Bought your book today, and also got the e-book deal. I followed your guide, which was super clear if you actually read it - and I know have my ZK ready for action. Following the guide, I've also started on my first bib-card, translating everything into Swedish as I write and think. I will sleep well tonight! Stay crispy!
If you plan on dedicating an entire zk to the study of one book you can take advantage of the tree structure it allows you to construct, with arbitrary depth towards the newer and newer 'leaves' (cards). The traditional way would be to file the cards according to how close they are by content, rather than their proximity in the book. In fact you can get around having to make a separate index by book/chapter/verse because you already have the book as an index! Just write the relevant card number on the corresponding page. What 'close by content' means generally depends on your goals in making the zk: to this end it helps to define an overall project that you're going after with your zk (e.g. your own book project, etc.). It's important to decide how you'd like to access your notes, i.e. to think about the indices (indexes). E.g. I would make an index for people (characters and authors, also external ones) and one for secondary sources (e.g. later theorists, historians, apologists, critics, etc.), in addition to any that could be relevant to your project (I use salient keywords for each card). But the main way to get into a conversation with your zk should be the hyperlinks among the cards themselves.
I found you on FB and decided to check out some of your videos before taking the full plunge into your Antinet School 🙌🏼 I signed up for ALL the action you offer. Thank you so much for all your amazing offers! Here's to starting the adventure I've been wanting to, but didn't know how to, for over 2 decades!
Lol I love the silent heart. I think he uses 4"x6" (10cm x 15cm) and I do too. It really depends on how much you'll write on each card. I'm often done with one sentence and find the size too generous (the zk gets heavy and cumbersome to carry around).
Question: If I am watching a video and getting research information for my zettelkasten, do I treat the video as if I am reading a book? What I mean is this: do I fill out a Bibliography card and take notes on the back, and then expand individual topics from the video onto a main card after I have watched the video? If so, then what do I put at the top of the Bibliography card (since t=often times there is no 'author' - do I use the name of the Channel? Do you then put a cross reference to the Bibliography card onto the main card created from that Bibliography card? How do you do this? I really look forward to an answer (maybe even a video showing how you do it).
Hi. Thanks for your videos, where do you buy your bibliographic box? I have been looking online, but have not found the one you use to store your Zettelkasten. Thanks for the info.
Scott, I have been using this analog zettelkasten for almost 3 months now, glad that I haven't wasted much time on Obsidian, haha. Can I message you? I need some scheperian advice.😂🎉 From the Philippines

They're auto generated, therefore that means he has no control over them. It's TH-cam's issue. If he was manually writing the subtitles, then this would be something to point out, but seeing that the subtitles are automatically generated, unfortunately it is out of his control.
Scott, I have a question. I know 3 languages: Filipino (our national language) English (the international one) and Minasbate (my very native dialect). I aim to publish my contents in English. But I cannot even grasp a profound thought unless I think in my dialect. Alas. Please reply...🫶❤️

The brain is the best tool you have , it works better and better the more you use it.
TO THE MOON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
hello. im just wondering how you deal with books with more than one author or different sections with different authors?
Hi Scott, how can I use this system to take notes for Bible study? Any ideas/suggestions will be super helpful! Thanks!
Yep
Great question. I was thinking the same thing 😊

Could you please tell what is the size of card you are using?

It does get messy with non-traditional sources. Personally I divide my bibliography index in terms of media type first, title second and author third.
I haven’t heard that term in years from Gary Halbert. You brought a smile and fond memories. Thank you Scott.
Just a question: How do I implement this if I am reading a textbook? Do I need to write a bib notes, or should I just make a permanent note?
Could you do a video specifically talking about the best way to implement this method for bible study s?

Hi sir I want to ask you
That
How in universities all around the world
Divide entirety of known human knowledge
I mean classify everything that is known
How many subjects or disciplines of knowledge are there in TOTAL
On broad level how many disciplines are there
Please answer me
"Brew Coley", "Zonke", "right" instead of write... Please double check the auto generated subtitles!

Calling us viewers "freebie seeking TH-cam shitweasels" often enough made me buy the book.
What a nice subtitle :)

Antinet is for you
@@scottscheper I mean, should I use my native language? Like niklas Luhman used german
@@amazingwahr7606 Luhmann used both German and French. And some Germenglish. Whatever language he read the book in he quoted from.
@@scottscheper Thank you. It's big help for me, really. But, another question. Should I read one book at a time?
