    mount some rear facing lights on the back of the cab, huge help if loading or unloading in the dark!

    I'm 70, I know what's it's like to wake up sore in the morning. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it'll only get worse. However, waking up sore is much better than not waking up at all. Anyway, another enjoyable video. Thanks for taking the time to post. Always looking forward to your videos.

    Well done Matt.
    When I spoke about spare, I was meaning that you’ll need to crawl under tray to get it once you drop it down. Please check before making life difficult mate.
    Greetings from Australia!

    I think you can order a new (replacement) yellow plate to freshen it up and it'll make the finished product look that much better! Looks great

    I've plans to build a tandem axle trailer to haul beetles and this really helps me.

    • @johnp8409
      @johnp8409 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good luck with that one, all trailers have to be EU type approved now.

    • @hankthebugman

      ..being all trailers in the EU....I am located in Canada, regs are more lenient......

    understood you recently blew up its engine , maibe you can use he back part of the frame put a heavy traileraxle(s) under it and add a towhitch , might be able to pull it behind the mercedes van
    probably be eazier to swap in a better engine though

    how do you get on with your mig as your welds are cool I have a rtech 250 mig and I just cant get the welds good always different are digital machines any better thinking of getting a esab 235ic what is your mig that you are using on this transporter project,cheers

    • @Urchfab
      @Urchfab  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, are you using it on the sinergic modes? better to play around with manual setting I'd say. Im using an inverter fusion welder made by Helvi.

  • @dimmaz88
    @dimmaz88 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Which mig/tig welders would you recommend? I don't know why but they all seem to look a bit cheap in the UK, we don't seem to have the same options as the States.

    • @Urchfab
      @Urchfab  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ive got some helvi welders at the moment. nicely built kit.

      Urchfab no worries mate... after watching welding videos I’d love to give it a go! I might just have to buy a MIG for the unit 😁😁

  • @michealcarney

    I don't think it will pass test the way it's mounted to chassis

    • @Urchfab
      @Urchfab  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Its mounted the same way as the factory body was.

    • @michealcarney
      @michealcarney 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Urchfab what type of factory body had it? Most have a chassis that rests on the transit chassis

    • @tonybennett8811
      @tonybennett8811 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Looks good to me, the static load may be taken buy the chassis but the dynamic loads are taken by the bolts and ford have all Ready worked this one out for you , just check the light regs as changing the body you will need to comply to the latest regs light heights, side markers ,reflectors ect

    • @michealcarney
      @michealcarney 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tony Bennett I'm sure Ford have worked the loads out, although for the load spread out and not concentrated in 5 places on each chassis. My mates Transit was built similar and it couldn't be engineered. My one passed.

    leave the wheel you dont want the weight behind the axle
