    Guys Sydney just won the 200m over Steiner, Thomas, Brown and Adeleke by a pretty huge margin. I am still shocked

      I wasn't shocked. I just remember her opening 200m in Paris last year and she just ran 22.38 a few weeks ago. She said she was hoping to go under 22. Now THAT is scary.

      Not sure on the times, but Steiner was ok, and Thomas was not good. Not sure what happened with her, i think she rounded up to a 22.4 if I remember right. Maybe she was thrown off by how awesome Sydney was running.

      @@yavb3lo1futb0lk3 I actually think so. Considering the fact that he's a jumper who switched to running, and deteriorated AFTER the Olympic games having "injuries" but still managing to run 10.10-10.30 I'd say that's his natural form. He is also known for improving by huge margins, but he's not consistent in his times (unlike Bolt who also improved by huge margins, but was a lot more consistent)

      Why would a jumper transition to a sprinter, rise out of the blue win the Olympics, and fall off after 2 years and begin running high school times. That's quite a short reign if you ask me, and very suspicious.

    the field this year is mad competitive, it should be a sub 9.8 finishing time. although we should note apart from Bolt, Blake and Gatlin's era, Jacob's 9.8 is the next fastest time at the Olympic stage. guy certainly has the potential to compete with the field this year

    10.0 is good for Jacobs right now, I think. The thing with him is he’s not usually as fast as the others, BUT, his technique looks good, and if he’s at this speed now, I think he could get into 9.8’s given his actual technique…hoping he is physically strong. I don’t see him as a podium threat yet, though. To be continued.

      They got more rest than they normally get season to season which helped with recovery and injuries and health in general. Many train too hard to actually be healthy which is terrible for their bodies so they often get sick. It's not a mystery for you to hit new peaks and get gains after a rest period. That's actually pretty common since you need that rest to fully recover. I recently maxed out my pull ups and push ups without doing a lot of volume work at all. Just circuit training with low reps but a lot of rounds and then plenty of rest with sea moss, maca root and herbal supplements. I don't do creatine or even whey protein either.

    I know my comment is off-topic for this video, but I'm pretty sure before the end of the day, you guys will post another video regarding the Neutrogena Women's 200m at the L.A. Grand Prix... when it's posted I hope it answers 2 questions... *one:* isn't Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone's winning time of 22.07 an exact match for Abby Steiner's personal best ..? & *two:* what's going on with Gabby Thomas ..?

    • @jkf9167
      @jkf9167 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Abby's personal best is 21.77. Sydney still has 0.2 to go. If Abby manages to capture her overdrive gear from NCAAs/Olympic Trials 2022, she can compete with almost everyone. Gabby is streaky. If she's healthy, she'll be back in silver medal form by August.

    • @Elliottklassen
      @Elliottklassen 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I disagree a ton on that. Reider has helped coach athletes - especially those with previous serious injuries - to new heights. De Grasse moved to Reider after two seasons of terrible injuries in 2019, and immediately won double individual medals. He later went on to win the Olympic title in the 200m. Bromell, who has had notoriously horrible injuries during his career, ran his very fastest times under Reider and won a medal in Eugene 2022. Christian Taylor, possible the greatest triple jumper ever (and in an injury-probe event that makes longevity and consistency very difficult) jumped his very and dominated for almost 8 years. Reider also brought Dafne Schippers back to her best form in 2017 after Olympic disappointment, winning bronze in the 100m and gold in the 200m. There have been questions surrounding Reider’s character outside of coaching (misconduct), but as far as the quality of his coaching is concerned, he’s been one of the best for a long time.
