A big welcome from the Nightwish army UK division. Yes, totally agree with a previous comment, you really need to see something from the Waken (pronounced Vahken) concert 2013. You will see them in their natural environment, ie a huge outdoor concert. You will appreciate the spectacle and be able to concentrate on the music without distraction. How about their show opener? A Dark Chest Of Wonders. A total banger. Looking forward to sharing your Nightwish journey with you.

Worth remembering is that this song was an old NW song, originally written for the first singer. Floor is the third singer (but technically just a fill=in singer after singer number two was fired). Floor was hired to finish the tour. After that, the band decided to hire her permanently. NW does quite a variety of songs. Floor has done "Phantom of the Opera" with Henk Poort - an actual singer of the musical on stage in the Netherlands - He played the Phantom. First NW singer Tarja Turunen also sang it. Floor sang with Henk on the Dutch TV show "Beste Zangers". If you aren't quite into heavier Symphonic Metal, you might want to check out "Storytime" and "Everdream" at Wacken 2013. Maybe "Song of Myself". Songs picked up a bit in 2015 as new songs for Floor were written (up to 2013 Floor was filling in and singing other people's songs - both Tarja's and Anette's). More creative songs would be written including "Shoemaker" that show off her more classical side. The latest album (no tour videos yet because the band stopped to give Floor a chance to rest before giving birth to her second daughter and for her to have "mommy time").
You will find that there are multiple performances for many of the Nightwish songs on TH-cam. There are non-documentary styles of this song available. Best to ask commentors to provide links to requested songs. Live performances are the best. My interpretation of this song is man's inhumanity to man. 😄🤘

"Ride of the Valkyries" (the in the second opera "Die Walküre" - the opera was part of four operas in a ring that Richard Wagner originally required ALL to be performed by him alone). The ring was called "Der Ring Des Nibelungen" ("The ring of Nibelungen") - if memory serves, the four operas were five hours long (together, not each). "Ride of the Valkyries" became so popular that Wagner eventually allowed it to be performed separately, but only by him if memory serves.
