      They are not stucked with the old days compared to Gen X's who are pretty close-minded to changes and immediately percieves "unconventional=wrong". Boomers might not understand the concept of it but they are pretty welcoming, and understands that it's how the new age does things.

    I understand people who don’t think it’s a sport but I cannot understand people who say it requires no skill or is easy. It’s like chess, no it’s not a physical thing but it is very mentally challenging and takes extreme skill to become a champion. Gaming requires strategy, hand eye coordination, quick reflexes, teamwork, and a lot of practice. It’s the same as a sport but it’s with a controller. Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

    i think esports is 100% a sport, why? you need to have good reflexes, a strategy, excellent hand - eye coordination and you need hours and hours of practice and preperation for a big game.
    does it need to be in the olympics? no.
    i always compare esports with chess (it is very different i know), a sport that requires brain and hand usage vs other sports like football, tennis, etc...
    chess isn't in the olympics either.

      the Olympics were made as a sort of mock battle to keep the nations from getting into real fights. as warfare has evolved to the point that we fly drones around to shoot missiles I think that esports has a compelling case to be included in the Olympics. At least the sports that have to do with high reflex or strategic planning.

    • @Drako_RS
      @Drako_RS 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@themajormagers in my personal opinion i think the olympics should stay "physical" sports only. because most major esports games you need strategic planning and reflexes (LoL, Dota, COD, overwatch, etc (these are just the well knows ones, i know there are more))
      so if they would do like you said and only include these types of games, than you need to include min. 3-5 games at that point.
      i do think they should make a "esports" type of olympic, like different Esports games played in a single arena. this way i think esports will get a better name across the people that look down upon esports or just don't know it
