What ryan poles did with what ryan pace left him is incredible. Especially with that trade last yr, he turned last yrs first into sooo much. I've been a bears fan my whole life and I can't believe we are in this position. Now all we have to do is win. 🐻⬇️😤
Because Ryan poles came from KC. He actually knows what it takes to win, good luck to the bears going forward
Bear down
@@tylerprince3496so true before the Bears would higher former football scouts like Phil Emery that had no experience as GM, I believe Poles is the first GM that was a former football player🤷 Ryan Pace at the time he was hired he was the youngest GM ever or at the time.
Every year: "Philly had an amazing draft!"
Every year: *Philly relies on old players and mid season trades*
As a Bears fan, I can't remember ever having an offense this explosive. Closest was the Brandon Marshall/Alshon Jeffrey days and even then, that team still wasn't as stacked as our current squad. 🐻 down!
Yeah bro if I'm a Bears fan, I'm hype as heck! As a Titans fan I know the Bears about to see QB play they've never seen in a Bears uniform.
STACKED has any of dese nggas done anything in di nfl?
As a Lions fan, all I have to say is bring it on.
@@DanMaluchLions aren’t even a competition. Even Justin fields would bust them 😂
As a Vikings fan I recognize how crazy that bears offense is. It's my belief that Chicago has the best offense in the division.
The issue with Atlanta is not drafting Penix. The issue was giving someone 100 million guaranteed for 1 playoff win in his career. Hes had Justin Jefferson, Stefon Diggs, Adam Theilan and prime Dalvin Cook in his career and only could muster up one playoff win. And your trying to tell me hes gonna elevate a roster of younger players when hes older coming off of an achilles tear. It was a bad decision signing him for that money
I’m pretty sure they paid him for 4000 plus yards 30 plus TDs and a possible trip to the playoffs. And as bad as the QB play has been especially last year they were willing to do whatever but. Drafting Penix let’s you know they aren’t expecting to win it all with Kirk just get them to the playoffs and anything can happen from there
I don’t follow Kurt cousins but was all them playoff losses on him directly or the team? look at Dan Marino career he arguably one of the top 3 QBs ever and never won a SB but he never had the team around him 🤷
Giving 100 million to a dude that torn his Achilles is wild. Penix went to great team. This reminds me of Seahawks when they got Wilson but I know Wilson was 3rd rounder
I don’t understand in an era when who your quarterback is matters more than ever before you wouldn’t prioritize the position by signing a quality free agent and drafting a solid prospect. Cousins himself was taken the SAME DRAFT as RG3, as insurance (and what turned out to be a smart move) Love was drafted with Rodgers as a starter. Mahomes was drafted I believe the year after Alex Smith went 13-3.
All completely different situations. Kirk has never played a snap for the team. 4 games in if Kirk plays bad the fans are going to turn on him
Orlovsky loves giving the Bills credit whenever he can get the chance 😂
He's not wrong what he said.
5:31 dan killing y'all right now
@@s98247 he's not completely wrong but Coleman isn't getting open in the NFL. Dude barely got separation in college
@@1closer I was talking about him saying Keon Coleman was his favorite pick
@@Odawg2006 true
orlovsky with another generational switch up, he just said Friday that jj McCarthy’s situation is better
Technically, the question from Greeny was best situation of a any #1 pick QB ever, even though the banner was about current draft QBs.
He said he would not be surprised if JJ has the best qb rookie season
ITS SIMPLE - the cousins singing wasnt a good signing, its really that simple lol
Why wasn’t it? Kirk is gonna get you 4,000 yards 30 TDs get you to the playoffs keep the coach and GM from getting fired while they breed for the future duhh
And then Kirk gets injured week 4 and Penix comes in and goes brrrrr
@@kavid8120 precisely..
also Penix wears a durag, he just resonates with the culture of ATL lol
You can try to explain it until you’re blue in the face. Giving Cousins $100 million dollars AND drafting a quarterback top 10 was dumb
It is called drafting an asset to trade or develop happens every year... You don't understand sports much huh?
How many grilled cheese sandwiches are in your pockets?
No one even said that the falcons are a pass rusher away but it was definitely a need to get one they waited until the 3rd round to address it.
@@tipsysmichigander6483trying to justify both of those choices is also dumb
I've said it countless times since the draft that Penix is nothing more than an insurance policy for now. In case Cousins is either not worth the money he signed for, is not ready to go for week 1, or he gets hurt down the road.
@@tipsysmichigander6483the falcons gm called him their “qb for the future”
Their entire argument on the Bills-Chiefs trade was that the Bills gained more picks while trading back, but they didn’t gain more picks? They swapped picks and moved up a little in the draft, but they didn’t actually ADD more picks 😂
Im happy the falcons said F you to the fans and media and did what's best for their franchise. Penix is the man
Lmaoo a big F-You. I wanted Rome Odunze but I definitely see where they were going
@@1000youngstunnathat has more of a chance to be a bust than Penix Jr.
@@Blacattacsquadron Are you blind? Rome is literally the prototype receiver
Dan O has consistently been putting out worse and worse takes as time goes on
He's only there because he's FAMOUS for taking the worst Safety in NFL history. The 4-letter network doesn't care why people have heard of you. Proved that with Keyshawn long ago.
His QB evaluations would make you believe all 32 starters and 32 backups are all about to get into the HoF
I watched this clip to see just how terribly he would defend the falcons. If you want real football content just follow Michael Lombardi, he has been killing Orlovsky openly for 2 years now.
@@Mgranadosvthat is a actually very true. All he does is take up these QBs. You would think their are multiple players like Mahomes.
@@scruffd0g193 reminds me of Gruden who every player in every position was the best. For Orlovsky every throw is a great throw that few QBs can mak, even as they all make it.
Love how they didn’t even have Penix over JJ and because he was picked now they trying to act like he is the second QB in draft.
Jj was 8/13 3 interceptions vs a 6-6 fcs team who lost to an hbcu.
Half as many completions as interceptions. If penix had one of those horrible performances against that horrid of a team, he would been taken in the 6th round. The only reason jj is relevant as a 1st rounder is because he got carried to a national championship and his head coach vouched for it. It had nothing to do with every team thinking he was some next level quarterback.
Many experts said penix was the best passer in the draft and most accurate. Apparently he was rated much higher in nfl front offices than the general public thought.
A lot of people already considered Penix as the best pure passer in the draft. His injury history scared off a lot teams but someone had to take that risk
Did everyone forget Kirk tore his Achilles?! We don’t know how he’ll play
He's a pocket passer, he'll be just fine.
Thats fine but if that's the case why are you giving him 100 million...
Falcons playing Franchise mode on All-Madden 😵💫
Seeing these guys talk about my bears like this, that means it all ready changed.
Don't let them fool you. Caleb will be a bust....
Giants added two solid starting offensive linemen in free agency. Do your research Greenie
And 2 depth guys 4 total
People overreacting to the Penix pick like he's going to start week 1. Dude is most likely going to "Jordan Love" his rookie contract. Kirk has nothing to worry about unless either he's not ready to go week 1 or he shows that he's not worth the money he signed for.
Dude is already 24. If he Jordan Loves his first contract he is what 27 when he gets on the field? If the guy was 20 at the moment I would think it is a fine strategy.
That's the point.
They are wasting a rookie contract of penix to sit on the bench when they could have gotten a impact player day one to compete. Baffling decision by the falcons
@@IMakeHistory2 I take it that you either didn't read that last part I wrote or couldn't. Which is it? Now, was it baffling why Green Bay did it twice? once to Brett Favre and once to Aaron Rodgers?
@@whooker93 Then you better hope that Cousins shows that he isn't worth the money he signed for. I thought I mentioned that in the last part of my statement you failed to read.
I wish Mark Brunell had a veteran QB to talk to early in his Jags career. Don't think he learned a whole lot from Rob Johnson after Buerlein got jealous of Mark and quit on the team.
🐻🐨 Bears ALL the way 👣 🏈🏈
Hey Dan are they a rookie qb away from winning a chip? You want someone who can contribute at 8th overall this year.
What? That’s laughable Are they a edge rusher away from a superbowl? No!! Is an edge rusher what kept them out the playoffs this past season? Or even the season before that? No! What was it? QB play. They now have a QB for now and the Future. Smh dumb logic
I don’t hate them for taking penix. But at 8 with Kirk freshly signed, it’s not consistent
Dan was speaking valid points the entire video and knew what he was saying. The other two guys have an easy argument to argue against and still looked dumb trying to present it. Not saying Dan is 100% the right take but he at least had claims to back up his points. The 1st guy who spoke had a little bit of sense but the googly eyes sounded lost and had no actual good points.
How was Dan's points valid? Lmao, Michael penix is 24 years old. Let me remind you again with the BIGGEST CHEAT CODE IN NFL HISTORY. ITS THE ROOKOE CONTRACT OF A QB.
Imagine instead of giving that $100 million to Cousins, they should've just signed 2 of these defensive studs woth Danielle Hunter, Patrick Queen, Christian Wilkins or even LeJarius sneed.
@@renzredona4543 jj McCarthy is 21 years old and ray charles could tell you Michael penix was and is a better quarterback. Age is relative to what you’re talking about. We’re talking about a career where quarterbacks can play until they are 35 years old. I don’t buy the whole age BS I do believe in the the more talented player tho. Dan was making valid points given what he was defending. Again if you could read correctly I never said drafting penix was the right decision. You didn’t comprehend what I was referring to I wasn’t referring to dans take on it being the right selection it was all about his points being presented better and had claims for his reasoning. All I said was his claims defending his points were more valid compared to the other guy who made two irrational projections that made zero sense and were not even worthy of talking about. Did you see Dan raise his eye brow and make a funny face as soon as the 3rd guy made his 1st point? It’s because he sounded lost and his point had nothing to do with anything important.
@@renzredona4543the guy in the purple suit literally said which one will request a trade first? That’s the dumbest and most irrational take I’ve heard in a while. The guy who just got paid 100 million dollars coming off an injury is going to request a trade? Penix was paid multi more million dollars to not fall out of the top 10. And he’s going to request a trade from a team with great weapons and o line? DOUBT it. Like I said these are the dumb points in comparison to the points Dan had and the claims he had to support them. Never said the falcons are in the right but dan has better points in this segment then both of the other guys who have an easier argument to defend. The other guy said are the falcons going to draft another qb next year when they don’t like penix? What kind of fantasy land are those two living in? It was just dumb statement after dumb statement.
The process makes ZERO sense. There was no chance that Penix would be taken by your pick, if you thought he was that great you could have had him and not given this much money to Kirk
…it’s literally not that complex. Penix will learn for two years then play. Simple. Relax. It’s worked before and it can again
@@ghosttowntomatobut then why take it at 8……. It’s too high of a pick for you to put them on the bench, outside of injury concern, I though penix is one of 2 QBs that are pro ready not a project
@@erickkuehne9566 There were three teams that tried to move up to get Penix. Waiting would not work.
Keon gone be another kelvin benjamin
😂😂😂
Benjamin had 1k yards and 9 receiving TDs in his rookie year then he ate himself out of the league and Keon is already 20 pounds lighter and a much better athlete than Benjamin coming out of college..
Dez Bryant*
gosh, forgot about him
I'm a eagles fan and I don't wish that on nobody lol
I’m happy there’s some smart people in sports media that gets the KC and Bills trade. Mike and so many others make it seem like it was such a crazy move because of the “rivalry” between the 2.
Buffalo made the move the helped them out because they weren’t going for Worthy and was able to move up in the draft.
Go birds! Solid draft n free agency. Still time for more moves
Orlovsky defending the Penix pick is on brand for him. The Falcons needed a pass rusher. But that was their top need, not their only need. What is he talking bout?
Mike T actually said something positive about the Bears that’s wild
Dan O trying to convince people the Penix pick was good is wild. Football is played by real humans not robots. They will have a QB controversy or a trade request from one of their QBs by next off season. Book it
what this draft told me was that the Raiders and Giants are banking on Jones and Minchew to show some life while they tank for Shedeur Sanders because they think he’s a franchise QB
Dude, don’t be silly. The Raiders are definitely going to be competitive this year and the only tanking will be done to the teams that are playing us.
Shedeur is asf overrated
Raiders aren’t tanking. They have 2 good starting QBs AOC was a rookie and played alright need to develop more and he’ll be better and give a full season. Raiders are gonna compete especially with their defense
Raiders can’t afford to tank for their locker room’s chemistry sake, the players stuck by their coach so he can’t tank as it would feel like a betrayal of that trust. Giants! Yeah we might tank lol but we’ll see I’m sure the owner wants to give Daniel Jones one last chance…I would like Shedeur though
I think the Penix pick was the best pick. The other players on the board weren’t worth reaching for. Having a 2-QB system is a way of the future. One can play in one quarter and the other in the next. It gives Atlanta many viable options to succeed. I watch a lot of football so I know this
I feel like the draw straws before every show, and whoeever draws the short straw has to defend the really bad take - and every single time Dan Orlovsky keeps drawing the short one every show lol
How anyone can defend what Atlanta did is baffling 🤣
Kirk Cousins is 36 with a bad achilles. He plays 2 years and they have a physical stud ready to take over. Penix will be 27 when they kick Cousins to the curb. Come on guys! If they didn't draft Penix next year you would be harping that the Falcons didn't have a succession plan when they knew Cousins was old and injury prone.
Bro some people just like to talk to hear themselves other people can’t stop repeating stuff already said. As a falcon fan that Saw Vick go to jail and Joey Harrington and David garrod take us 4-12. They seeing life after Matt Ryan the past season. It’s just good knowing we won’t be looking for a QB1 for the next 10-12 years
I'm glad that dude responded to the Bills "giving" the Chiefs Xavier Worthy. If the Chiefs liked him fine, there are plenty that didn't think he was that good.
I mean idk it’s still let them trade with someone else and not you. You don’t get really anything in return. Don’t let you be the ones to let them get their guy. Especially when you’re apart of the mahomes trade. They didn’t move up and get Mcduffie but when the Chiefs did they looked shocked. Then they said they didn’t like Mcduffie and they drafted Kaiir Elam and swore they got THEIR guy. We see how those picks worked out for the Chiefs.
@@stephencreates2764 You got a 3rd round pick in return. Them trading with someone else and getting their guys means you actually get nothing in return.
Having a qb sit a year or two has worked well for the packers. I’m sure it could work for ATL.
The Falcons GM legit seems like one of those people who thinks he is smarter than the rest of the room. That arrogance has led to a series of dumb decisions
Lol what dumb decisions? He has them in the best position since he’s been here. He was with the saints when drew Bree’s left and they had no succession plan. Came to the falcons matt ryan left with no succession plan. He’s supposed to let the same thing happen a 3rd time?.
5:01 thank you Dan 👏🏻
Kirk is a 35yr old QB coming off of a torn Achilles he was always a bridge QB. $50mil APY is the going rate for starting QBs Atlanta made a smart decision drafting Penix.
I think it was a chess move.. I would rather have him on my team than my division rival. Plus who knows with Kirk’s injury..
Definitely a chess move but not only that. Tampering is gonna take future picks from the falcons Added to the fact that a healthy kirk in a weak division is gonna win you enough games where you won’t have a wary pick. Kirks age and health. The 4 year contract ( that everyone is so concerned about) is set to pay Kirk over 2 years. I don’t see how it doesn’t make sense to so many people
Dan o always wants to sound like he smartest person on TV
The Eagles Getting the Top 1 & 3 CB’s in the draft is crazy
Who'll have the better rookie season Marvin Harrison Jr, Rome Odunze, or Malik Nabers?
Probably depends more on their QB and other team talent than on them. All three are generational talents, but you don't play football by yourself.
I hope Odunze but it’s really hard to pick against MHJ. No disrespect to Nabers or Odunze , both would be 1st WR picked in different drafts.
It depends on what you mean by “better”
As a Bears fan I doubt he’s going to get nearly the same amount of targets as MHJ and Malik given who we already have.
What's being missed is that the Bills have to evaluate is anyone else trying to jump the chiefs to take Worthy? If not...
Bills Miss out on a 3rd, A team behind them gets extra picks and the Chiefs get Worthy anyways.
Dan is SPOT ON.
Great pick for Atlanta. QBs are getting hurt every day nowadays . Cousins is currently hurt
Everyone drafted in the first round is going to be a perennial ALL-PRO. LOL They should do this on April 1st every year.
Beyond just the worst Falcons take, Big Danny with the best draft pick is the Bills with the 8th WR taken, someone they clearly didn't care if he was drafted because they traded down twice. Meanwhile Seahawks get a legit 3 technique at 16, Jets get arguably best tackle at 11, pretty much anyone that got a corner in the first round got value. Orlovsky is just stealing money, but anyone that watches ESPN deserves it.
Terry F. (ATL)GM former Saints guy didn’t want the Saints to draft Penix for the future! Period point blank 😂
the people complaining about the falcons having two decent QB on roster didnt watch much falcons games last year or teams that lost starting qbs.
They build around Caleb way better then they did Field’s the Bears finally doing the right moves
Excuse me but the Raiders were ranked the number one defense in the NFL the last half of the season
Ain't no precious nothing picks go wrong all the time
ESPN could've hosen better personalities for draft takeaways honestly
The Chiefs probably would have been able to draft Worthy if they stayed at 32. Instead, the Bills moved back 4 spots at the end of the 1st, moved UP 38 spots from 133 in the 4th to 95 in the 3rd, and also moved up 27 spots on a later pick. And the Bills still got the guy they wanted in Coleman. The Bills won that trade
The penix pick is not a bad pick!!!! Dans right, that’s the hardest position to fill in football!!!! And the cousins deal is really a two year deal they don’t expect him to stay four years!!!! And who ya gonna get any cheaper??? I mean ya wanna give yourself a shot at least but just because you sign a qb and then draft one doesn’t mean you aren’t giving y ourself a shot!!! Now penix can learn from cousins, and it’s like Dan said with cousins your not gonna be picking high jn the draft for the next couple years, and at the time they signed him maybe they didn’t think penix would be there and why would you go up all those picks to move forward??? It’s really not a bad move or pick
And these teams sr making so much money now they don’t care about the money!!!! Any owner in the nfl, most of them bought a football team as like a toy, or a something to just play with and to be jn that group of nfl owners!!! That’s an elite group of people!!!!!! The money they could care less about
And another thing, why are we listening to these two guys who can’t get jobs being gms anymore because they sucked at it so bad???
And I like Coleman better than worthy, but right now everything about the draft is just opinion wether it’s mine, an analyst, an ex gem, it’s all opinions till we see how these picks pan out in a couple years
Bro dan o said it correctly. Hype hasn’t been around a qb a place since luck. If he can be like luck without the injuries oooo wwe my team gonna be up there with San Fran soon
Hey Mike, maybe if you prioritized qb’s a little more you would still be a GM
You can’t possibly justify the Penix Jr pick imo
You must be too closed minded then because it actually sense
I wouldn't have told kirk cousins who im drafting. Did he tell them he were going to throw them under the bus in his press conference ?
Kirk was going to be a bridge QB. The falcons can get out of Kirk’s deal after 2 years. I think this was always going to be the plan for the Falcons
5:36 I know everyone is in the NOW NOW NOW. But Dan is NOT wrong.
The Falcons were absolutely not even close to making a real run even if they drafted friggen Aaron Donald with the 8th pick. They’re like 2 years out at minimum.
Money-wise sure. Cousins cost a lot. The Falcons front office has been whack for a while. But also player wise I don’t understand the hate.
This mlb or pga
There’s NOBODY that throws like Stafford freak rubber arm man side arming throws like plumber but somehow have perfect arc to wide receiver, and spin
Worthy would have been there for the chiefs to take because the 49ers weren’t taking him and the Bills liked Coleman so it’s win win for both teams probably more in favor of bills with the 3rd, this just gives the media something to blow hot air about. Because the true grade comes year/s down the line.
Wow, so some folks still don't get why the Falcons drafted at 8 a potentially Generational QB that in theory, replaces eventually a, by the Season Starts, 36yr QB coming of a Major injury. Which is why the Falcons are playing chess while most Fans are still stuck playing checkers.
If Kirk gets injured (God forbid), like Rogers last year, I'd rather have Penix than roulette FA to start. Nothing's guaranteed.
It was more to keep Penix away from another team and have a valuable trade chip for themselves. He's ready to start, not sit behind anyone for any length of time. His career as a starter is now shorter than it otherwise would have been just for fun.
#FreePenix
Sure Dan why shouldn’t the Falcons just draft Brock Bowers if it’s purely about talent acquisition? Because they have Kyle Pitts and you don’t draft backups with the 8th overall pick
All of these talking heads are now concerned about the Falcons' wallet. We appreciate your concern🤣 And thanks, Dan, for being the only one not auditioning for a job with the National Enquirer.
Greeny is right, the Bills should’ve taken Worthy themselves or told the Chiefs to Shove it.
Mike don’t ever talk about football again…”trade for Daniel jones”😂😂😂😂
The bills wanted the chiefs to draft Worthy. Speed guys, with that build and not the best hands are more likely bust than boom. IMO
San Francisco was idiotic to obtain Steve Young when they had Joe Montana. Green Bay were brain dead in obtaining Rogers when they had Favre. Washington shot themselves in the foot when they had RG III and drafted Cousins. No, wait, all of those (and similar) transactions worked out great for the teams that made those decisions. Suppose they thought the available edge players were not worthy of a first round pick? Time will tell.
it just shows ineptitude. you don't pay a free agent that money with that contract to then draft a qb to sit that long. 25mil cap hit if cut in year 3 to start penix. should have done what the vikings did and just get a bridge qb
Same 💩 was done in GB look how that worked out for them 🤨
Lets Pump the breaks on those Danny O comments. Ma man said that last year Justin Fields and the Bears were gonna be a top 10 team in NFC but we all know what happened.
DO loves to exaggerate and we have seen many time Pat calls him out for his outlandish takes.
Falcons could’ve had Justin Fields for a 6th rounder…. Used FA to bolster their defense.
I agree with Greeny about the Bills, you dont give the Chiefs a Tyreek like receiver. Its over, the Chiefs will 3peat.
Caleb the queefer lmao
Caleb the 2024 rookie of the year you mean 😉
For once I agree with Dan O
People compare Caleb to Mahomes. After seeing Caleb wearing dresses and painting his nails, I now understand they were comparing Caleb to Jackson Mahomes.
thought you were funny?
I agree
That’s Winning The Internet
That nobody at the end said you gotta run you draft your way well you just gave the baby goat the fastest WR in the league , who cares about your draft or you treat now . Bills ain’t ever winning a SB
They all act like the Bills gained a Pick in that trade when in reality they swappes a 4th for a 3rd so they have better spots but the same amount of Picks
If the owner was pressing the GM like in the movie "Draft Night" I don't think they were on board with that pick.
Of course Dan tries to make sense out of the Falcons pick and argues with everybody on it. Dan Orlovsky is so frustrating to listen to sometimes. You cannot make sense out of that pick at all.
Nobody in this video is a expert or a NFL GM for a reason. The Falcons don’t have to draft the players ESPN reports want them to draft. Ironically the only one with actual football experience and actually played QB, thinks the Falcons made a good pick. While a bunch of nobody reporters try and dispute it. ESPN is falling off.
85 sacks is a historical embarrassment. Sheesh
"Inconceivable"...you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Time will tell but I am sure MH junior was selected before Rome as the best WR out there. So not sure why the guy at the beginning is stating what he cant know
I agree with Graz and T on the Pennix situation. Why sign Cousins just to draft a QB top ten? Why not draft Cousins some help? That GM is stupid
Were the Vikings stupid to draft Rogers when they had Favre? And Cousins is old and brittle, and certainly no Favre. If they add an edge they would win their division and go nowhere in the playoffs. If they do not add an edge the will win their division and go nowhere in the playoffs. Winning their division means they will pick down at the center of the draft or below. No way to draft a new quarterback then, and there will not be another QB class like this for a decade, if it ever happens again. Will Cousin's Achilles tendon hold out? Something smells stupid but it's not the Falcons. The Falcons want to build a dynasty. It's a great QB that accomplishes that. Is Cousins a great QB in your eyes, or above average? His money per year is a little high for his ability, but they had to do something at QB and there is no guarantee they could get Penix. Three teams tried to move up to draft him.
The bills gone regret that move. The giants I’m not even gonna get on them. To let the jets get better on defense was wild also lol. But the bears and us (eagles) did what needed to be done
What 7 teams in the NFC have a better skill group then the Bears 😅 DanO be smoking too much. If you wanna say 49ers and Vikings sure.
13:07 also Dan G is right here too. Greeny has the hardcore fan mindset of like 90% of this comment section. The Belichick comment is just petty fan nonsense. Playing games to impact other teams in the draft has gotta be the last thing on the minds of these PROFESSIONAL MEGA-MILLION dollar franchises
When New England paid Bledsoe 100 million and drafted and started Tom Brady was SSSOOOOOO dumb....why are analysts so worried about the money, weird how none of them are a GM currently...they are professional talkers
Seattle got Matt Flynn and paid him 19.5 million with 10 million guaranteed (QB contracts were not as sky-high then) and drafted Russel; Wilson. But they sat Flynn and played Wilson. There are many examples of teams with a very good or even great QB drafting a successor or getting one in trade. And it turned out to be a good decision.
@@danncorbit3623 Exactly, the draft is about talent aquisition, their particular need(defence)was just a valuable commodity in 1st round...they could flip him this year, or keep as insurance, either way they control a talented player
These people digging way too deep into this lol. So what if Kirk goes out like Rodgers last season? Then you have a really good backup that can takeover Kirk is not guaranteed to be healthy but if he is so what ? It’s a great problem to have. There was not 1 single player that would’ve made them a contender at pick 8
Dan’s explanation for how the Falcons situation happens, Dan fails to realize, would be a perfect example of a dis functional organization.
I like how many are acting like Kirk Cousins is Aaron Rodgers, how dare you disrespect him? Cousins was a risky add coming off a serious injury. Did they pay Cousins too much, yeah, if they were always planning on drafting a QB at #8. Were they? I don't know. Cousins is absolutely a bridge QB. He's 36 coming off a serious injury.
agree with Dan when he said dude started talkin silly, two different situations- cousins old injured and average
