How does the VA handle the process? Do they take away your VA rating? I know you can’t get both at the same time, but when you retire/separate again, will you automatically pick back up with your 40% rating?

@@noahwayne3847 hey, so they don’t take away your VA disability rating. You will put your benefits on hold if you go active. If you do reserves you can still collect your disability rating, but not on drill days. Make sure to inform the VA of any time you are doing drills or on active orders. This way your not double dipping. Hopefully this answers your question.
