sell for around $3400 but got mine used for $750! Pulls easy, very compact...less than 350 pounds, and is waterproof, basically a large tent on wheels. Pretty spartan, but I like that for camping, not being interested in taking it all with me! Ha ha. And can easily sleep 4 when needed.

    The ideal D.I.Y. unit would use light weight steel studs, frame and slide onto a utility trailer for seasonal use. To minimize wind drag, the
    uit would have a roof upper walls that nest over top of the bottom unit. Windows and doors would be placed into the frame after raising the roof.. All camper amenities would be installed in the lower half of the package. Light weight steel studs with 6 inch depth provide sufficient space for cold and hot weather insulation.. Scissor action of an exterior support frame would raise the top.

  • @MichelleLevasseur
    @MichelleLevasseur 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I'm a Class B sprinter van lover all the way but I did like the Geo Pro simply because I do a lot of tent camping and I like to camp in bear/coyote/wolf country so having a wee bit more security than a tent would be nice. I drive a jeep so this one is a dream for that. I'm also getting up there in years and would like to have a bit more comfort. However, living in one for very long (more than 2 weeks) would be nuts. I'd like a 22 - 24 foot camper van for those situations.

I would like room for 3 crates maybe under a bed or have them as the seating bench and an a incinerator toilet no water needed. Almost (75%) everywhere has a shower to use. My favorites are Little Guy Mini Max and the Armadillo. Both are designed well. Since I am not interested in an indoor shower, I prefer the Armadillo. But I could easily see myself in the Little Guy. My hesitation comes from the fact that they do not mention the insulation on their website and I cannot tell if their campers can be used in frigid temperatures. Whereas the Armadillo advertises the ability to use the camper in very cold temps. In addition, the Armadillo has this extremely handy storage tray that goes under the camper. Every camper should have this feature. Dealing with where to put the hoses is always a challenge.

    All these look very cute. I followed one of these on the freeway, and because of their lightweight, the trailer started to wobble sideways in the wind, it took the pulling vehicle and the trailer upside down into the ditch. No one survived.

    As a truck driver, I have no problem living in a small space. However, it has been a dream of mine to get a GM PD4501 (Greyhound Scenicruiser), and convert that to my own special motorhome.
    That would be like a dream mansion to me.

    • @timothyfiedler344
      @timothyfiedler344 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      conversion is where time and money comes into play... I bought a used diesel pusher and did minor renovations to make it my home.. I'm close to retirement, and I could live in this for the rest of my days and it was under 30k.

      @@timothyfiedler344
      The conversion wouldn't be any trouble for me. I've repaired a number of damaged conversion vans in the late '80s, and also worked on a few motorhomes. All interior work.
      Properly sanded and painted plywood looks just like drywall, so there's any new walls, and it doesn't easily crack like drywall does.
      Provisions for securing furniture are the hardest part as that leaves permanent scaring on the floor, but is both the safest way to go, and also required. It's not physically hard to do, but no one wants to hack up a perfectly good floor.
      I've got 26 years, mostly dry van, but more recently, grade A tanker. No baffles makes for an interesting ride with partial loads, but I got rythem, so it ain't bad.
      Flatbed, grain hopper, and refer are randomly mixed in, too.

      Make one out of a small aluminium (punt) boat on a trailer. Make an arch roof (like those old school wagons) out of tinted 1.5 mm thick poly carbonate. Make end arch bulkhead shapes out of wood. Front bulkhead has door and rear bulkhead has a window that is also an escape hatch (no access through poly carbonate sides. Make a bench seat at the rear and a narrow bench top at the front and a table for your computer at the bench (like a dinette) that converts to full length bed. See my channel for my "Funky Wagon" near the top of my list. Cheers.
