Actually, you can add custom logos. There is a little trick for that. When you connect your reader to a pc, it has a hidden folder on it called "system". It doesn't appear even if the hidden files are turned on, you need to manually type in the address bar. For example if your device has a D: drive letter, type "D:\system" (it depends on your computer which letter is free, you probably have a different one) Or use total commander, in this program the folder is visible. In this system folder you can do many things. Add logos to the logos folder. Off logo or boot logo. The picture has to be in .bmp format, and the size has to be the same as your device screen resolution. You can add your own fonts as well in the "\system\fonts" folder in .otf format!
No Sd card expansion on the device that allows audiobooks is weird to me. Basic verse it is I wonder if there is a way to force load the pro’s version of Linux on to the basic verse.
I have books purchased from Kobo, Barnes and Noble, and Amazon. The only way to have one eReader that support all these bookstores are one built on Android OS with Google Play. While I like Pocketbook eReader, I wish one day they would add support for all the other bookstores .
@@arturgajewskiphotog why does she need a Calibre app when PocketBook eats all possible formats? She just likes to buy books, instead of searching them for free in Internet
Only purchased verse pro pocketbook last week, having alot of problems downloading books as all of the books are in German can't seem to get them in English, and yes language settings are correct they are set on English
I have a question. I bought this Pocketbook but it feels like the light isnt regular on the screen. On the top is lighter than on the bottom half of the screen. Is it faulty? 🤔 On the video it seems to be more regular light.
If you want pocket book , I would to recommend you pocketbook touch hd 3 ( 632 ) . It's really good e-reader, but a little bit cheaper than the pocketbook 634 verse pro and pocketbook 632 much better than 629 verse
I'm going with the basic Verse, the removal of SD card is a turn off for me. As I plan on also reading manga, storage is something I take into account. I'd use my phone or PC for audiobooks, so no need for their support either
I bought a Kobo Libra 2 but I totally regret it...I bought it for audiobooks which doesnt see them if they aren't downloaded from store.. I tried to sideload but it doesnt work.. I want an e reader not closed like Kobo or Kindle and where i can read everything and listen to every audiobook I put there... And battery's life is like 3-4 days if I read for some hours (wifi turned off and at min light) Does Pocketbook have all these things withouth driving crazy to make it work?
Hi guys. I recently bought one. I recently noticed that the display has a slightly uneven brightness. The top half is noticeably lighter and the text at the bottom seems less sharp to me even though I've set refresh on each page. It is normal? Does anyone else have a similar experience?
I partially agree. From a review of an e-reader I'd expect actual technical comparison with previous gen and competitors, e.g. text clarity, contrast, battery, and interface speed to name a few.
@@goodereader Then could you please open 2 kinds of PDF on these? (full text and 2 columns? because beeing good at that would be quite an important thing and a lot of e-readers dont get that right in my opinion) best regards

Why don’t you use Calibre that converts books?

In the photo library if you view a photo one of the options allows you to set it as your power-off logo
Great and easy tip, thank you!
Does it actually work? My pocketbook basic 3 has the same option but it juat doesnt work.

Had a chance to hold a cheapper one in my hands in a shop, and I had strange and mixed feelings about the screen.

Mine has it to. I might send it back as it is a bit annoying. Were you able to remedy it?
And what is the better version of the 634 or the 629 version? Which one is best to buy? Or better Meebook m7-?
would you recommend this over Clara 2E?
That is what I’m here for.

do you have anithing like con Word Wise from kindle, or something help you to read books in other lenguages?
Hello, thank you. Can you read manga & comics properly and with good screen refresh rate?
if you want to read comics you should go for a bigger screen I guess!

there is an inner shadow dropped by the frame.
Can it translate whole sentences? Or there's only vocabulary and that's it?
Does it allow custom fonts? And can you sideload audiobooks?
Don't remember about custom fonts, but you can sideload any type of books, audio included
Yes.

@alicedalexandrite hi, which one of these devices allows for that ... the regular verse , the pro or both? Thank you.
Do you think they are going to come up with a carta 1200 or even carta 1300 version? I'd buy that in a sec
Unfortunately it doesn't have Carta 1200 like you've said in this video. It is just HD Carta.
Is it that big of a difference though?
Wow it seems really slow
