That mare you took on trial is clearly in pain. She needs to be checked by an unbiased vet. There is definitely something wrong with her mouth or the bit, and possibly pain in other areas
Owner got 30 days free training out of it. I cringe to think how much money she lost on all of those lessons and clinics just to end up not getting her.
you made the right decision not buying the one that didn’t want to get vetted by another vet, thats such a big red flag!!

idk why but awkward horses are my favourite lol they are so cute in their own way :) i used to ride an awkward horse and i absoloutley loved her!
