Absolutely marvelous - well focused concentration by all three (...page turner as well). They show an uncanny level of understanding to the text as well as the music. Mr. Shani is a master at keeping the piano subdued yet always present. His delicate and controlled touch adds direction to the motion of the harmony and never shows a hint of the choppy/nervousness we so often hear in this work. Mr. Yehudin's song-like approach makes for a perfect match to Ms. Reiss' lush and unique voice. Just watch your 'throat tones' Yevgeny the piano is tuned to a temperament that is not natural to our ears.
