Nice, crisp, yet detailed video. I m planning for a family trip to Coorg. Is month of May-- a good time to visit Coorg? Or will Post monsoon season be the best?
Best time to visit coorg is post monsoon. And there are so many beautiful places apart from these. Ex: Mallalli falls, abhimatta falls, surlabi falls, kote abbe falls and kote betta, choma kundh, kundha hills, chelavara falls and many more.
... THAKS .. best explained ... you saved around Rs 5000/- will go accordingly .... but with family let us see how it works out... atleast 1 day we can do it by auto ... reaching coorg on 21st June from delhi although its a 17 days trip covering -Isha Yoga-Jog Falls-Murdeshwar-Udupi-Coorg-Shravanabelagola-Hampi
We are planning to visit Mysore first, after reaching there by train route, from there we will go for Coorg. Will start on Thursday evening/Friday morning from Bengaluru and planning to come back by Sunday. Not gonna stay at Coorg by Mysuru only.A bet hurricane tour but will try to visit two places at once!

Nice video. Thanks. The monsoon season in Coorg, is a time of lush greenery, thundering waterfalls, and a soothing atmosphere. It's the perfect time to enjoy the beauty of nature and indulge in some relaxation.
We are planning for Coorg trip by Feb 17th for 2 days. Your video is very helpful. By the day, from Madikeri to Talakaveri and to Dumbre camp did you used bike itself ? Wasn't tired journey in bike to cover those many Kilometres?
You may get stay for lower price in kushalnagar. But most of the tourist places like rajas seat, Mandalpatti , abbey falls and few more are very nearer to madikeri town. So staying there will reduce your travelling cost and ur time. Even you can plan for a revisit in the same trip, if you like any place.
Hi sapna bhat, Thanks for writing to us. You can go by bike till some part but not till the Mandalpatti point. We not recommend by bike as it is risky because the road is narrow and with curves, some part is completely off road. Even the rented bike people will tell you same before giving you the bike. 45 min time is good enough time to enjoy the Mandalpatti beauty. If you want to spare some more time, you convey same to jeep person before so that he will tell price accordingly.
You could have covered more places in coorg which is near by mandalapatti. If you have driven your bike till the mandalapatti gate. From there you could have taken jeep. There are lots of other places like kote abbi falls which is near mandalapatti..
hi im from mumbai and planning a coorg visit since long time ...i will travel by train from mumbai and this train stops at manglore and also calicut ...can i travel from maglore to madekeri by bus ??or i have to get to blore or mysore. That jeep u paid 450 for is for return journey right ?? Are the rickshaws on meter or its fixed rate ?? do they try to fleece u like in goa ??
You can go from mangalore by bus. Actually they charge around Rs 1800 if you want to book separately(its a round trip from your starting point to and from Mandalpatti). If u find a jeep on sharing basis, then u can get it for lower price. The prices are fixed and common among app jeep owners. There are different jeeps here, while hiring u can choose the best one as per the view from vehicle
@@CurlyBhavya if I arrive in Mysore and then go to madekeri from Mysore will that be a good idea??can you help me with the Mysore itenary if I stay 2 days and then move to coorg
If u have more days like minimum 5 or 6 days, u can cover places in Mysore for first 2 days and u can plan 3 days in coorg. Place to cover in Mysore: - Mysore palace - Chamundi hills - Mysore zoo - Brundhavan gardens(musical fountain) - Venugopal swamy temple - Karanji lake - St philomenas cathedral - Balamuri and edmuri falls - Ranganathuttu bird sanctuary - Lilith mahal If u have time, u can also cover these places: Sri rangapatana, railway museum and sand museum
One more information would be really helpful .... Do you advise this place for a 5 year kid ? Are there some activities for them ? I know one of these is Elephant ride and bird feeding but does Coorg have any other kid friendly kind of activities or places ?
Thank you very much sister you have explained clearly .it is very useful to us. We r planning to Coorg so your video gives us a clear knowledge within the budget . Once again i thank you so much for making this vlog.
We visited in September, Its chilly in the night and early mornings so better carry woollens(not very heavy just a hoodie would be enough). Wish you happy upcoming holiday, Also plz let us know ur experience about the trip.
No, you need to hire a jeep to go to Mandalpatti. Bikes rentals are available in madikeri town. All bike rentals will tell you not to ride to Mandalpatti as it is off-road and not safe too.
Please rely at an earliest. All the destinations mentioned, whether I can go to all these places by scooty or only in some places. Is it better to get a rental car or scooty is enough to roam around these places.

Hi preethi thanks for writing to us. We recommend u not to go in summer as its too hot currently in coorg, even in rainy season we can’t enjoy as there will be heavy rainfalls. You can plan in 1st week of june. Best months to visit coorg - October to February. You can plan with your kid, no issues. He will enjoy.

Better you plan minimum 3 days to visit most of the places in coorg. It will take 2 -3 hours time to reach Mysore from coorg. We stayed in homestay only in coorg
I have visited recently from banglore to Coorg. My self sharing good food hotels must try 1)Coorg Cuisine 2) Shanthi shagar. 3) Paris hotel 4) Udupi garden. Don't go for ambika, No cleanliness/ server behaviour is not good. Tasty wise not good compare to Udupi and shanthi.
So from Bangalore we go to madikeri by bus and then reach our hotel to auto.. Can u travel to dubare and nisargadgama by bike?? Or auto option is also available?? How much would it cost?
U can travel by bike(choose non bus route). From madikeri, dubare is around 28km. From dubare to nisargadhama it’s around 12km. Every ride in coorg is so refreshing. If it’s raining then choose the alternative.
