Hi Kate. I just wanted to share another fussy cutting idea. I fussy cut the acetate stickers ( the ones with the clear background) because I don’t like the shine. Also, Julie from Camelia Crafts. She’s wonderful, very funny and makes beautiful ephemera. She said that if you rub over the acetate stickers with an ordinary pencil eraser it dulls the shine on the stickers. It doesn’t take all of the shine off but it helps. Just wanted to share.
If you stick a sharp pin in the acetate sticker at an angle, it will let you peel the sticker off with your pin inserted under the sticker. I discovered this by accident. Doing this takes the sticker part off the acetate, thus eliminating the shiny acetate. Hope my explanation makes sense. Play around with it.
Hi Kate. I found that using the right scissors (for me) made me go from not liking to fussy cut to really enjoying it. I admit though i am better at fussy cutting than kiss cutting. TFS ❤
I'm really enjoying your 365 days of Junk Journal Ideas. I love to fussy cut, I find it so relaxing, especially in front of the TV at night. The books you show here look fantastic.
Thank you for the helpful information 👌 I was wondering if you could make a video out of " what's safe to use, or copy" as far as copy write for magazines and books ?
Thanks for watching and subscribing! It’s funny how some people love fussy cutting and others hate it. I like it but have to be in the mood to sit down and do it for an hour. Avid crafters unite! ❤️
Oh brilliant, I learn so much from you, thank you so much! I do not enjoy fussy cutting but feel I am improving over time! I so look forward to your videos each day, never too long as I just don’t have the time or patience for long videos, with the added plus of learning so much and seeing your beautiful creations 🥰🏴
Just discovered you and have subscribed!!! I also would like to know where the German source(s) is/are as well. Can you give us the link(s)? Thank you! Danielle
I really don't understand where you got the "German cut-aparts" Do you get them from Etsy? You said they were antique but the company is still in business? Thank you! 💕
I buy mine from Germany and sell them here on my channel in my live sales. In this video I showed you both antique German scrap in the box as well as the currently being made sheets of scrap. The same factory has been making these for more than 150 years, they are really beautiful! ❤️
@@inkedpaperart1572I was going to ask the same question. Can you feel the difference? How do you know what the paper is made from? I’ve got old books and can’t tell.

What color is the TomBow marker?
#942, thank you!
Rag paper book?
Yes, they are antique books made from rag paper. Rag paper is paper made from cotton, linen or flax material like old clothing rags. It’s the best! ❤️
@@inkedpaperart1572I was going to ask the same question. Can you feel the difference? How do you know what the paper is made from? I’ve got old books and can’t tell.
I still have to fussy cut my Tim Holtz and stickers in the sticker books. The white borders are not attractive.
Some people do cut around them again. I say to each their own and try not to stress about it. ❤️
