Hey you guys! So today I wanted to try some products I used to use back in the day. Mane n Tail! Comment below a horse emoji if you are reading this. My mom used to swear by this shampoo and conditioner (which can be used on horses and other animals), but it used to dry my hair out badly. My hair was permed back then, so I wanted to see how it would work on my natural hair.

@Lea A, I was feeling nostalgic a few months ago and bought the shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo made my hair feel stripped but the conditioner was good. I haven't used it since but I think I'm gonna use it again. Evidently, my hubby is cuz the shampoo bottle dented in the middle😁

SunQueen it’s super concentrated since it has to be strong enough to clean a horse. Dilute it with water in a bottle before applying to your hair. It will dry your hair out full strength. I haven’t used it since childhood but my friend use it from childhood-adult and swears by it.
Do you use the original or for deep moisture?😇
I’m white with fine wavy-straight hair, and this brand has been working great on my hair type too! its so much healthier and grows faster. your natural hair is so pretty btw, im obsessed with your curl pattern :)
You're right-- back in the day there were few products for our hair -- grease and water or grease and a pressing comb, so we just used what we had.

This is what I've been using lately on my hair and it's been helping my hair so much with the dryness and I feel my hair truly restoring.

I love it. Makes my hair soooo soft. It’s been around forever but I only started using it this year.
I used to use this back in the day n had thick long hair. Then I stopped after going natural n became a product junkie. My hair now was long but had to cut a chunk because of damage n I feel like it's thinning. Guess its time to go back to basics

I use the shampoo a couple weeks ago thinking it was going help faded my hair color a lil bit, but it was so moisturizing

I did too..but made my hair dry..stripped it rather...relaxed days

I use it now ( the conditioner only) as a wash and go every week and my hair been growing ever since

The conditioner I got from mane n tail says mosterizer-texterizer and I’m scared to put it in my hair cause I don’t want it to change the texture. Do I use it?

Only use the conditioner! The original conditioner works better! Use as a leave in conditioner; on my mama yo hair grow crazy

Yes it works but i suggest if you use the original one you are gonna need to add back oils because it does leave the hair a little dry. But it cleans my hair better than any other shampoo and conditioner. Btw sorry about your dogs.

it doesn’t change hair texture. i have the same conditioner, my hair is still 4b 4c
I love this shampoo and conditioner. I use it on myself, my horses and my dog. I got away from it and I regret it. I am trying the deep moisture for the first time, I usually get the "normal" one (the one that just says mane n tail)

I just bought it and used it today and it's like a yellow color. I'm confused cause yours was blue which is the color it was when I bought it years ago. does anyone know if they changed the formula or something ?

@@marlakoorevaar9044 ya so i did a bit more research as well and found out the original formula is yellowish and deep conditioning is blue :) so i must have bought the deep conditioning years ago and didn't realize and now bought original. hope this helps :)

I combed out my locs .. I'm trying this today (currently shampooing) it's either this or cut it all off 💯😩 last resort.
I combed mines out too after 4 months , I have to get a trim . I brought this shampoo to see if it’ll help strengthen and thicken my hair.
I stopped using it because the color of the product kept changing...it was yellow, blue, and white...once it changed the last time I was like nah...
