    THANK YOU! This is just what I was looking for when I started searching for the meaning of the term CRM. The first video I found dove right into what it DID, not what the letters stood for and what it WAS. Yes, this is a very basic video - but if a business or person isn't IT savvy, this is exactly what is needed to start them on their journey to better serve their customers/clients. I wish I had a company to recommend your business to!

    A little over 8 years after this was uploaded, it came in a search result and I found it very useful. The people who worked on this video in 2014 must have moved on to greater feats. TH-cam is indeed evergreen and magical.

    Pipelines? So, it's a series of tubes?

    • @BAASSTube
      @BAASSTube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The term pipeline is used to describe progress toward a long-term goal that involves a series of discrete stages.
      For example, a sales pipeline can help you visualize your sales process. It will show you where in the sales funnel all your deals are, where deals are stalling and which sales activities are bringing in the most revenue. It adds a layer of accountability and makes goals easier to achieve by breaking the sales process down into small, trackable tasks.
      We hope this helps clarify!

    Does CRM work the same as ERP

    • @BAASSTube
      @BAASSTube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      ERP and CRM systems use different approaches to increase profitability. ERP focuses on reducing overheads and cutting costs by streamlining operations and business processes; reducing the amount of capital spent on those processes. While CRM works to increase profits by producing greater sales volume and customer satisfaction.
      While the entire organization will come to rely on both ERP and CRM systems. ERP is primarily for financial data and the finance department, while CRM is customer data used by the sales and customer service departments. We hope this helps!

    I don't get it. It sounds like all CRM is, is a central database. If that's the case, why don't they call it CDB. Besides that, if all departments have access to the customers info, how do you account for information security?

    • @awkward6125
      @awkward6125 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It is a central database, but primarily for information relating to customers. It's similar to when you have multiple databases for different aspects of a business, like one for vendors and products and another for marketing.This video is trying to convince people that they need CRM, and BAASSTube likely provides some kind of software or service that is specialized to CRM. It's not called a Central Database because it doesn't hold all the information in for the entire company, just what these customer-relation type positions may need. Security is easily handled by keeping the database local and regulating access from within the companies already existing security measures. Those are just some quick answers. Please note that I'm not a BAASSTube employee, this is just my personal understanding based on my job experience with another solutions-based company.

    Thanks for video, but it is not descrybed for me. CRM is type of software that store all data about customers and stuff. ok. That can be sayed in one simple sentence. But, how is it different than good project management soft?

    • @BAASSTube
      @BAASSTube  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! CRM Software is designed to manage customer data and relationships. It's a software type that focuses on the business's external activities. Whereas Project Management Software is dedicated to projects, or large business goals with clear start and end dates, deliverables, and budget restraints.

    CRM - bloated, overpriced, slow, unnecessarily complex piece of crap software, that could be done by domestic developers.
