i've actually just realised something, it actually quite fits with parr leaving the stage mid-show (even if it wasnt on purpose) as it kindd of works with her character being like "let's not do this competition"

Jen has played 3 queens on the West End (Cleves, Howard and Parr) and she has played 4 queens on the UK Tour (Boleyn, Seymour, Howard and Parr). She has played 5/6 queens overall, meaning she only needs to play Aragon to complete Swingo.

Okay, but I really need that brochure. I hope they have something similar when they go on Broadway, or if I could find a way to get one of them online, because they are really cool, and I was low-key freaking out when you went through it.
Edit: I also applaud Jen for being able to switch on so quickly, within a few minutes, and how the others were able to make Get Down work. Because I honestly didn't know how switching on during the middle of a single act show would work. I'm also really annoyed that someone had to go up to Jen and say they wanted to see Danielle? It wasn't Jen's fault, or Danielle's fault that she had to go off, considering that she was sick the whole week. The woman should've been glad the show was able to go on without much difficulty, and should've commended Jen for being able to go on at such a short notice. Just don't go to a show if your enjoyment of it relies on one actor. Because anything can happen.

This reminds me of a show when I was on crew for a COMPETITIVE SHOW and I had to go onstage for the person playing the lead with 30 minutes notice. And I had to memorize all of the lines in 30 minutes, find something to use as a costume, and do my stage makeup. Plus I had an 8 second quick change that we only got to run once before the show. Even though it was stressful, it is probably the most fun show I've ever been a part of.

I know we all love the alternates and they’re amazing and talented, but am I the only one who thinks it’s insane that boleyn is the only one who’s in the like ‘official’ cast? like there are five alts on in one night. why is that happening? this is literally the only thing I can think about when seeing megasixes. I can’t really remember seeing a megasix without an alt in it..
There will usually be one alternate on as every Queen is entitled to a day off a week, unfortunately at the moment Lexi is injured and Natalie has been ill and plus the fact there isn’t a howard at the moment it’s meant a lot more alternates are on.

I love how you two were buzzing about the interactions! It really makes it so much more special - but sometimes in the moment it's like omg this is too much & I realized why after I heard someone mention how passionate people are when they perform, so then suddenly you're really a part of that!

That's correct - from the original West End cast Jaye'J (Aragon), Natalie (Seymour), & Lexi (Cleves) are still part of the current cast. For this show I think Jaye'J had the show off, Natalie had the flu, & Lexi has been off for a while with a knee injury. They also don't have a new primary Howard starting until the 21st so that's why initially there were 4 alternates on - & then the 5th alternate had to go on mid show because Danielle (Parr) lost her voice

I’m pretty sure in the get down choreo Seymour is in the back, but because Hana is the Parr and Seymour first cover she just switched to parr’s spot for the song in order to balance it out!
The first time I watched Six Colette was on as Aragon and her voice was SO powerful in the No Way climax she was like N N N N N N N N N N NOOOOOOOOO and I was like AHHH OMG I LOVE YOU

Great vlog but also the IRONY that she was ON LIVE and got a question about going on mid show literally like ten minutes before she had to leave and go on!?! Insane. I couldn’t deal.
Caris I watched the live and thought it was so funny how so many people were asking questions about her being an emergency cover. Someone asked “do you do warmups with the rest of the cast while on cover?” And “if you were called on right now what would you have to do to get ready” and I think I remember someone else saying “if she (Jen) went on right now it’d be 5 alternates”

I’ve seen it three times, firstly at the Arts Theatre back in 2019, then secondly at the Norwich Theatre Royal on the 2nd UK Tour in 2021 and thirdly, earlier on this year in January at the Vaudeville Theatre for the ‘Royal West End Singalong’, heading back there later on this year in September for the next one!
