  • The. mystery is why so many Cybertrucks are not shipping out promptly but, stacking up on the west side. All Cybertrucks on the east side. South end construction continues with the framing around the tanks. Prufrock doesn't seems to be drilling at the moment.

    Thanks Brad
0:45. Robotic Avenue extension. Asphalt paving underway.
1:42. Parking Garage. Linemarking machine being driven across the top floor.
2:06. Southend. Easement Project. East footings complete, concrete placed for about half the columns. West footings, mud base and about half the footing shutters/forms placed.
2:13. Southend. Left. Stack of red boxes. More formwork perhaps.
2:28. Southend, south. Lots to see here. Parapet wall framing being constructed. If you sneak up to 2:28 exactly you can see how the parapet frame is set back from the face of the glass wall below. Set back by the thickness of a glazed parapet facade.
Bottom centre on Level 2 beside the yellow cooling fans is a sample unit of glass the right size for the parapet facade.
Level 1. Inside. Retaining wall footing parallel to the external retaining walls.
Top centre. Stamping 2 extension. Retaining wall formwork/shuttering being assembled.
3:01. Southend, west diagonal corner. Cables run between the top of the column and the back of the orange tele-handler. Tweaking the columns for plumb. Bracing cables loosened to the right.
Inside. Level 2 trapezoid shaped floor opening. I assumed 45deg for the angled sides. Runs out when compared to the west retaining wall. Might be closer to 60deg. Becomes very obvious at 3:10.
4:12. Southend, inside. Tunnel alignment is roughly the small piles of earth to the left of the new slab.
New slab that is likely fibre reinforced concrete like much of the Level 1/ground floor of the main building, probably unrelated to the tunnel.
Trailer load of steel, and the column footings exposed and cleaned off. Might see steel erection here soon.
4:26. Southend, inside. Bottom. Retaining wall under construction.
8:53. New EOL. New parking lot has become a ‘temporary’ temporary holding yard.
10:07. Far north. Landscaping contractor’s yard. Line of palms(?).
12:28. Westside, north. Constructing the curbs/kerbs.
14:24. Casting east, apron. U shaped rebar seen delivered in Joe’s video yesterday has gone. Inside presumably where construction works must be ongoing still.
15:20. Cathode, tank farm. Vaporizers. Been an oops on the corner of the closest vaporizer.
16:33. Far north. Top right, against the tree line. Excavator on the spoil mound.
17:07. Far north. Storage. Construction materials stacked here also. Concrete vaults, screw-piles, beams.
17:26. Even further north. Large pieces of production equipment. Not unlike the Icominc machines awaiting their fate in the recycling yard.
Top. Silt fence parallel to the road. There’s a sanitary sewer force main to be constructed along here. Could be those works.

Major new electrical project. New power supply to the factory....
@ 11:44 (Top) You can just see 2 new duct-banks sticking out. Brad.... Any chance you can fly over this between Tesla road, through the old substation, and to the mega-vault, south of the LCRA substation? Two new duct-banks are being built from the mega-vault south to Tesla road. They also contain more conduit than the main power duct-banks! 12 conduits per duct-bank vs 8 conduits in the existing main power duct-banks. Also running parallel to the main power duct-banks part of the way.
Speculating that these duct-banks will go all the way to the northside of casting in the main building. More than doubling power available to the building.
Speculating the expected destination for the new duct-banks.... @ 14:10 (Right, 2 vaults by the building) These vaults were placed a long time but and never used.

    River road extension:

    Robotic Ave:
@ 0:44 Paving work has begun.
    South end:
    Easement:
@ 2:06 (Bottom left) Poured in place concrete columns on top of the new footings. The tops of the screw piles can be seen in the row behind.
@ 3:23 (Bottom) Conduit in trench.
    EOL facility:
@ 7:39 and 7:58A lot of vehicles piling up. Are they having difficulty processing them through the facility? Or trouble selling them? Seems like everything moved much faster before this facility opened.
@ 8:39 Paving finished in the new lot.
Eastside of casting @ 14:33 (Open vault by the building) and 14:38 (Bottom left) Ongoing but somewhat slow work to pull cables through the new duct-bank for the east parking lot Superchargers. This project when completed, will reconnect the Superchargers to power from the building.

      @DavidJohnson-tv2nn 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

@@MattZaycYT Dessie is speculating that this will be a bridge crane for unloading steel rolls or coils off trucks. For now, I agree with that assessment, since there is really no other use for such a structure. Though they will still need a transporter vehicle to take the steel coils into stamping, it could be a smaller more maneuverable vehicle.

1:15 There are a few model Ys being covered up, quicksilver? Juniper?
And damn, there are so many cybertrucks, why aren't they being loaded on semis
PS: nevermind, those aren't quicksilver model Ys since Tesla is not covering them up at 9:45

1:15. There's always a row of vehicles there. Initially covered up, but over the next few weeks you'll see parts removed, and the more parts that are removed the less likely the covers get put back on properly. I guess eventually they end up being recycled.

Does one cart hold 6 pieces of concrete= one complete ring of tunnel section? 2m length? How many metres is tunnel expected to be? How many tunnel sections placed so far? Something like 200 sets of 3 pieces waiting to be picked up?

    • @DessieDoolan
      @DessieDoolan 23 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

6 segments to a complete ring. Ring is 1.5m. It's near enough to 300m to the extension perimeter wall.
David Salisbury (a tunnel engineer who comments often) said in a comment under Joe's video yesterday that they were about 40 to 50m in.

@@GrantHodgsonWnNZ Something like that, depending on the unknown tunnel length . Plus a week or so stoppage to add the back-up decks (the 7 black tarp/plastic covered items on the north side of the TBM entry location seen at 6:44).
David Salisbury suggests that stoppage may happen this week if the tunnel is far enough advanced.

I actually don’t know the first thing about tunnelling, completely relying on David’s expert comments.
A casual search shows he has quite the CV!

    • @DessieDoolan

@@GrantHodgsonWnNZ Back-up decks contain all the ancillary gear need to operate the TBM.
Cut and paste below from David Salisbury's comments under Brad's Feb 10 video. The comment was in relation to the point we're at now, where the TBM has disappeared into the tunnel, and is connected to the back-up decks with hoses and cables. David lists the various decks. 7 decks in fact, which is how many are on site now. Only 4 on site when he made that comment.
"My guess is that they need at least 2 decks in to start with, more likely 3 (Control, Hydraulic, electric). They don't really have room for any more. The utility, vent, grout and conveyor boot end decks are not really required until they are in the ground. It may be a bit of a slow start."

Great flight Brad. There are 2 million people waiting for CT. Any idea why Tesla is not moving them off-site with much more urgency? If I were to see your video with all these CT and no movement on the delivery lot, I would be angry. I still also believe it si a massive mistake not to have a rail hear onsite to load production vehicles directly. Big mistake

Seems like the cybertruck has issues and cannot be shipped out until resolved, so much paving being done the last day or so. I wonder if the dirt issues with cybertrucks is now being seen as an issue that needs resolved fast, washing them down is a temp solution as hundreds of cars a day is going to overwhelm the wash stations. Surely they could install a simple drive through wash like they had on the east side.
