I purchased Martin bundle after mac sparky obsidian field guide and I prefer Martin. Because of detailed QAs and use cases, more time in Martin how to use is my most need.
Congratulations on your book release. It’s been a strange year so I haven’t been able to keep up to date with your work for a while, but it is always inspiring when I do connect with your videos etc. Merry Christmas! Tim
I have been failing college as I struggle so much with organization and note taking. There are so many options out there that I feel like every note I take isn't "proper" or "useful". I want to learn so bad but these constant thoughts stop me from making any progress. I found the Zettelkasten through your channel and instantly found it interesting. I feel like it's such a good fit for me. It gives me a sense of safety when taking my notes. Like there isn't a "wrong" way to taking them. I definitely want to buy the book but only work part-time and was wondering if you have a student discount to take a little bit off? I understand if not. Thank you for your hard work and introducing me to the Zettelkasten method!
I just want to say that I've taken your comment on board. I will think about ways I can implement what's called Purchasing Power Parity so that everyone gets a fair deal.
Ive been trying to learn game develooment but struggle finding a system that works for me and lets me just trust the system. Could this book be helpful for me?
I believe so. In the Q&A part of the book I cover how to use it for technical notes. So while the whole book doesn’t strictly guide how to do something like learning game development, the principles can apply.
Just saw your video about your book. Definitely will purchase. One question: do you cover note taking strategies for meetings at work? My meetings tend to cover several projects with lots of activities I must follow as a senior manager.
Thanks. I don’t cover note taking from meetings. But you could consider meeting notes as ‘fleeting notes’. The main difference is that meeting are mostly about things that are quite time specific (opinions, decisions, status updates). So it could be more of a journaling approach than a knowledge system.
Hello Martin...I am from India..I wanna ask that I want to use your notetaking app on my android tab(chrome) but I am little worried to use it as there is no login options. Are my notes safe on android tablet? BTW it's a great app...just little skeptical about it...not a tech pro person...please look into the matter. Thanks!
Hey, what I recommend is keep on the waitlist for the app join.flowtelic.com/. Now that my book has launched, 2024 will get my full attention on the app where I put these ideas into practice. The most notable difference is that it will be an offline app first. I'm developing for desktop, mobile/tablet and still the web at the same time. This means the current beta will probably go end of life due to some fundamental changes in the internals to make it work across platforms. If you do end up using it, just make sure you keep downloading your collections as offline zip files for your markdown files. Here are some details of how that works: docs.flowtelic.com/fundamentals/import-and-export
Dear Martin, i wish you can make a comparison review liquidtext vs margin note3. I guess these 2 programs are very unique. I know you use liquidtext but not sure you heard of margin note3 which is my favourite.
I’ve not used it personally, but looking at the visuals on their homepage I would be surprised if you can’t apply the concepts to it. The book aims to be pretty agnostic to any specific app.
Missing in obsidian? According to scrintal(for me I myself prefer obsidian): The current approaches to personal knowledge management, including Obsidian, are focused on a single stage of the complete flow. Obsidian is great for writing down ideas and structuring them. However, brainstorming stages of the knowledge flow, collaboration, and finally being able to have a holistic view of the information all at one glance are missing parts in Obsidian. Additionally, there is a lack of visual tools for sharing information and this is why Scrintal, as a tool, bridges the gap between structured data and visual representations of that data.
Any questions then reach out by email. My email details can be found on go.meda.io/atomic-note-taking-ultimate-zettelkasten-book.

Great idea, I'll check out margin note and see how I get on with it.
is it possible to implement the concepts in heptabase?
