I'm sorry I heard you say Aaron Tveit in Moulin Rouge and lukewarm in the same sentence and I stopped computing 😂 no, I respect your opinion, I just love Moulin Rouge with my whole heart and Aaron singing in it literally takes my breath away. Currently planning my 6th Broadway trip. Going for 13th show in 9 days. Will see how it goes 😅
It was so lovely meeting you both! If/when you come back next year, I’d love for you to check out the Fulton Theatre in Lancaster, PA! Great theatre in the heart of PA! Also happy you got a new camera mic!
Had a great time chatting again at the meetup. You're welcome for the B&W cookies 😀 And I am glad to hear you were able to make it to B&H - it's definitely an experience! Also the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade musical numbers are performed in front of the 34th Street entrance.
When you're in NYC again, I recommend the Roosevelt Island tram for a good skyline view. It also featured in a King Kong movie. Also less pricey than tickets to ESB.
New shows to see in Broadwat in 2024- The Who's Tommy, Cabaret (to compare to the London production) and My Son's A Queer. I hope you get to see some of these!
When I saw the title of this vlog I thought how much more could they have done. However, when I saw the 1+ hr running time I was a little dubious and unsure if I would be able to sit through the whole vlog. To my surprise the time watching the vlog flew by. I was astounded at the amount of content you were able to shoehorn into the 1hr. I appreciated you sharing your touristy explorations as well as highlighting your non-theater show adventures. I love the idea of an annual pilgrimage to NYC. Hopefully maybe our paths may cross. This was a great NYC theater series. Take care.
Glad you got to B&H, it's an amazing store. I always wish I was rich when I go there, cause I want everything lol. Also glad you saw Here Lies Love, I think it's the best musical of 2023, am shocked & saddened that it closed today (11-26). I caught Spamalot last week, it's terrific, def. check it out on your next visit "Interesting" is a good word to describe 'Grey House.' lol The staging (set, lighting, sound, etc) & performances were terrific; the writing - not so hot. I live a short walk from Hudson Yards & enjoy going there. But never been to the observation deck, cause standing on a glass floor so high up in the sky would freak me out. Kudos to Aeron for braving it! Gonna miss your NYC videos, hope you're back to cover the Tony's. 🤞
Here's a tip for avoiding the long line to enter the Al Hirshfeld from 8th avenue. You can enter from the other side on 45th between 8th and 9th. There's about 10 times less usage of that entry.
Thanks for sharing your journeys. Thanks for highlighting regional theatres. Glad you were able to resolve the microphone situation. Already looking forward to hearing about your next trip. Impressive that you have now seen 3 of the 5 high viewing platforms on your two NYC trips. The best is supposedly One Summit Vanderbilt by Grand Central. Cannot confirm as I have not been. Do you plan to try that or One World Observatory near Ground Zero, or are you done with observation desks? (since Aeron is not a fan) What was the favorite non-theatre thing you did while you were in the United States? Recently saw a number of shows, including some you saw - Merrily (understudy for Lindsay Mendez, Jamila Sabates-Klemm), Here We Are, Purlie Victorious, Six, and Gutenberg. Planning 2024 trip as well.
First I am THRILLED you saw a show at 54 Below it's at the top of my list to hit when I make it back to NYC since I love it's vibe. Whenever I see someone else on for a role I really wanted to see the principle for I embrace the chaos & curveball & am usually never disappointed. As far as GG pretty much a lock it's going to transfer just a mater of what theater & when will it get announced. Next year is STACKED though so we shall see what happens with shows yet to announce a run.
i'm glad you both had another magical trip to manhattan/brooklyn. can't believe both you packed so many musicals/plays in. i'm shocked you didn't see MJ and/or Back to the Future.
@@aptadpamu yeah but i don't care who i got as MJ. Plus Myles will have an alternate and won't tell the audience which performances the alternate will be on. I got Aramie on Broadway no one in the audience loved him. Huge moments in the show to applaud and cheer for him. Right now a former younger Simba on broadway is now MJ.
@amycarcaterra8177 Wait, you said no one liked Aramie? I loved Aramie's take on MJ. But sadly, he's left the show, too. At least Tavon is still there... right?
Was so envious at the part where you talked about all the shows you've seen! (Also, there's a Hebrew song in the background at that part, so unexpected. Maybe related to the holiday you said happened at the time. I think some orthodox people dance to it on the streets on some holidays.)
Next time go by go the met museum and MJ Broadway. Seeing I need that play Broadway and a prayer for republic on Broadway. Did go paperbill milburn saw Anne frank play years ago
I feel the same way about Ellen's Stardust Diner, I like Gayle's Broadway Rose at the Edison a lot better. The vast majority of performances are musical theatre related and the servers do a great job of immersing the diners into each number. I would recommend checking it out next time you are in NYC.
Glad you got introduced to Cacophony Daniels and Sutton Lee Seymour ❤️. They are both wonderful live singers, not sure if you got to see that part. Have met them on the Atlantis gay cruises.
8:00 The song in the background is "Mi SheMa'amin" (Those Who Believe), a Hebrew song of strength in NYC just 2 days after the horrific events of October 7. Thank Mickey-Jo&Aeron for a bit of escapism in these dark times
Nvm. Left the comment before I got to the end. I look forward to your thoughts on GG because mine were mixed. Also, if you're able to swing it on your next trip, I would suggest taking a train to DC to see a show down here. There are many beautiful theatres in the area but the Kennedy Center is the biggest and most well-known (I'd suggest the Broadway Center Stage series shows as the ones most worth traveling for, if one coincides with your trip. These are kind of like encores in new york -- short runs, big names, innovative but minimal staging. The series this coming season is Tick Tick Boom, Nine, and Bye Bye Birdie). The Arena stage (original home of DEH pre-broadway), Woolly Mammoth (pre-broadway home of A Strange Loop), and Ford theatre (pre-broadway home of Come From Away) all host lots of interesting shows, just to name a few. A train (amtrak) is about 3.5 hours each way from new york to dc so you could make a roundtrip in a day around a matinee, or spend a couple days seeing DC. Sorry if that was too much but happy to share more if you are interested.
If you are back in brooklyn in 2024, Myss Tic Rooms has a stagey escape room called Ghostlight. There's also a heist escape room at escape hunt (other side of bryant park from times square) that features the painting from Sunday in the Park with George.
Saw MJ and didn't get who I got as little michael/middle michael/MJ. Aramie Payton was MJ he was a blast, dancing blew me away, & acting he made you cry/laugh. Him and Bailey McCall as Rachel had so much sexy chemistry and easy matched. MJ and whoever plays Rachel needs that chemistry. They may need to bring in american and actors/actresses from canada for the ensemble. Ensemble dancers/singers needs to be 10/10 and can't miss a beat. Hopefully the theatre in London will be really large or the music will be a letdown especially the sound design.
The subtle shade at Harry Potter/JKR was glorious
A good play, chicken, and cookies..what else could one want?
A chatty video with you both and Brendon and Ashley on west end vs Broadway differences etc
OMG I WROTE SUNDAY BRUNCH AND THANK YOU FOR SHOUTING US OUT
Cookies - Gutenberg - Empire State Building.. love everything you do 😊

Manhattan actually has a municipal steam utility -- not unusual to see steam coming up from the pavement.

MICKEY JO I NEED YOU AND ELLIE ASAP FOR MAMMA MIA VIDEO ACTUALLY WTF
Wow I was surprised when you said you hadn’t seen lion king in London! Go!!!! Wow so many show posters, what!
I know fuck all about Sunday Brunch but do I have that main tune stuck in my head now? Yup.
Glad you were able to check out B&H. It's an attraction in itself and amazing to visit all the departments.

It was so nice to meet you both! I hope you enjoyed the Canadian goodies 🫶🏼
Love these videos! Thank you for all these delightful NY vlogs

Most delicious thing: ice cream sandwich with the cookies. 🍪🍦
Even better than Junior's cake shake?

Sorry i wasn't in NYC when you were. I definitely gotta make it to the Flea Market next year!
Let us know when you come back to NYC! Would love to have the chance to meet you. Thanks for all of your reviews.
I went to New York for the first time last year and saw Spies Are Forever in concert at 54 Below Such a great venue So glad you had a good time
i'm glad you both had another magical trip to manhattan/brooklyn. can't believe both you packed so many musicals/plays in. i'm shocked you didn't see MJ and/or Back to the Future.
Myles Frost has left MJ and is scheduled to open on the West End version next year.

While I can imagine reasons why you would never want to see the Harry Potter play again I really want to know why… spill the tea!
My guess is not wanting to give JK Rowling any more money
Are you still planning to post videos/reviews for The Cottage and The Great Gatsby? I was looking forward to your thoughts
Nvm. Left the comment before I got to the end. I look forward to your thoughts on GG because mine were mixed.

revolving doors are to keep the cold winter air from flooding into lobbies of buidings.

Did you do a review of Six in NYC?
I know this would be hard to arrange, but a how to get cheap tickets in New York like you did a while ago for London.
Did you ever do a review of Harry Potter & The Cursed Child?
