Maybe, I didn’t see it in the UCF game with all the mistakes and lack of ability to establish any real offense and the defensive secondary and linebacker Corp needing a lot of work.
Let not forget, prior to the UCF game, UC was blown out by Ohio State and then salvaged wins against Miami Ohio and Marshal, which are two schools not going anywhere really this season in football.
Sure they beat #18 UCF, but it is only one win and was not all that impressive given all the mistakes UC had on both sides of the ball.
However, a win is a win and UC won the game.
@@corey3077 UC beat the breaks off of Marshall. Did you watch the game? And Miami is a rivalry game. I do think that UCF wins at home or maybe even on a neutral field. But UC is going to be really good for the next 2-3 years. Roster has depth they haven't had since BK left.

I know we've all given UCF a hard time in the last few years, but it's a real testament to the program they've built that when you beat them it's worth rushing the field. Cudos to their development of a tradition of excellence! Role Tide!

@The RightStuff Not necessarily. They did go undefeated in 2017, and the NCAA officially recognized them as Co-National Champions with Alabama, right before the 2018 season. The only "delusion" would be in the head of critics and haters.
@The RightStuff You claiming the NCAA doesn't recognize any team as National Champions is the most ludacris thing anyone has ever typed. Sure, they rely on the AP Poll, it's not only the poll. It's not all black & white like any other collegiate or professional sport. There's flaws, complications, and confusion when it comes down to the history of this beautiful, 150 year old sport.

This was an entertaining game to watch, Bearcats earned it. As a Boise State fan UCF is on the road we have been travelling for quite awhile. Eventually you stop talking about the national championship and understand the best thing you can do as a G5 program is win your conference championship each year. When you get that NY6 bowl berth win it. One day maybe you get picked up by a P5 conference and then you can be like TCU or Utah. Until then just stay good.

@@gimmedattutorial Part of my point about TCU and Utah moving up to a P5 conference is it is harder than it looks. Florida is a little different than Idaho but sometimes it is okay to be a big fish in a medium sized pond. At Boise we have made a pretty good living picking up good recruits who have been snubbed by big programs, who do not have quite as big of an ego and like the idea of winning a lot of games. It is important not to forget who you are as a program, to know who you are and remember what got you to where you are.

@@XconnorX11 Not anymore, they aren't. 2017 was a special year for them, maybe they get back to that level in the future, but it's not this year. Also, maybe the American has just caught up with them. Personally, I think it's better UCF goes back into the fold in the AAC, makes that conference less predictable.

Fourth quarter was disastrous for UCF.
The fact that nobody has brought up McKenzie Milton is disgraceful. He built UCF on his back until his career ending injury. He beat Tua in their highschool championship game as quarterback. He accomplished SO much without 5* receivers like Tua has. Tua is amazing but McKenzie didnt have that support and look at what he did. Only reason they lost last year to LSU in the bowl game was because McKenzie was out. He WAS UCF. Such a phenomenal and special player. So sad. This is coming from a Memphis fan after they beat us last year by 1 point. So much respect to that QB. Program will far apart in his absence. Gabriel is also from Mililani Hawaii like McKenzie but he just isnt McKenzie. Rest in peace UCF and thank you so much for what you did for the AAC. Losing this game was terrible for our conference as a whole but congratulations to Cinci, well earned and a team to be reckoned with. Goood luck against us this season. Go Tigers Go!
The fact that their whole program rides on one kid shows the weakness of your program. All this time and we still just talking about Milton? I watched the kid...all scheme. Rene' DeBlanc I will be the first to tell you that having a program ride on one kids back shows weakness - that was the entire point of my post. He was special and deserves recognition. We saw how this entire program fell apart after he couldn’t play anymore. But now as a conference we have Memphis, SMU, Cinci, and Temple. It just sucks losing a top 25 team.

If they get past Hawaii in two weeks and then get past Hawaii again for the MW Championship game, they will hopefully at least be in a New Years' 6 Bowl. MW conference 4th best conference this year according to ESPN. But what does ESPN know.

@@ucj7369 I'm not saying they are not good! I'm a big JJ fan, so I was watching them for a few years. Bummer that he wasn't able to really do much there. Any 10-2 G5 team, including Boise, will never see the light of day in the current playoff system (even if those two losses were to Bama and Clemson and close). ESPN has SMUs SOS kind of low, which sucks for SMU because it's not their fault their conference has so many weak links. BSU isn't as high in SOS as it has been in past seasons either.

@@daddythreelegs4113 I respect that 2017 team a lot, the 2018 team was scarred by the Milton injury, but 2019, the coaching has been less-then-stellar. Huepel wants to gratify having Dillon Gabriel by starting him, but he just isn't ready yet. Start Mack or Wimbush, who are more experienced. Until then, they will probably keep sputtering in the bigger games in their conference schedule.
As a BSU fan I would say thank you, but honestly the committee will probably pick Cincinnati over bsu for a bowl game if they don't lose anymore

So at what point do you bring in Mack.Establish the run first,bring Mack or Jones in to mix it up.. The Frosh fenom is turning into a TO machine. Until you realize that teams are getting better prepared to play us the need to mix it up to continue to keep opponents off balance is paramount. If the Coaching staff doesnt Preempt this problem they are the problem. The AAC teams are getting better and our Offensive game plans worse.Outcoached again
