This is well thought out. I would agree you can get a squat rack for roughly the same price but definitely a great idea curious what other companies will do for a spin off
If I didn’t already have a pull-up bar, and if I had a suitable wall to install this device on, I would certainly consider it. I really like the idea of the adjustable height.
The Rogue individual pull up system should be on here. It’s inexpensive and can be moved out of the way easily and used on travel and since it uses straps just throw some rings on there when you want.
Loved your reviews on adjustable door bars, RPM adjustable pull up bar is so unique and I've never seen a pull up bar like this before. Cool gift idea!
Rogue 2x3 strip with Infinity pull-up bar is, I think, an under appreciated (or never looked at) option for adjustability and space spacing. Requiring a single stud allows for more creative installs - for example, a closet, where I've hidden mine (I live in a large studio, so no garage). I've created a pulley system for pull downs/etc., triceps, can attach bands to it... It's great. Limitations are not being able to go really wide, and trusting your studs/install (if done properly, should be good for at least 400 lb).
I have low ceilings, so I'd love this. Can adjust to do a proper full pull-up (well, of course still with the legs bent unfortunately), but then also take it higher up for TRX/Suspension training, resistance bands etc. etc. Take it down to do straight bar dips and so forth.
With the all aluminum construction, I think where this product would shine is not inside of a garage, but with the right hardware as part of an out door gym.
I've seen a fold away pull up bar before (and own one) but the adjustable feature is very cool. I wonder if they could integrate a sliding feature though and have it the full length of the wall, you could have wall mounted jammer arms.
Peeps that park cars in garages instead of using it as a gym must tend to buy overly expensive items to turn their garage into a semi-gym. You figure they could just get space for a gym. Or maybe just go to the gym.
i enjoy your videos but why dont you try out the product ? do a few pullups so we can see if it moves or twists, do a small workout on it so we can see haha, love your videos and will continue watching, just an idea dont take it the wrong way please
Probably the reason I would buy it, aside from the great finish and adjustable height which is great, is the fact that it is adjsutable in width. My basement has studs that are 14 inch on center, which isnt standard. I jsut bought a fixed-width pull-up bar and installing it cost me more than the bar itself.
Amazing place once when I will to the USA I would like to see your work in person, maybe we can do some business bring all these good equipment’s to sell in Brazil.
Once you mentioned the price my attention quickly drifted to that beautiful green bow&arrow looking device with a band. Do you have a review video for whatever that is?
Could you remove the pull-up bar and put an Olympic bar in its place? To get around the slick powder coat or Evan I bought a cheap curl bar and removed the sleeves to mount it as a pull up bar
Cooper you got connections with the industry. Can you ask nuobell or someone comparable to look into an adjustable fat bell? Can you imagine clicking between 10-50lbs on a knurled fat bells handle...
I was looking at that mechanism and it remind me of the ratchet pawl on my hose reel. Wonder if there couldn’t be an automatic locking adjustable pull up bar that you just have to move up to release.
Ok smart product, but for us big boys that thing looks a bit flimsy, it may be a psychological thing but I think that matters too. But thicker metals and parts would mean more cost too, so yeah a conundrum
Can you give us your thoughts on the MXselect Mx85 dumbbells. You did the lighter ones but I just picked up the newer 85s for $600 on Black Friday and would love your thoughts on those compared to others for the weight and that price point. Did I get a good deal?
If the gym doesn't feel right, "Gym doesn't think like you do", then its time to quit within 2-3 wks. and get a prorated or even perhaps partial refund. Every Gym I used ever; all had a zero-refund policy.
Hey Coop! You mentioned having the bar lower for kids. I'm guessing as a fellow Father and a super duper worker outer guy, you've done some research on what age kids can start doing certain movements and or can start lifting stuuuff. Currently, my sons (5 and 8) in addition to MMA (2 nights a week and practicing at home) are doing squats, pushups, sit ups, and run at least 5 days a week and are interested in doing other stuff that Daddy does (like lifting weights). I was wondering if you'd have any guidance on what's good or bad for kids to do at those younger ages, and if you have any type of program that you do with your kids. Thanks for the dope content. Stay Free and God Bless.
This is how I approach fitness/movement for my kids, I think about this a lot btw. I first model what I would like them to do. This is most important and a life principle. Second, I make it enjoyable. My kids are young, four below 5 y/o and so I'm trying to show them that work, generally, can be enjoyable. Not just during, but the results. Third, I approach the work as play. So, if they see me lifting something and want to do so, I let them at a weight I think they can handle. As many times as they'd like. And as many movements as they'd like. For performance and longevity, both physically and mentally, there's no current structure to their training. It's very much play and a wide variety from jiu jitsu to sports to gymnastics to sprinting to hanging to jumping, etc. GPP. All around work. I would love them to be good athletes, but I ultimately want them to be productive members of society and hard work, perserverance, and an ethic of work can all come through physical training. Specialization early on can kill this. So, summed up, let the kids play. Your 8 year old, I'd probably start to throw some more structure in, but not a ton yet, personally. Raise them well brother. - Coop
@Garage Gym Reviews thanks Coop. I don't have anything super adjustable weight wise yet for my oldest to try out, but I did just order a ton of stuff from REP so he'll have some options soon after the basement (sorry I like to park in my garage lol) is finished. Until then, he can always lift random stuff around the house if he wants. Water jugs, phone books, his little brother lol. Thanks again.
I'm curious what weight this is rated for. It seems sturdy, but I'd be a bit concerned with those teeth. edit: I noticed on their website it doesn't say. I think that's something you should have tested. You might think it's a pull-up bar, how much weight does it need to handle? But let's say you are a 200lbs guy, doing 100lbs weighted pull-ups, it's not unrealistic if you let yourself fall a bit too quickly when you get tired, if you have the grip for it, you could probably have a peak of 400-500 lbs of force on it when you come back to a dead hang.
@@thomasrichter9183 Their Q&A mentions: "We have tested our pull-up bar, and an individual who is 250 lbs will be able to do all things functional fitness!" Not exactly confidence building answer. Bar thickness 1.25" Would be nice if other bar thickness or holds were available.
okkk, this is a serious issue, if a kabal controls reviews to every thing like a monopoly and no one cares well heck I don't care eithers because that has CHAOS written all over it.
"that's because it's not made for you it's made for the person that could afford it" that stung coop
he spoke it like a true apple fanboy
Coop sells money to companies now.
Used to feed content to people.
I liked it. You gotta pay to play.
Currently have 7 different pull up bars in gym and this thing was such a cool design I wondered where it would fit.
🤣 "If you can't afford it it's not for you."

Id buy it and probably will. I love that it folds away like that. I know you could buy a folding rack but i already have a rack.
For like $50 bucks, you can get a folding tire rack that holds up to 300 pounds and works fine for pull ups
Or less than 3.00 go to Lowe’s and buy two open end eye bolts and put a bar thru it.
Wham, problem solved, money kept.
🧠
With the all aluminum construction, I think where this product would shine is not inside of a garage, but with the right hardware as part of an out door gym.
Woulda loved to see some actual kipping pullups, chest to bar pull-ups and bar muscle ups on this bad boy
Sorry Coop, buddy....Design my own training plan and it's part of the fun. But I love all your videos....
coop love your videos. “heigthhhhhhh” is not a word.
I've seen a fold away pull up bar before (and own one) but the adjustable feature is very cool. I wonder if they could integrate a sliding feature though and have it the full length of the wall, you could have wall mounted jammer arms.
I find this product almost perfect.
The only things i’ll add are 1) passive gnurling, 2) +3 to 5 mm of thickness
We need a Sam pull up progress video! 💪
Cool feature, but that price is hard to take. If it had a grippier bar, it might be worth it.
“That’s cause it’s not made for you, it’s made for someone who can afford it”- Coop 😂😂😂
I like how he didn't say people like to park their car in a garage but said they park their car in the gym lol
Jim wendler puts athletic tape on a lot of his pull-up bars, even ones with knurling. Probably would work well for this too
This is made for very short rich people, who can’t jump, who also work out in their garages. They really cornered a niche market there.
Niche product with no mention of maximum load capacity and only option of 1.25" bar.
I like the concept--great for kids, and I probably would just hang handles on it so I'm not worried about the texture.
What kind of hardware is used to mount this multigrip bar to the ceiling at 0:32?
would like to see your work out routine and the equipment that you especially like using
That is wicked unique....
Would this pull up bar be good to install on a concrete wall
Would this last outside in rain? Any idea?
Cool piece, I can see some calisthenics guys liking it.
That's pretty cool. Don't have any use for it myself though considering I already got 3 pullup bars.
Hey Coop, where's the drop test video for the cheap half rack you talked about 3 weeks ago?
wonder if it can be ceiling mounted?
How does it hold up to explosive pullups, I wonder would it wear the contact points over time and become sloppy.
Premium or not, that's too much money for a straight pullup bar.
Peeps that park cars in garages instead of using it as a gym must tend to buy overly expensive items to turn their garage into a semi-gym.
You figure they could just get space for a gym.
Or maybe just go to the gym.
Do some reps at the horizontal or near horizontal position…Kip or two as well. That locking lug is too Sus.

Is there a way to mount it to a rack? Extra height for pull-ups or rings and lowers for band work/ home made functional trainer pulleys.
"People like to park theyr car in the gym" 🤣😆😂
I gave up on the idea, just rather have the sick garage gym 😂🤣

COOP YOU SAID IT'S $400 BUT YOUR VIDEO SHOWS YOU PAID MUCH LESS FOR IT, CAN WE GET THAT DOPE PRICE TOO?
Love RPM!!!
How's it hold up with doing bar muscle ups?
this is the question
Cooper you got connections with the industry. Can you ask nuobell or someone comparable to look into an adjustable fat bell? Can you imagine clicking between 10-50lbs on a knurled fat bells handle...
Is it sturdy enough to do muscle ups?
I have the old 1" cheap barbell hung across my joists with $1 pipe hangers and deck screws #basementgang
Sam gym looks awesome
I was looking at that mechanism and it remind me of the ratchet pawl on my hose reel. Wonder if there couldn’t be an automatic locking adjustable pull up bar that you just have to move up to release.
Some ‘Goon Tape’ on the bar, good to go!
I was curious how on earth this video would be longer than 1 minute.
This guy manages over 8.
Ok smart product, but for us big boys that thing looks a bit flimsy, it may be a psychological thing but I think that matters too. But thicker metals and parts would mean more cost too, so yeah a conundrum
If it looks like Electrical Tape, LORD, I AM BUYING IT TODAY MR. MIKUS.

What's Sam's current pull up max reps?

8:12 Hahahahaha, it's not made for you, you peasants!😆🤣
The mechanism looks like it will give way after a while.
What is the maximum weight it can handle?
Honestly, it doesn't look like something that would hold up a lot of weight.
Genuinely curious, can Coop do 20 pull-ups??
Yes. Almost at my one arm pull-up bar goal as well. - Coop
Pull up bar is a pull up bar is a pull-up bar..... For $400, I'll pass 😂

Fantastic answer, Coop. I'm not a father myself, but that's exactly how I would approach it as well
Amazes me how many people pronounce height as if it ended with a “Th”. “Heighth!”
Review "Bolt Freedom Half Rack Function Trainer Combo"
Who needs a pull up bar when you have a perfectly good tree branch outside?
A lil athletic tape on the bar and your good.
Coop can you do a review on this Brand: Signature Fitness rack? From Amazon
People who can afford it don't need to build their gym where they keep their car.
I'm curious what weight this is rated for. It seems sturdy, but I'd be a bit concerned with those teeth.

really Like a review on thee Proton Blaster Chest Press or Plasma Gun Chest Press (Depends on who you speak too.)
an ad for something that's $150 a month? Disgusting.
It’s a shame there is not a more affordable adjustable pull up set up…oh wait a set of rings will accomplish that. Never mind
praise the Lord Jesus Christ ❤

WHAT HAPPENED TO CALLIN IT A CHIN UP BAR AND WHATS WRONG WITH CHINUPS?
Actually it doesn’t look stable
