I like the look of the strips. I can see a picture forming in my mind of mountains and seascapes. Pretty in my mind but maybe it won't work on paper so the worst that can happen is I will have a collage page. Thanks.
Hey Christy! These projects all turned out great! I’ve never done this process, thanks for sharing & the inspiration - it’s so fun to try something new. And of course I love the little charms/tiny tags! Hope y’all have a wonderful week. 🤍
I've used a cardboard box for splatters, but I like the plastic container and the plastic gloves to really smoosh and work the colors into your scraps! This really saturates the papers. Will be doing this!
What a fun idea! Paint instead of coffee or tea. It's going to be a bussy Sunday with all these video's I have been watching. Btw, my son was the same with haircuts. It did hurt him a lot, his skin on his head was sensitive. I always felt a bit sorry for him, till I found the right barber who acknowledged that it's a common thing for boys. She helped him grow over it. So there is hope😂
You know, I wondered about that, because he had cradle cap, I guess that's what it is. I always thought cradle cap was something from laying down too much, which this one does NOT!! That does make me feel better. Poor buddy. Now, I feel bad, but you confirmed my suspicions. Thank you😊❤️

Thank you so much Christy, I really really enjoyed watching you collage those bits of junk mail, on to that junk mail letter. Fantastic and amazingly beautiful too. I absolutely love ❤️ ❤❤❤ it and I’m going to have a go at this too. Happy New Year Too
Love, love, love this technique! The grungy results were epic! You really inspire me to start making TH-cam videos as I have wanted to for several years. I have had an idea brewing to challenge myself to do a project a day using ALL the junk mail I received that day. I've tried a few times to use the junk mail papers with text but haven't liked the results. Paint or gesso makes them too wet or fragile. And collaging each page seemed like a waste of paper somehow. So I end up just saving the envelopes and some thicker pieces. (I call that free cardstock.) Somehow covering those card stock pieces doesn't feel like I'm wasting paper. Anyway thank you for sharing this. I don't have Tim Holtz sprays so I hope it works with my diy alcohol ink sprays. 😊
Thank you so much! You should go for it! Why not!? Watered down acrylics, watercolors, tea, coffee, dye splatters, all will work great! I even had someone say they used the paint water, like for rinsing out the brush. Let me know if the alcohol inks work😊 I'm thinking they may dry too fast, and not spread. You'll have to let me know! Thank you so much for watching 👀 ❤️ 💕
Enjoyed watching this video. You gave me some good tips on how to use my sprays. I watch Shanouki and Louise Heinzl but I don’t remember seeing this. TFS🌸

I love this idea! I subscribed the other day when you were talking about your husband and how much you laughed together. Thank you for sharing that memory. I love how down to earth you are and how “real” you are with us! Omg, my grandson, who is 3, went through a stage where every time he came over he showed up with a band aid in the middle of his forehead! You are right, boys do weird things lol! His dad was like that too lol.
@mistyelliott5276 that's hysterical!! Seriously made me laugh out loud, because I can so see navy do that, if he ever finds the band aids 😆 thank you😊❤️

Oh my gosh Christy, I did something similar, and yep, I think it was Luise's video I had watched. 🤔 I had a bunch of scraps so threw them in a paper box. I was making mini journal ornaments for the family and some collage sheets from coffee dyed book pages. I was also using watercolors and acrylics on the mini journals, so I used just a small amount of water to clean my brushes, then poured the "dirty" water over my scraps and shook them up then let them dry. I also splattered some of the acrylic paints I was using on them, for the projects I was working on, and again, let it dry. I was using metallics as well, so got lots of shimmering sparkles on the scraps.🤩 They turned out awesome, they're more Christmassy in colors, which is fine, lol, so now.... where did I put that bag???.... jeepers, it's anyone's guess, lol. 😵💫 Love this project, and so now I need to dig around, cuz hey, you don't already have me working on a dozen projects Christy.... what's one more, lol. 💜😂🤣😂💜

Oh, and too funny about your grandson, I woulda died laughing. 😂🤣😂 My son had a ton of hair when he was born, the nurses said they wished he was a girl as they woulda put pink bows in it, I said if you have blue bows, I'm good with that, lol. I didn't cut his hair till he was a year old, before I cut it, I put a dress on him and pulled his hair up into a ponytail, my ex bitched the whole time, yet he was the first with the camera to take pictures, lol. My son is a very handsome man, in my opinion, lol, but sure woulda made a gorgeous little girl, I'll haveta see if I have the pictures and email them too you. 😊
@carolm9451 oh yes! Please do! Hayden, the 14 year old has really long hair, and it's beautiful. Drove my family crazy, and that tickles me even more. They tell him to get a haircut. I told him, I don't care if you ever cut it again! I'm kind of the black sheep, obviously. I told him, your hair is beautiful, and it doesn't make you who you are. If you are judged by your hair, you don't need them in your life!
I am new to your channel and by only watching a few videos, have learned so much. I have done collage gift tags in the past, but I would love to use this technique for greeting cards. Would this add weight to the card for mailing? I also have 2 sons and 2 grandsons.....I share your pain AND bliss!!! 🤪
Thank you so much for sharing your art with us. I feel so inspired. If I saw the pieces you showed at the beginning of the video in a store, I would purchase them in a heartbeat. They remind me of Tim Holtz products. I do have a question about the scrapbook paper pad cover that you showed at the beginning. How did you achieve the yellowish tint to that piece? Is that the scrap pieces that you sprayed with inks that gave it the yellowish tint or something else? I LOVE the color of that piece and would love to replicate it somehow. 💜
@amyclolinger-obryant2256 I think that's the piece that I decoupage a piece of pattern paper on. Give it a tint, ah and I it was tea dyed too. Thank you so much😊💖
Question: I've used all kinds of stick glues on copy paper, cardstock, etc. and hours later or even the next day I can lift the paper as if I never used a glue. Does anyone know what's going on? I like this idea!
@joycebergthold3170 I've alwayshad the same issue. I do find the uhu, it's not doing that, AS LONG AS I use it plentiful. Like, not just a thin layer. So far, it's been holding good. However, to be safe, maybe use a liquid glue instead.
I love alcohol inks! I'm not sure, I'm thinking because it dries so fast on paper, it probably wouldn't spread very well. Good question. Let me know if you try😊
