    I used a 6 channel receiver in mine as well and have it set up like yours. Thinking about eventually putting an 8 channel in so that I can experiment with the different mixes. I'm also running an Avian ESC that I had so that i could get battery telemetry. Really a fun plane to fly and, like you said, they did a nice job with the quality.

      I already added an 8ch and did some fun mixes. Keep an eye for the maiden.

    Nice review John. Love that shade of green too- I bet it'll stand out pretty well up there!!

      It was awesome in the sky especially with a bright blue sky. Really happy with this plane.

    Great first look. I like everyone else think it is a beautiful plane. Looking forward to the maiden flight.

      I think it’ll be fun to fly. I do need to setup some low rates though. These control surfaces are barn doors.

    It's a great plane. I fly a 3500 pack just to add a little weight. It's very light on it's feet with smaller packs IMO.

    Cool plane..would my 4500mah 3s packs fit in this.. they are only slightly larger than 3200 packs..thanks for sharing..ps does it have navigation lights

    Could it run 4s, should the 40A esc be enough

    @ 4:30 You Mention Discrete Ailerons and Discrete Flaps can you elaborate the advantages and if there is a downside to it. I have the same plane and same Tr16s Transmitter. what is the best way to go about setting it up on the Transmitter

    Hi john thanks for the review . I have one too I'm setting it up with a s8r I have question for you and the other folks. when I power up the airplane all the servo cycle once and go to the neutral position. Is this normal?? Thanks

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mine does the same thing. It goes to neutral rather aggressively too.

    Couldn't you have rotated the one Flap servo to drive from the other side? Or was removing the servo to turn it be possibly damaging to the wing? Just a thought. Nice plane.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s done that way by design. It wasn’t a mistake. One of the arms could probably be rotated 180 degrees but I’m not sure what that would do to the geometry.

    • @crotaflyingsolo4759
      @crotaflyingsolo4759 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RCVideoReviews No, I didn't say there was a mistake, I meant if you remove one servo, rotated it 180 then mount the arm as needed, the same position as it is, still facing inward it would only be a minimal difference in rod length. Looks like a 3/8 -1/2'' length difference?
      PS Do you know the cost of the plane, there is no link to where it is available?

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rotating the servo won’t do anything. The arm has to be flipped 180 degrees.

    • @crotaflyingsolo4759
      @crotaflyingsolo4759 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RCVideoReviews YES, that's exactly what I said! Think about it. Or maybe use a reversed servo.

    • @RCVideoReviews
      @RCVideoReviews  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You asked if I could have "rotated the one Flap servo." That is NOT the same thing as removing the arm.
      Rotating the servo to me means removing the servo from the pocket, turning the servo 180 degrees and re-installing it which would also cause the size differential you suggested. That is NOT the same thing as leaving the servo where it sits, removing the ARM and rotating the ARM 180 degrees. They are two different things. By removing the arm and rotating it 180 degrees you would also have to remove the ball from the horn and put it on the other side of the horn. Rotating the arm 180 degrees would reverse one of the servos. Rotating the servo 180 degrees will not reverse anything.
      I don't need to "think about it", I know how flaps work. If I cared to make a change, I would do what I said in the video and switch to an 8ch receiver.
