Middle Eastern here, its kind of interesting for me what people outside the Middle East think about Arab scents and trends in perfumes but to be honest, I'm born and raised in UAE and I've never used any of these perfumes as they aren't very on trend in UAE. Altho I see a prominence in western TH-camrs using Lattafa and Alrehab, in UAE it is considered pretty cheap and sold in the supermarkets for easy accessibility, most Arabs don't enjoy it because we have higher quality brands that are also affordable. Swiss Arabian on the other hand is a good brand however the scent that is most prominent for us in that brand is the oils but even then it's not something that's very popular here in the middle east. In Arab countries, we really care about the quality of the product, their longevity, and their sources of the material which is why we would rather buy from individual sellers who make their own perfumes and would guarantee their quality. In regards to actually trending brands here I'd recommend Dar Al Teeb, Ayaam, Atyab Al Marshoud, Ibrahim Al Qurashi and Gissah, every middle eastern will have at least ONE of these brand's perfumes.

Thank you for the enlightening comment. I never considered that perspective. It's akin to US Target perfumes or when I go to Whole foods where we have Pacifica fragrance. Again, great comment. Regardless, I love the middle eastern fragrances cheap or not. Have a great day.

Hi, Since you live in the UAE, and I visit Dubai and Sharjah Often, I want to know if you know any authentic retailers online on in person who sell these brands. I tried looking up on Google, but didn't find anything useful. My family there is not a fan of perfume so they don't know much either. Your recommendation will be really helpful. Thanks.

@@qandeelrajput2191 For all these brands I’d actually buy them from a site called boutiqaat, it’s probably the most popular site in the Middle East and has a lot of trendy brands. For the physical stores the ones I know in Dubai are:-
Dar Alteeb - Dubai City Walk 2
Atyab Al Marshoud - Dubai JBR Beach
Ibrahim Al Qurashi - Dubai City Walk

Also, a beautiful clean but not soapy musk with some yellow florals and beeswax is Royal Musk by Al Haramain.

Inara by Swiss Arabian is super underrated. Powdery, floral, and a little bit of sandalwood. Put it in your hair when it's wet and it'll last for 24 hours.

    • @shymiiu5948
      @shymiiu5948 ปีที่แล้ว

@@naomih2498 i aint the one you asked but i have tried both Inara and Inara Oud. Each costs the equivalent of around 40 dollars. Inara is very sweet and fruity. Undoubtably for spring and summer. I can notice a scent of manderine, bergamot and peach in head, followed by the floral ones composed of jasmin & rose notably, and all of the woodiness (santal ?) is in the background. I swear i can smell musk in it. The woody part is very subtle, you'll mostly smell the fruits and musk (musk is a great component in perfumes in my opinion. If you like the scent of it you would love a fruity-floral mix with it). Not my favourite of the brand but defo worth it if u like those types of scents.
Inara Oud is for colder weathers. It has been out of stock for a while now. It is a great alternative for Shaghaf Oud if u wanna save up some money. It is a beautiful mix of oud, fruits and vanilla. It defo has some safran in it, litchi, and rose. It is basically the same as Inara but instead of plain woodyness in the background, you'll find oud, teck wood and vanilla. While being very sweet is also has some subtle spicyness to it. I would'nt say it's a cheaper Shaghaf tho (Shaghaf Oud is more powerful and bold), but if ur looking for a sweet fruity oud, it'll be the one for ya.
Both of them lasts pretty long. Not as much as Shaghaf Oud or Casablanca, but you wont need to reapply much. When i've tried it it lasted for 7 hours on my arm. It was pretty much faded at the end of the day but still cool. Personally im waiting for Inara Oud to restock again because it has definitely caught my attention.

Casablanca (and most Swiss Arabian perfumes) need to sit on the shelf for a couple of months. I was blown away how incredible Casablanca smelled like when i came back to it!! Gorgeous caramel amber with sweet grape. I dont get the apple pie reference at all as many describes it as.

I love Choco Musk, it's one of the most layerable fragrances in my collection and I wear it a lot. The edp does not wear nearly as long as the oil though - if you want something with longevity, get the oil version. If you want both throw and wear layer them both together. I don't get anything artificial in this, to me it's pure milk chocolate deliciousness :) To me, Yara is strawberry milkshake, but it doesn't smell like that to everyone. I don't get shampoo in it at all, or hairspray and I wouldn't like it if it did, so I'm very fortunate in that regard :) One of my new favorites is Paris Corner Rifaaqat which is a dupe of YSL Babycat, it's like Babycat amplified :). Another new love is Rasasi Qasamat Ebhar.

Thank you for your honesty! I've just started to dabble in these. I wanted to add that I have Shaghaf Oud by Swiss Arabian and typically don't enjoy wearing rose, but the jammy quality helps a lot (but, yes, it's a beast and can be...harsh, for lack of a better term). I recently bought Ana Abiyedh Poudree by Lattafa and it reminds me a lot of D&G The One (the original) it lacks the peach, but is powdery in a very similar way that I enjoy and the bottle is beautiful. Projection and longevity are just ok imo, but it's $20ish. Can't wait to try a few that you mentioned.

but either way I LOVE it. very coconut creamy. Maybe one of the thickest coconut type lactonic fragrances I've tried to date. As the scent unfolds, a sophisticated heart of woody accords intertwines with the intoxicating aroma of jasmine, creating a touch of depth and mystery. The base lingers with a touch of gourmand sweetness and a marine accord, leaving a lasting impression of intrigue and elegance. I love Choco musk at bedtime. It only lasts 1-2 hours on me but that’s enough when I’m falling asleep. I’ve found it lasts longer on clothes- I don’t get much on them though because I have the roll on

I was so excited to try Billie Eilish at macys and had this idea of it being very rich abd chocolatey and tart like a magnum chocolate raspberry icecream bar (which is my favorite). But OMG, it was such a disappointment. It smelled so synthetic, like the fake chocolate essence that is used in cheap chocolates that are used as "fillers" in Halloween goodie bags. Ugh! I didnt even wait for the berries and just left the strip at the counter. and my husband couldnt stand it either. I was hyped about the Nebras too, but completely changed my mind after testing BE. And thanks for confirming that its almost identical to Billie Eilish. I am not getting Nebras.

Have you ever tried ALT. Fragrances' Senorita? I've never tried Aventus for Her, and I'm curious how L'aventure Femme compares to them. I think I'm sensitive to the coumarin, since all I get from the fragrance is like musty old rose & tobacco. I'd like to find a way to layer it before just throwing it out..

I don't know what is the similar offensive scent in Cassablanca, but Kayali Vanilla 28 has it too (unless I got a fake Kayali vanilla 28).

Love so many of these recommendations! Only thing is the Yara perfume I just can’t 😩 the synthetic strawberry was nauseating to me- but also in the same way Burberry Her Intense was so I know that’s not a popular opinion. 💔 Also Lattafa Oppulent Musk is one of my all time favorites and I’d be curious what you think! It’s a very basic but perfect neutral white musk. I layer it with Glossier You (and several others) and LOVE it. I also love Al Haramain’s Amber Oud Gold. It’s a sweet warm ambery earthy oud that feels so sexy and luxurious!

Hey Olivia I know this isn’t related to this video but I was hoping you could recommend a perfume that would be dupe for Tokyo milk Bitter sweet perfume, It straight up smelled like pure coco powder and it was a rich scent too. They discontinued it years ago and I haven’t found anything like it since😭, anything that has chocolate scent only has it as a note or I find the scent too light

Guys , with all respect. These perfumes has absolutely nothing to do with famous Arab perfumes ..I think Olivia depended on Amazon with her purchase which is kind of wrong ..Arab perfumes are waaay more expensive than most of the French and designer once..as an Arab, I have not hear of any of these perfumes , you should check big Arab brands such as khayali , ateej , rasasi, ibraheem al quraishy, abdul samad al quraishi , amouaj ect, .

These brands are trending because they are so much better than what is available at the same price point in the "west" but I don't think anyone believes they are the best overall. Thank you for the suggestions!

She did specify affordable. khayali for example, is not affordable. It’s about $100-$130 per bottle so I believe she was focusing mainly on the affordable scents

I love the way the choco mush smells on me. I only paid 8.00 for mine on Amazon. For me it last forever and I can smell it forever. Soft is being delivered to me today. I have the oil and on me it doesn’t smell like Pink Sugar. My skin picks up the fruits more than the sweetness.

For the record, these aren’t really Arabic fragrances, they are copies of western fragrances that are made in the Middle East ( mostly Dubai) by companies owned and founded by Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals, for example Lattafa and its subsidiary brands are founded by a Pakistani national, Ajmal is owned by an Indian Family and Al Haramain is founded and owned by a Bangladeshi family.
The real Arabian fragrance companies sell only niche and very expensive fragrances, you won’t find a lot of them on TH-cam because of the price
