- Cincinnati and Memphis played in week 14 of the 2019 college football season. Cincinnati already clinched a spot in the AAC championship game, but a Memphis win would mean that Cincinnati would be the road team for that game, which would be against Memphis.

Zayne simard moore I mean Memphis seemed pretty fairly matched with UCF when they were good. It should be a better outcome for Memphis next season, even though they’re 1-13 against them. But Memphis has been on the come up for a few seasons now

Nick Gwyn put Memphis in Vandy’s place and see how long it takes recruits to come in. Memphis’s basketball and football teams are better, gymnastics, soccer, basically everything besides baseball, and I think after about a decade Memphis could have a real team

They deserve to be playing in one of them top bowl games... sugar bowl, cotton bowl, chick-fil-A, orange bowl, Fiesta Bowl... one of them.

Nothing would be better than a Memphis/Alabama matchup in a NY6 Bowl if Bama happens to flunk out of the playoffs. Would love to see Memphis do to BAMA what UCF did to Auburn 2 years ago. Also a Memphis/Georgia matchup wouldn't be bad either. Memphis deserves something good if they win the AAC.

Tigers still must beat Cincy again. Do-able; but, tough to beat good teams twice. If Memphis are AAC Champions, they'd want to play a Penn State, a Georgia, a Baylor, or even an Ohio State (depending how their season finishes). Maybe even an Alabama. Even if they lose to any of those teams, the recruiting benefits would be huge. But, if they should win...oh, my!

Because of the conference they are in, they are filled 2 and 3 star players. And still with that talent, they still give the big conference boys hell. Think before you type.

@Jon Davis-I’m not sure if you’re joking around implying that Memphis would have no chance at a NY6 bowl, but if you aren’t, the NY6 Bowls are the biggest bowl games in college football. It features the Rose/Sugar/Orange/Cotton/Peach/Fiesta Bowl.
Definitely. They have to win the AAC Championship game. It's against Cincinnati again, that's crazy.
They win next week, they will be GUARANTEED to go to the Cotton Bowl as the highest rated team in the Group of 5. The only other real contenders are Boise State and Appalachian State...but both teams play an absolute nobody in their conference title games where as Memphis plays, yet, another highly ranked team...this same Cincinnati team!

The AAC is fun to watch because the teams are so evenly matched. The final score belies how close the game really was. Congrats to Memphis, but Cincinnati is going to be even tougher to beat next week.
