Early last century a young English man called Harris was returning home from South Germany, after concluding a business trip. A silk merchant, and junior partner in his family firm, Harris suddenly had the impulse to take the mountain railway from Strasbourg and pay a visit to his old school, after an absence of over thirty years. His father had sent him to the strict religious college at the age of fifteen, and he remembered his two years in the remote mountain village as at times tough, but also enlightening and sometimes even magical.

I absolutely love the intro to this video, it’s been a literal lifetime since I’ve seen a tape recorder like that, lol.
I still have a Walkman. I bought my first tape recorder circa 1965. It was a miniature reel-to-reel but did NOT use cassettes. The reels were separate. Not very elegant.
This is pretty much representative of the world right now ! Poignant and a good reminder to stay in the light. 🙏 It does after all , banish the dark 🙏

She's a great narrator, I find her voice calming and interesting coupled with these stories, I'm shocked to say I now believe in ghosts, with cameras everywhere the videos are absolute evidence that there are things in this world that defy explanation.

I love these stories because they do tell truths about life. But things do seem to repeat themselves over the years as well if this was true or not.

Wonderful video as always but as I am going def it was very hard to hear the new narrator and follow the story. She does have a beautiful soothing tone which could easily lull one into a peaceful sleep but I greatly miss the old narrator because he was so much easier for me to follow the story. Today I had to mainly rely on the CC so I could understand the story. But as always I appreciate you sharing the video and all of the work and time you put into them. Thank you take care

Interesting that we're not told where this village or school is other than southern Germany. So no, you can't verify anything about this story at all.
The picture is of 'Moselbad Cochem' - Cochem Castle.
Going by what other viewers are saying, it's a fictional story.
They do credit a writer, Algernon Blackwood, in the synopsis!
Algernon Blackwood along with EF Benson and Montague James were some of the greatest horror short story writers of the early 20the century. "The Willows", " the Wendigo". " caterpillars "....
There’s a whole ghost town in England where people have witnessed the whole town to be haunted even outdoors. The tall thief from ‘home alone’ the actor I forgett his name Danny something he talks about his experience when he visited there on “ celebrity ghost stories “ it’s very interesting.

It's an interesting story, but I had to turn the volume up from 21 to 37 to hear you clearly.

I'm on Samsung J3 2017 and can hear her, altho I did have to turn up my volume as she's quietly spoken and my OH is a loud snorer!! 🤪🤪

Greetings from Germany! The castle in the video is the Reichsburg of Cochem, a city at the Mosel river. No satanic worship know around there. You should pay a visit, it‘s gorgeous!
This is a good channel that produces some wonderful content. I love the voices, the speed and pacing, the overall editing, and the choice of very subtle music, which allows the story to come across clearly.
The volume is way too low. Had to boost it 200% to hear it clearly. Honestly? I miss the old narrator.

Listening on an iphone7 and I have no problem with the volume or audio quality.
No chance you could have showed any other pictures besides 15 mins of the same castle ? maybe at least showed other sides to the castle or something? It is basically a podcast with one picture of a castle from the same view point the whole time.

@@jbrobertson6052 It’s not just the Catholics. Religion itself isn’t that bad. It’s when people put it above all else, including the welfare of others, or use it as a tool to “prove” how virtuous they are. Look at Joel Osteen: he’s not Catholic and yet he’s cheated millions AND refused to help people by opening his “church” to people desperate and effected by disastrous weather.
Plenty of countries were ravaged by pagan religions, too, in the name of their gods.
People are just assholes, really. Uppity apes with delusions of philosophy and “civilization.”

Why would sinister priests become ghosts you might ask? Well, there was no way in hell they were ever going to get into heaven.
It is fiction. So the author can make his characters do or say anything he wants. They could fly, wear striped pajamas or speak ancient Minoan if he wanted them to.

I suffer also from both of those. Use a speaker that you can control the bass and treble. Set treble as low as you can. Really helped me. Good luck

There have been other highly spiritual experiences that people have gone through that they state in our time in other videos on TH-cam. Those have been from the dark side.
Im not hating at all im really not😭but i always get excited to listen to you but than i started getting sleepy and bored completely turn off. Even the scary feelings goes away and everything turn into nothingness.this has never happen to me before😩. It resembles another story. I think it was the "abbey feast. " by Block?
I was referring to another writer Robert Bloch, with a very similar story. Not Blackwood who has a large corpus of work.

There’s an added creepiness to ghost stories involving satanic monks.
Monk ghosts anywhere just look terrifying - you can’t see their faces inside their hoods - and you know you don’t want to.

In hell, where obviously demons 😈 reside, according to demonology, there are various demons who are the spiritual keepers of specific vices. Asmodeus is the demon of lust, yes. That demon is a very well known one. Demonolatry has to do with those on the dark side that worship or use demons for their purposes. 😈

I'd thank you to not use this whispering narrator again, my goodness. It was so hard to hear, between the video sound being low and her whispering, I had to turn the volume almost all of the way up, and still had to have the CC on.
