- On this episode we feature the quickest and fastest 2020 Toyota Supra on the planet. Mikey Tuned brought his beautiful A90 Supra to Palm Beach International Raceway and threw down the new supra 1/4 mile record blasting well into the 8's. I wonder if the guy and girl in the video know what a track or a lap time is? Their brains would melt on a track. Every “I’m a pro racer dude I tune my cars to go quick in a straight line” I took on a track consistently got 50% slower lap times than even the average times of cars like Miatas and base civics even with their 9 second cars. Fuking pathetic. Their small brains can’t handle corners their brains instantly melt their brains can’t even calculate how to push the car at its absolute limit on each and every corner. Heck even holding the wheel straight in a drag strip is enough to make these people sweat due to how difficult it is for their small brains to do something as simple as go straight. On a track they’d have a stroke and die, their poor small brains can’t handle it. If an average driver who doesn’t even ever go on a track or drive to push to the limit gets a 2:20 on laguna seca these “I’m a pro racer dudes cuz I go in a straight line” guys would get like 3:30 even in their 8 second cars. Not impressive at all

Bro the vibes are unreal. My car was tuned there, and I've worked on many cars that have been tuned there. Not only is Mikey a swell (but very busy) guy, Ashley rocks (as you can tell from the video) and every tech there are amazing at their job and really good at pranks.

I'm not from CT I'm from SOMD about 10 15 mins from MIR . But in the early 2000s my dad was at the lead of hp numbers for e36 328s m52s. And George at imported cars of Stamford did the first build of like 500whp and let us use the dyno whenever, so for the next couple of years on our journey to a 1000whp we came up almost every weekend with an old 95 Tahoe barely making it . Always stayed at a beautiful guest house of some rich dude in Greenwich. Everyone up there called us rednecks lol

There was no e85 or ecu that's programmable in the 90s unless your from Toyota. I doubt people had software on a IBM Pentium blowing up their manifolds either. And no one shifting a 6spd like today's automatic. Remember running 28 psi back in the days was insane.

Cars only been around what? A year? And already about to scratch 1,000whp. It took 6 or 7yrs before anyone hit that with the A80. Remember though the B58 sucks. That's what every purist said the first week the "A90" (J29) was released ..... just say'n....

@@1sloyote im waiting too. I think this is building it out of fear of a blow up vs buying another engine (which is probably crazy expensive right now) and then finding out where it breaks. Give it 5yrs when a few wadded up cars have their engines up for grabs, and someone will buy it and then tune it till it breaks to find out how much power it can hold stock long block. I am curious what the stock engine can hold though. The N54 record was like 940whp wasn't it?

Now that you mentioned it, isn't a cage required once you touch 9s? Regardless, congrats to the quick couple for such a car.
@@izzdin6228 at some tracks you might need a cage to even go 10s , as you get fast you'll need to add more to the cage so it can get certified for that bracket the car would be running, that car doesn't have a cage in it and it's running high 8s lol safety first
@@StraightOutThaGudda4U what about a halfcage? (no bars under the roof towards the A pillars, 911 gt3 rs type). They're pretty popular among the A90 time attack supra guys especially the cages made by RSR. I'm not too sure about what goes into a cage fit for under 10s passes.
@@izzdin6228 those half cages are good for like 10 sec cars but once you going 9s you'll need cage on the roof and pillars and as you get faster like 8s or 7s you gotta keep on adding more like there's cages cert for 8.70 , if you go 8.50 then you're gonna get kicked until you have a cage cert for a faster time
