@@johnrutherford4042 thank you very much yea I think it's a good deal.
I looked for a review everywhere couldn’t find one I bought it then you came out with this vid very helpful thanks
Yea I couldn't find a review on it either. Cheers!
Great review looks like a great tool very handy thanks Phill 🍺🍺👍👍
Cheers Brian yea it's not bad pretty useful.
Nice bit of equipment. really good review and demonstration 👍
Thank you!
Hi Phill, happy new year. Great review on the nail gun, look's like your very happy with it, I have used my brothers battery nail gun he got from Aldi a Ferrex . I do have a Parkside mains powered nail gun it's ok not as powerful as the Ferrex battery nail gun. As always a good and honest video, Take care👍
Cheers Shaun & Happy New Year 👍🏻 yea so far so good. It's not bad.
Looks lovely 😊
Yea it's pretty useful so far 👍🏻
SOMEBODY GOT INTOUCH Phill it's only a second fix nail 💅 gun phil ok for bird 🐦 boxs 📦 ha ha but not fence work 😅
I bought this about 2 days go love it
Yea I'm liking mine too!
Nice machine
I might get one of these it looks good Great review you have a new SUB.👍🏼😁
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks.I wanted to buy one Nail gun. This will simplify a lot of repetitive work and save time as well.Best wishes.
Your welcome
Looks identical to my Aldi Ferrex gun, I’ve been very happy with it 👍
Yea it does look the same as the Ferrex.
@@PhillWyattProjects I wonder if the batteries are the same 🤔. Toolstation used to sell Bauker batteries that apparently would fit, but they’re not listed now ☹️.
@@idlersdream826 wickes own brand batteries fit
Will it fire 50mm brad nails 💅
Hi great video by the way well done agd good effort, what brad nails are you using and what brand many thanks
I wonder if they are similar to the ferrex nailer. Looks good. Be an absolute bonus if ferrex battery or Parkside battery fitted. I have the same corded nailer and agree that sometimes to it doesn't have the oomph you need.
It does look similar although I don't know about battery compatibility from other brands. I have quite a few Excel cordless tools at the moment so I always have spare batteries on hand.
Its looks terribly similar to my Ferrex Nailer, apart from the colour of the plastic
Thanks Phill, another Excel-lent review, that looks like a handy bit of kit, seemed to work very well, did you have any issues with jamming, I presume not as not mentioned ?
As you say the power settings are very much down to personal experience and trial and error, even the hard/softwood names can be misleading an old weathered resinous softwood fencepost can be considerably harder than a bit of generic "hardwood" salvaged window frame !
Cheers Andy good points 👍🏻 I haven't had a problem with jamming. Although if a nail does get properly jammed, you can remove part of the front nozzle to remove the jam. It seems quite straightforward.
@@PhillWyattProjects Thanks for the answer Phill, good to know !
All these Brands use the same tool just different colours and re-branded
Einhell
Sealey
Clarke
Worx - battery adapter available on ebay to Dewalt and Makita
Draper
Excel
Batavia
T-Mech
Work-Zone
lumber Jack
Kimo
If all these tools use the same battery pattern as the Worx then all these other brands can use Makita and Dewalt Batteries too with an ebay battery adapter.
Thanks for the info. I didn't know about this. 👍🏻
Katsu, Ferrex, VonHause & benchmark to add to the list.. I did notice the benchmark and lumberjack tools have a quick release clip nail jam feature , does your Excel have this?
Bought a 5 ah battery . Sends them Nails and Staples straight home .
Yea it's quite powerful I think.
You swapped to a 5ah battery for the 40mm Brad's. Did the 2ah battery not have enough power?
It made no difference. Both batteries worked the same. I just grabbed the 5ah because the 2ah was in another tool at the time. Both batteries are 18v and perform the same in terms of power in my experience.
PHIL I WANT YOUR HONNEST REVIEW ON THIS PLEASE IS ANY GOOD FOR 3/4 FENCE BOARDS I BE USING 50MM BRAD NAILS I HAVE JUST SEEN THE REVIEWS ON EBAY AND I WAS IMPRESSED COMPARED TO THE CORDLESS CORDLESS LUMBERJACK NAIL GUN 🔫 I CAN GET IT FOR £102 and £40 5amp battery but I carnt find a storage box phill
Apparently it will fire 50mm brads although the most I have used in it is 40mm brads. I was using it to attach pallet boards to a shed panel. I would say because the brads are quite thin, I would always recommend adding some additional screws to prevent boards from potentially lifting over time. They are not thicker ring nails only thin brads so they are more for fixing temporarily that a long lasting solution. I hope this helps. Yea I don't think you can get a storage case for this gun.
@@PhillWyattProjects yes but it's not a first fix gun more a second fix for light pinning
PHIL SEEN THIS ON EBAY MATE ITS NOT A FIRST FIX NAIL GUN WHAT IAM AFTER ITS MORE A SECOND FIX NAIL GUN MAY BE OK FOR TRIM AROUND THE DOOR IN YOUR HOUSE BUTS ITS NO GOOD FOR 3/4 FENCE BOARDS HIKOKI ARE THE ONES TO GET OR DE WALT OR BETTER MILWAUKEE M18 NAIL GUN THANKS PHIL I WONT BE GETTING THIS 😢
Phil have you seen Morley kert what he does with old pallets worth a look lol
Yes I have actually. Watched quite a few of the pallet builds a while back. Cheers Gary!
@@PhillWyattProjects I love the stuff you put out but bet you could do and sell a good table same as that guy pallet to bird box and hedgehog box he makes in his flat then flat packs them if all over the place lol
A coffee table is on my to do list for this year👍🏻 @@garyclifton2180
should have shown it nailing hardwood
It nails hardwood just like it does the staples. No problem at all.
