I own all the Gems, Schicks and Valets then bought the Parker adjustable. I was very impressed by the quality and close shave. This Solo looks like my next buy. I could care less about the package since its irrelevant and keeps the cost down. Thanks for posting this..
Nice review. I find your post shave regimen very intriguing and I am also inspired to stop chasing the dragon too. Need to see what happens when I do that.
Hey, Joe! I can’t take credit for using MSC UnScented; I nicked it from @dappershaves and it works great for me. On some random weekend, give doing a two pass with neck pickup a try. I think you’ll find after an hour post that a BBS is a result…or damn close.
Just got mine today. Bought it yesterday afternoon. Howi owner of super safety razors is based out of the next town over from me. I think it might be more efficient than the leaf twig possibly. It's a different feel. Parker blades aren't my favorite but it felt good in the Solo edge.
For me, the proper shaving angle is quickly found with the Solo Edge vs the Twig. The twig is a touch more blade feel but for me the efficiency and comfort of the Solo Edge wins with a Feather blade.
$ 40 CHEAP Muhle r89 safety razor WITH Muhle r89, R41 or Edwin Jagger HEADs ONLY WITH IKON HANDLE better shave the Ikon handle is heavier, the head will not come loose from the handle, has a better grip, it's more user-friendly to shave with, it's only $20 when i bought my handle through Amazon Your mileage may vary? wheelchair larry

Excellent, honest review. Many thank!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the review Peter!

Thank you for your feedback!
Definitely want to pick one up for headshaves. 💪🏾👊🏿🔥
Hey, Hanzo! My guess is finding the proper angle would be much easier vs. the Twig/Thorn and on par with a 34C.
Great honest review.
Thanks for watching, Ken!
I love mine because it is super heavy makes shaving much easier than light razors and easy to load
It’s a solid performer and a welcome addition to my shave den. I just wish greater care was taken on a few aspects.
Do you find it better than the leaf twig? I've the twig and I love it

Great review Peter, have yourself a great day Eh!

@@tvcstache it’s always a pleasure Peter!
What is going on with the alignment issue while loading a different brand half blade?
I had the top cap oriented 180 degrees but there was no alignment issue with the blade.
@@tvcstache Ok, Thanks
I can never understand the idea of a single edge safety Razor. Surely just stick with a double safety. Razor flip it over and keep shaving
Thanks for watching! I don’t give it much thought but I appreciate your viewpoint.

The mildest, most inefficient razor I have ever used. But for $40 what can you expect?
I respectfully disagree as that was not my use case. Loaded up with a Feather, it was every bit as good as other DE razors I’ve used.
How does this compare to the Rockwell 2C?
I’m not certain; I don’t own a 2C.
Also respectfully disagree. For me personally it’s and amazing product. Guess it wasn’t for everyone 💁🏻♂️
