I was in Coorg last week & followed this itinerary. I saw other videos also on TH-cam to make my plan but this video gave me d best guidance. The 3 days tour turned out to be pleasant & not hectic or tiresome. Those who wish to explore Coorg on their own (like me) should consider this itinerary
Thank you so much for making this video. I am planning this trip and your VLOG literally help me understand... Take a bow and hats off for the detailed explanation :)
Hi,After Seeing your video we plan to visit Coorg in 2nd week of December (3Day Trip) ,Need any Budget Homestay or Hotel please Guide. Video is Awesome and with Useful Tips and Information. And I think your information will help us .
You can choose from anyone of these options mentioned in the video th-cam.com/video/DR97LbiWBLM/w-d-xo.html However, since its peak season now and the video was uploaded long time ago prices may have increased now.
Your itinerary is the best as per me. However, if we were to include Iruppu falls where would it fit? I wanted to cover a waterfall wherein I could be in the waterfall rather than watching it from far away and I guess Iruppu is one such fall. I am planning to come in mid August
Thanku for the positive feedback😊 I believe if u want to cover iruppu as well, you should cover it on the first day itself if u r visiting from bengaluru or mysore. Distance of iruppu from bengaluru is same as madikeri. So if u can start early in the morning u should reach there by 11 or 12 max and then after covering iruppu u can get back to madikeri within 5 pm easily and cover the rest of the places according to itinerary. Wish u a safe and thrilling trip ahead brother.
Thank you so much for the video. Are waterfalls mentioned worth visiting now during the end of March.. or they will catch waters in rains only... plz advise.
We have already made a video on the best value for money resorts in and around madikeri for those travelling to coorg. Plz check that out, I believe u will find the suitable one for u. th-cam.com/video/DR97LbiWBLM/w-d-xo.html
Thanku for such generous feedback For best value for money resorts u can this video on best homestays on coorg, however the prices mentioned are according to the rates prevalent when we uploaded the video th-cam.com/video/DR97LbiWBLM/w-d-xo.html
This video is very easy to understand, I will go from Kolkata, just please, i have two questions, 1. From where can i get the all bus details from mysore to coorge and 2. Can i rent bike from madakeri to visit entire coorg each day, is it possible to visit entire coorge on bike?
Thanks for ur valuable feedback😊 You can just seach for buses from Mysore to madikeri in Apps like Goibibo, red bus, abhi bus, mmt etc. There will find the timings and prices of the buses and u can book from there easily according to ur preference OR alternatively u can visit krctc website and search the same if u travel cheap via govt buses. And ys u can hire a bike from medikeri and travel all the places in coorg but u have to return to madikeri on the day u return thr bike thats all. Wish u safe journey ! Btw we too have shifted to kolkata now😃
Thats a good time if the random showers dont bother you, we travelled around the same time a couple of years back to july, so to get more info about the weather just checkout our coorg vlogs playlist. That would give u a broad idea abt the weather. Happy journey😊
If u wish to cover all the places mentioned in the video then its tough. Otherwise u can try to cover 1 or 2 places in the forenoon of east cooorg and rest in the afternoon cover mandalpatti and abbey falls in north coorg.
You have to give an extra day for that otherwise the planning would become too hectic. Its definitrly worth visiting but you have to keep atleast 4,5 hours in hand to visit the falls and come back to madikeri.
Yes June is a good time, we ourselves visited in June last week, we witnesses someafternoon showers but that made the weather more captivating. Coming to waterfalls its strictly prohibited to get close to the actual falls in most places, it wd be better if u ask homestay or property owner in coorg abt this.
Its great if u a seasoned traveller and little showers here and there dont bother u mch. The views r just thrilling in monsoons , 100 times more enticing then the peak season.
Efforts taken to provide all details which a visitor would like to be made aware off are well included. Nice video. Do we get self drive vehicles at Medikeri. Also is it safe and fine to avail one , any issues from locals as ola and uber do not run there. Secondly can three riders ( 2 adults one kid ) ride a Scooter or is it compulsary 2 per scooter 😊. Thanks
Thanks for the support. As far as I know you can't get self drivable 4 wheeler in Madikeri but 2 wheelers you can easily get. And yes kid can travel with you in scooty, as traffic police is not very strict there, but I personally would never endorse that due to safety issues.
Thats a good time if the random showers dont bother you, we travelled around the same time a couple of years back in june, so to get more info about the weather just checkout our coorg vlogs playlist. That would give u a broad idea abt the weather. And yes there should be good waterflow in waterfalls. Happy journey😊
I personally don't advise anyone to use scooty in hilly terrains, as you need to fully rely on brakes and you have no control over engine breaking through gears but its not that steep in or around coorg. However, avoid Mandalpatti on Bike or scooty, rest all places can be covered with scooty. Road conditions are decent enough except Mandalpatti.
I would recommend riding on bike with a kid, its not safe brother and not worth the risk. Plz try booking a cab or seats in traveller vans on sharing basis.
Yes already mentioned the names of travel agencies from where u can get a cab in video and the approximate costs. Plz check. Auto u have to manage by yourself u can find autos near the bus stand, raja seat and madikeri fort. U can talk to them.
If u r solo or 2 persons go for renting a bike or scooty, thats the most economical option otherwise u can buy seats from traveller vans in the travel agencies I have mentioned in video
Hey, I'm planning a trip to Coorg, but I'm a bit confused about the order I should visit the places so I don't have to run around too much, since they're pretty far from each other. Can you help me out with this? Here's my itinerary for 3 days: Day 1 Arrival at Bangalore railway station/airport Meet and greet at bangalore airport then transfer to Coorg on arrival check in hotel later proceed to visit Coffee plantation and raja's seat stay over night in Coorg . Day 2 Coorg sightseeing After covering back Early morning proceed to visit Mandalpatti Trek ( at your own cost ) . After covering back to hotel have breakfast and after that proceed to visit , Mallalli Falls , Harangi Dam , Talakaveri Temple/Water Falls , Cauvery River After covering all the places head to resort for overnight Stay . Day 3 Coorg sightseeing After breakfast transfer to coorg on arrival proceed to visit Abbey Falls, Omkareshwar Temple, Nisarghadhama forest , Dubare Elephant Camp , Tibetian Monastery/Golden temple stay over night in Coorg . Thank You
Intricate planning but dont u think it be too hectic, u wont be able to relax and enjoy the view. If u r with frnds or bachelor grp then sure u may try this but if u r with family I wdnot suggest u travel so mch and cover so many places in a single day as the distance between some place is too mch.
If u r prepared for rains then I dont think there is any issue, I went to chikmagalur in very heavy rains in july from Bangalore. Have chikmagalur vlogs in playlist if u wanna checkout
I am planning either Coorg or Chikmagalur in mid July for 2N 3D plan from Bangalore. > Which will be more safer to travel in this full monsoon period? > Which of these place takes less time to reach by car/bus from Bangalore? > Any suggestion for hotel in Chikmagalur?
The safest option is by car if u have good driving experience in ghat or curvy roads. Both coorg and chikmagalur are at identical distance but after reaching chikmagalur the tourist points like Mullayanagiri and Baba Budangiri are located at sharp height and roads are pretty narrow also there is lots of fog in comparision to coorg. I have made trips of both coog in june last and chikmagalur in august so if u want do checkout those playlists on our channel. As for the good hotels and resorts in chikmagalur, do check out the video given below on best hotels and resorts in chikmagalur, but this video is little old so prices definitely will have increased as this is the peak season as well. th-cam.com/video/DEZm_y0BsIU/w-d-xo.html
True but most of the places have direct flights to bangalore as compared to mangalore. So still in my opinion those visiting first time to south india should prefer bangalore if they travel via flight.
Very well explained 👏👏🙌

While visiting dubare elephant camp and talakaveri temple from madikeri side u can witness coffee plantations on the way.
Which place will be good for Star Ghazing in Coorg? If possible suggest hotel in outskirts so that I can watch clear sky.
