One thing I would like to shout out to meebook is they did keep very frequent updates on new features even for old models. They used to have only normal and A2 mode as mentioned, but after the launch of M7, they bring "fast speed" mode updates back to M6 and even P78. Also, M7 is equipped with G-sensor while M6 released eariler this year didn't. So they also update the 90° turns options instead of only 180° in the past.
Quite a complete review. I have two questions: is it waterproof? Once the Kindle app is compatible only with newer Android versions, may I continue using the one on the Meeook? Thanks
What happened to that eazeye monitor you posted an unboxing video of, but is now missing?
Two gripes about Meebook I will say are:
1) For some asinine reason, you cannot flip the main display 90 degrees. Only 180 degrees. So you cannot put apps in landscape mode, unless the app itself has some way to force it. This baffles me especially because the native reader app does have a landscape function, so I cannot imagine why they can't extend this to a general system method.
2) Not that much of a gripe for me personally, since I use the glowlight minimally, but since you brought up presets for the glow light, it would be nice if instead of built in presets, you could actually set your own presets. Like if they gave you two or three options, and you adjusted the levels and saved them for later, that would be nice. It's annoying that you only have one custom, and if you accidentally change the light levels by the screen touch misreading your swipe motion, you can't just tap a button to return it back to how you had it.
You can actually do flip 90° on newer meebook devices. Since M7 has built-in G sensor it can do auto turning, and meebook took this opportunity to also update the earlier released M6 to have manual turn 90° function. My guess is they may either push this manual adjust function to P78 also (as they are still updating P78 to have fast speed refresh) or they will just release a new 7.8 device someday with G sensor.
@@chromelok Aw, for real? Well, that's good to know, but I got the P10, and it still only gives me 180. Well, maybe they'll do another update soon!
I'm so indecisive now😢 i want another e-book reader with buttons, but the oasis is outdated for me...
It looks excellent 😊, I’m looking forward to buying the M7, but I want to know if they have Bluetooth to connect with devices and transfer PDF files from phone to e-reader Because I know about Kindle they don’t have that option
They have Wifi transfer but I never bother with it as I use cable all of the time. It has bluetooth but I think it is more for wireless audio
Большое спасибо за обзор. Вы делаете нужный контент.
What's better for the price this or the Onyx Page?
I like my Meebook! It's a shame if they've been struggling to catch up. I kind of appreciate that they just have one basic line, and not a bunch of different variants like Boox or Bigme. You want a Meebook? Just pick the size you want and off you go!
I have a likebook it's the same company right?
@@jonathansl109Yes, basically. As I understand it, the company who made Likebook shut down for a little bit, restructured, and then came back with a rebrand.
@@jonathansl109 It is a new brand created by the LikeBook R&D team, which continues the advantages of Like and develops many new features

Can U compare it with Onyx Page?
I don’t get the dislike of glow light presets. I might use them. There must be a reason they picked those values. And you could always pick one and then adjust from there.
Thank you
What is the stylus support like?
Hi, could you help me, pleaseee. I just bought the meebook M7 and couldn't highlight the text on kindle app 😢😢 do you guys know how to fix this?
When i can buy 13 inch color ereader?
The first thing I'd like to mention is the observed touch responsibility. The P78 is great but this one 'feature' can make a whole world of difference in daily use.
Thanks for the review!
Waiting for my Meebook M7 .. I was lucky to get it at discounted price 140$.. Definitely it's more budget friendly than boox
I like the idea to link it to Google drive to avoid sideloading content over wired connection every time.
Where did you buy it from?
google drive and google keep keeps force-closing on my meebook m7, anyone has the same problem?
Can you install apks?
i just got it, but why i dont have manga section in google play books :( so sad
If you are comfortable then you should use Tachiyomi to read and manage your manga. Currently I have around 30gb of manga on my SD card loaded onto the device and the manga is downloaded through Tachiyomi on my M7.
How about this vs poke 5
Would you call the screen quality (the way the text looks when reading) crisp/clear?
Would you be willing to compare this to Kobo Libra 2? Difference between screen size and quality are what I’m curious about.
The text looks very nice. I have it for mostly reading manga. Some serializations where they frequently do double page (like Steel Ball Run) is very annoying to read despite the clarity. Text is small but is clear. But normal ebook I guess should be just fine because I have the settings to use the smallest font and it is okay (still bigger than manga text).
@@just__khang I set my ebooks to the smallest font as well. Most reviews don’t show how the text looks with those settings. Thank you for the reply. I’m very likely going to buy it now!
Can anyone please tell me about the battery life? How much reading can I do in one charge?
12 days
I read mostly manga for 90min before bed and 90min after waking up. For my first full charge, after 4 days of that, 60% is gone. It cannot fast charge so it takes 1h+ to full charge.
Does this ereader have a read out loud feature?
It has a speaker. The included ereader app has TTS but I think other apps would have better selection
@@just__khang Thanks!
In other words yes.... The same way that any full fledge Android device would. Access to 3rd party apps. The downside to that is you don't get that epic e-reader only battery life.
