Sehr sehr schön gesungen, aber auch wunderbar erzählt! Mit deiner Mimik und deinen Augen bekommt dein Gesang eine schöne Aura. Der Ton ist gut am Volksgesang gebunden, einfach und doch so schwer. Alles Gute!

Ihre Stimme ist so schön anzuhören, die Lieder interpretiert sie stets fein differenzierend, wahrhaft meisterhaft! Die schönste Aufnahme, die ich je gehört habe. Eine Interpretation, die keine Wünsche offenlässt. Das sparsam eingesetzte Vibrato der Sopranistin bei den langen Noten des Mittelteils ist eine Wohltat, der biegsame Ton des Klarinettisten geichfalls - das ganze Stück eingebettet in eine adäquate Klavier-Begleitung... Ganz großes Kompliment! Ich will die großen Kolleginnen von Frau Richter nicht schmähen - aber sie reichen bei diesem Stück nicht an sie heran...

What a lovely performance! The singer is absolutely first rate in every way. Young, and completely at ease in the music, such expression, commitment. The clarinet and pianist were equally wonderful.

Wow! I'm blown away by the musicality and beauty of this interpretation.
This is surely the best "Der Hirt..." I've heard since I fell in love with Elly Ameling's performance (as a child, early 60's). I could see the ibex jumping from cliff to cliff. Now I'm older I better recognize the feelings of loneliness and being astray the music invokes and the comfort, joy and love for life it gives in the finale.
I've played this a number of times .... there are issues of survive-ability emotionally on this roller-coaster of emotions that Schubert aspired to in this, his last song. I'm so grateful to have witnessed this performance ........ all three of you are angels for the many revelations in your interpretation....surely, there is no death in this creation. Your optimism illuminates this truth.
Sehr, sehr schön. Kam durch den Film 'Das Auge' auf dieses Stück. Suche seit dem immer wieder nach Aufnahmen. Die hier gefällt mir echt gut. Sie hat sehr viel frische Dank aller 3 Protagonisten.

Omg this is amazing. The interpretation is really outstanding. This singer has some talent. Maybe not in volume, but gosh, this girl seems really clever. She was able to give meaning to each of the notes. Not just singing and going with the flow of the music, but actually commanding the music. Thats really rare. Bravo
And i really liked when the pianist and the clarinet(-ist?) started the whole piece, immediately created a dead silence in the audience. It had atmosphere. And about the blooper in the beginning (when it jumped) - noone cares! The whole piece was so great, that it doesnt matter. Great great great
You mean she does NOT have the volume problem that most singer of this gerneration have :
to sing too loud and UNABLE most of them to do what this wonderful singer just demonstrated : REAL SINGING!!
I don't think her technique is sufficient for this piece.. it's a really demanding one to pull out right. She's a good performer though

What a charming performance! Beautiful work from all three, but Miss Richter is amazing -- a sweet voice, but she really acts it as well. Her expression at 10:30 is just adorable -- like she's saying "spring is coming -- yes, really, spring is coming and I can't wait!!" It made me laugh for joy. Brilliant!

Great d-moll passage in clarinet's epilogue. I heard a lot of recordings and maybe 25% played it without mistake. This is the best!

Vor 75 Jahren wurde es sehr häufig im Radio gespielt, die Sängerin war Erna Berger. Kinder können klassische Musik sehr gut verstehen und lieben.

Oh, la, la!....He escoltat aquest bellíssim lied moltíssimes vegades. Sens dubte n'és una de les millors versions oïdes en ma vida. Els tres components hi són a un nivell altíssim. La soprano A.L.Richter , uffff! Quina elegància, pregonesa i gràcia té quan calen. L'acompanyament al piano i sobretot el clarinet em semblen formidables. Una excel.lent versió per escoltar moltes altres vegades. Realment he restat impressionat.
This may just be as good of a recording (audio/video and performance) as we will ever get to hear! I love the video effects and the audio quality. The room and close seating do not seem to suppress Ms. Richter's artistic quality at all. It is too bad they still tune piaos to equal temperament. This restricts the singing quality of all three of them while making the piano sound smaller, distant and more percussive. Ms. Richter has an intimate understanding of the trio and exceptional technique to work with. A clear and pure voice, for sure. Mr. Sparovec does a very nice job also but should sometime play the vocal part while Ms. Richter is singing it. This will help correct his pitch and phrasing problems. What can be said about Mr. Rimmer's fine performance other than a big THANK YOU! His seems on the surface to be insignificant but surely is not.

One of the most beautiful lieder of all time. Perfect for a church setting - shame that many of them don't even allow patrons to sing right now because of the lockdown. A clarinet would definitely get you turned away at the door.

Since my intro to this composition about 50 years ago, I've heard it many times live as well as many various recorded versions. I like this best ... only slightly more than Ellie Ameling's which was for decades my preferred version.
Add my 30 years-long listening, and it feels so good that young, wonderfully talented people still give their best to Schubert.
I am a 61 year old conservatory graduate in orchestral clarinet, but never had this gift. I absolutely agree. This performance is exquisite with its own interpretation, not a copy of those before, of which Ms. Valente, and Mssrs. Serkin and Wright was my ideal. When I was a boy, before TH-cam, I sat at the public library for hours comparing different recordings (on vinyl!) of the clarinet literature. The ability to do this at home and watch recorded performances in my retirement is an incomparable gift. Best wishes.

This lied was written for a soprano.
Yet, the character singing is a male shepherd.
I wish I had 'two thumb markers' to give them double approval. Wonderfully done; especially by Ms. Richter and Mr. Rimmer. Her smooth/clear rendition makes this fine work into a masterwork. His laid-back but ever present piano playing sets a backdrop free of all the cumbersome/choppy and nervousness we get so often by other players on this piece. Mr. Šparovec's playing is also good but a little too dry in expression to be the second/matching soprano in this performance. Perhaps he should try sitting and limit is distracting movement. I think he could then concentrate on his intonation and musical partnership with Ms. Richter instead of all the fluctuating of his body. The visual show belongs to all three equally.
