    O carnaval em Recife será mais natural, mais do povo e menos comercial do que Rio e Salvador. Carnaval de rua, fantasias coloridas e frevo. Ótima escolha!

    • @Stronghart
      @Stronghart ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Commercial vai ser igual, o povo quer e precisa ganhar dinheiro em qualquer lugar, porém eu acho o carnaval pernambucano o mais interessante e divertido do Brasil.

      @@Stronghart Acho que ela se referiu a "comercial" no sentido dos camarotes e festas/shows privados. Em Recife/Olinda você até encontra festas e eventos privados, obviamente, mas a maior parte da festa é livre e gratuita.

      O carnaval da Bahia tem que gastar dinheiro, tem que comprar kit pra brincar com segurança, pois o bloco da pipoca, não tem segurança, tem vários arrastões e assaltos. Em recife tem várias festas privadas, mas sempre acontece dias antes do carnaval, pois na semana de carnaval ,ninguém vai deixar de brincar um carnaval de rua, bonito e seguro de graça, e pagar uma fortuna em festa privada. No Marco Zero , tem o palco principal com shows nacional e internacional (Alceu Valença, Elba, Marcelo Falcão, Jotta Quest, Banda Frevo, Lenine etc) e em cada rua do Recife Antigo, tem um palco direcionado apenas um ritmo, machinha de carnaval, pagode, samba, rock, frevo e MPB. E no resto da cidade tem vários pólo de frevo, com shows de Marina Lima, Alcione, Zélia Duncan etc..Tudo de graça e com segurança. Faz mais de 15 anos que curto o carnaval no Recife Antigo, e nunca vi assalto e arrastões, os polícias não tem trabalho nenhum, ao contrário de Olinda, onde os policiais passam empurrando todo mundo, as vezes apanhamos e nem sabemos o porque!

    You should try the "Cartola", a regional breakfast/dessert (it is too rich for dessert! But some people eat it after lunch) made of bananas, cheese (a local one), cinnamon, and sugar, all baked to the melting point. The "bolo de rolo" is a kind of roulade cake, very thin layered, another must-try for "tea time" or breakfast. And ice cream, don't miss ice cream in the northeast! The most unique fruit flavors in the world, period.

    Recife is called "Brazilian Venice" because it was built over rivers and swamps. Back when it was still growing, people had to take many boats to walk around, since it always flooded. The two main rivers, Capibaribe and Beberibe, also would flood and engulf everything around.
    Nowadays the city also floods but not as before. If you are unlucky, you will get heavy rain and flooded streets.

    Luiz Gonzaga was (still is, even after death) one of the most important singers in Brasil. His father, Januário, was a singer and composer too,, the only diference between him and the son is That Luiz Gonzaga took over the whole country (Brasil wild famous) while Januário, though really good musician, had a more localized fame... ALSO, Luiz Gonzaga had a son, Gonzaguinha, who parked near Rio de Janeiro and composed lots of awesome musics, including several against the military goverment at the time... and several beautifull songs he made (most Samba, some Forró and... well, he was amazing). Saddly he died too young, and left us all in the middle of 80s, I believe.
    ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS brazilian songs, sang everywhere there is a brazilian present, is written by Gonzaguinha "O que é, o que é"... And I love "Espere por mim morena", 'É", "Lindo lago do amor", "Explode coração" and several others of him too, You can find all those on youtube to listen on his channel.

    I'm not really a Carnival person, but, yeah, I guess you made the right decision to stay in Recife for the Carnival. Muito bom!

    Luiz GONZAGA (not Gonzalez). And those statuettes are very likely regional folklore (locals would explain better) not Carnival-related.

    Recife/Olinda has the best carnival for the seasoned "carnival-person". For the first carnival, I don't know if I would recommend it, because it is WILD and very unique, different from other regions. Nevertheless, I envy you! Be prepared for the party, and be prepared to leave the party when you got too tired (it may need planning to get out and rest!). And don't miss Olinda street carnival. Before the carnival, go one night to "Vassourinhas" carnival club, I cannot stress more how this experience is special. It is a club founded in 1889 to promote carnival parties. It was closed for some time, so you will have to check if it reopened or where they are playing. Another unmissable show is anything where Alceu Valença is singing, he is one of the oldest and greatest musicians in Brazil, besides being a relatively accessible person, you may actually bump with him in the streets of Olinda.
