Nice little gun for the money. I seem to be doing loads of this panelling at the moment and running my nail gun off my compresser but it's heavy and cumbersome with an airline to drag around. Think this could be an invaluable addition to the arsenal! Thanks Phil, very helpful and informative. 👍

Nice job of the shaker style panels. I've owned this 18g nailer/stapler for about three years. Got to say, it is not a bad piece of kit for the money. I picked mine up when it was in the bargain section for just under 50 quid. I've used it on a number of jobs, both at home and at work. It is not part of the 20v range, as it takes an 18v battery - good luck finding a spare! Even at full price, you just can't grumble...drum roll...here comes some grumbling. Whilst ideal for fitting skirting, architrave, and the like, it is a bit too bulky to use on smaller projects. The only other advice I'd offer to anyone considering this item: don't use the pins that come with it! They are not galvanized and will rust - especially if you are going to use water, or acrylic based paints - leaving unsightly brown patches over time. Alas, I discovered this the hard way. For the workshop, I finally bit the bullet, and bought a small, very quiet compressor along with an 18g pin gun. The compressor came in just under £150, but the nailer was a bargain at only £29. Of course, I wouldn't want to rock up at somebody's house with a compressor, or drag a hose around, but for the workshop, it really is a pleasure to use. Anyway, thanks for sharing your experience with this item.
It depends on how much work you got, mate, if that will be OK. I got the ones you run of a compressor and work well but are pain because you got to drag a compressor. I got the paslode 2nd fix, and it's a beast fires into anything, where I think youv will find that one will struggle with some walls
The difference in price between a paslode and the ferex is over £400 so unless you are using it a lot it's not a worthwhile investment. I have both battery (DeWalt) and air nailers and there are occasions where the air wins out...the battery can be too aggressive on small Scotia trims especially the non wooden type even with the settings at the lowest.whereas the small air nailers which uses 18g pins leaves no marks and has less tendency to split the trim
@Phil Beckwith The Professional Painter & Decorator l had a mini compressor mate when using my nail gun. I agree cordless is the way to go, but also depends how big your pockets are.

Aldi now sell a 20v nailer
Aldi now sell a 20v version at £49 but only takes 32mm brads not 50mm as it says on advert but will drive staples

David Brent on nail guns 😂
I think the Aldi and lidl tools are fine for DIY. I got a 4 in 1 tool from lidl and it does great. 20v, 2 ah battery. Plenty enough
Spare battery is Bauker from tool station made by positech
Loving the videos Phil 👍🏻always informative.
Thanks 👍

Cordless is the way to go... Lugging a compressor about... Up stairs etc... I'll give it a miss. LoL

its got a light. watch the video of me doing the panelling on the walls, using it
Does it take nails smaller than 50mm too?
Not sure tbh
.. I suppose they are long enough to go through the wood and into the surface it's attaching to.
Yes max nail size 50mm. min 20mm
Hi i got one of these but my nails are firing but arent penetrating through 2cm deep wood ...xan you tell ne how i can sort it please?
did you watch the video where I show you how it all works?
Aldi sell the battery packs and charger separately seen them in my local one
I don't think they are the same as the nail gun said not active battery compatible ... as it's 18v not 20/40v like the battery packs online at Aldi.
@@ProfessionalPainterDecorator Oh that is annoying maybe contact Aldi would be silly if they don't do spares. Excellent channel BTW thanks for sharing your proffesion.
Had the impact driver but getting a spare battery is a ball ache
was it more money than buying a new driver?

Just had a look on the aldi website and couldn’t find it 😢
ooooh, they sold out pretty quick then, I pre ordered mine, as you know. Google the brand and see if anyone else sells it.
How to order in Germany this one sir
You can buy spare batteries in the shops 👍
The battery packs on line aren't compatible. As the nail gun isn't the active battery compatible

Important is how well it works not how it looks
It works
The only drawback is when people get over exuberant with their nailer and you then have thousands of pin holes to fill 😵💫
No Longer available in store or online.
Why did you not shoot any actual nails?? This video tells me nothing useful
it's an unboxing video... this one will help you though... th-cam.com/video/GXpnTYnmwnU/w-d-xo.html
I had one of these guns ...
Total piece of dog s..t !
In what way?
Should have bought from Aldi, Battersea Dogs Home have only just got into the tools game 😂.
I bought one from Lidl, parkside brand. It was my first nail gun. I found that it is not very powerful. Sure, for very simple tasks maybe. But No.
Ideal for doing DIY panelling though
