Good video! Personally I love the drying blanket/ any micro twist towel I’ve used. They tend to feel smoother on paint and they dry much quicker in my experience. I still like 1500, but it’s a pain to wash and deal with, especially because it’s red
Ive had that type of drying towel once. It performed very well when drying, but if you use it immediatly after wash it will absorb too much water and its very hard to squeeze the water out of it because its very thick. Im not a small guy and unless you have someone else with you to help you it wont be fun. I recently bought another one wich is not so thick and has good reviews.
Great video. The DIY detail drying blanket is the same as the Klin Korea towels - they do a couple of sizes. I prefer these shorter pile towels as the get into places better and don’t catch as much. But still dry as well as the long pile ones. One thing to note is that large, high gsm towels can cause issues with washing machines - they are too heavy and upset the spin cycle.
@@willsridecare I believe Klin invented the micro twist loop, I suspect they manufacture for DIY detail. Klin do both twist loop and micro style - they also have a super high density micro towel in collaboration with Carbon Collective - I have this towel as well but it is too heavy for my washing machine!
Thanks for the demonstration. The beauty of rinseless is that there's so much less water on the car. So I've abandoned my bigger towel and gone to a gyeon silk dryer at 50x55. If DIY did a smaller version, I'd be really interested. Thanks again
@@pigeonpoo1823 yeah smaller towels are just easier to handle and carry. I do like the larger size for dying the hood or roof since it’s hard to reach for my vehicle.
@@khaidirsaadam7360 yeah that happens to twist loop towels, the drying blanket has that advantage since it’s not actually a full loop so it doesn’t get caught

@@Stainlessautos right! I’ve dyed a couple towels red already… but it’s more so the bulk and weight that bothers me a little.
Thanks for the test
@@diydetailofficial thanks for the great towel!

Right! squeezing out the 1500 by yourself is almost impossible, it's one of the thickest dying towels on the market! Thanks for watching!

@@trifin5772 yeah it definitely dries every well and glides very well on paint! I thought the Klin towels are twist loop?

twist loop for me for sure the other leave a little streak to soon
The 1500 definitely soaks up a ton of water!
Nice video and comparison.m
Thanks!
I have use TRC towel before and the problem is that the twist loops got stuck with sharp edges and caused to tear apart.
