Flour tortillas made in Mexico are delicious. Flour tortillas in the US have a particular smell and taste that I dislike (I think it's due to the large amount of ingredients and preservatives).
It's this reason i much prefer Corn tortillas.
I do think that the corn tortillas in the states do have a weird taste as well way better in the neighborhood tortillarias in Mexico

The day of the dead is mostly celebrated by indigenous people in the south and most actually believe in the whole belief and traditions aspect of the holiday. Especially in Oaxaca where they've been celebrating it for a long time and celebrate it in a more traditional way than the more popular version done in Mexico city. You most likely don't celebrate it because you're not indigenous or you're not that close to your indigenous side (if you have any indigenous ancestry) which also explains why you don't know the story of Juan Diego since he's very well known amongst the indigenous people and most of Mexico. But it is a big deal too many southern indigenous/mestizo Mexicans.
That is not true. Yo don't have to be ingigenous to celebrate Día de los Muertos.
@@Marusanchez100 never said you HAD to, but the majority of people who genuinely celebrate it are indigenous people in indigenous communities. I’ve heard from many non-indigenous Mexicans that they just began celebrating it because of Coco.

Are you Mexican-American? Where did you born and raise? Asking this because ANYONE who studied in Mexico at least until high school knows about war with France, about Sierras Madres, about Paricutin, Popocatepetl, and a lot of stuff are mentioned in this video.

@@TA.46No such thing. If you were born in Mexico you are Mexican. What you probably mean is he's Mexican with Spanish ancestry. Which is the majority of all Mexicans unless you are fully 100% indigenous.
Puebla is not considered as part of the Mexico City Metropolitan Area.
And, the sinking of the city is not a reason for why earthquakes are particularly bad in CDMX. It has completely to do with the softness of the underground as it was an ancient lake bed; basically it just magnifies the ground shaking. It's also not all over the city, most of the city (practically all the west and north side are on firm ground, these areas aren't particularly hard hit).
A lot of what they mention is very common knowledge in Mexico, this dude seems to not be very informed about a lot of things. He doesn't seem very assimilated.

I can get the love-hate relationship between the USA and Mexico.
The tensions are usually caused by American government officials who Mexicans feel are a little too demanding, sometimes of their own volition, sometimes at the insistence of US businesses. There are also ordinary Americans, mostly small-town and far away from the border, who are bothered by all the Mexican immigrants trying to "take their jobs" and "impose their culture" in the community.
Just because a community is far away from the border doesn't mean that the influx of cheaper labor hasn't reached there or had an impact. I live in Pennsylvania, and even here a number of them live and work here at least part of the year. They're hard working and decent people who don't deserve the stigma that is put on them, but please don't trivialize the "take their jobs" notion. My dad spent most of his life doing physical labor (mainly drywalling) and used to earn a good deal of money but wages have been pushed down hard over the past couple decades. You can't blame migrant or immigrant workers for what they're doing of course, they have families and needs of their own. It's annoying though when people bash American-born workers for "not working as hard" or "expecting to much for work" after they fought a century expecting higher wages and better treatment to begin with. Both sides are kind of being screwed in that one side had their livelihoods threatened and wages suppressed while the other is often exploited by those just wanting to pay less and end up being scapegoated for the problem. It's unfair to cast a negative light on migrant and immigrant laborers given America's history, but it's also important to note that if people didn't automatically turn their noses up at rural working-class Americans complaining about the issue then some of the more unsavory aspects of American politics currently may've never been an issue in the first place.
@Trevon Womack There are still plenty of people willing to do intensive labor in America, especially in construction, but they expect to be payed decently for it given the past century of labor advancements. Those people have valid complaints, it's just that it is unfair to migrant / immigrant laborers to push the blame on them when they are just trying to find opportunities wherever they can, and are often exploited by people that just don't want to pay decent wages.
@@hiyazekku66 exploited by laws (made by white people) that allow employers to underpay and abuse migrant workers, while law enforcement does not react quickly enough as governments (state and federal) are in hock to huge corporations that encourage this

I grew up in Puebla there is a lot of bug cuisine. All of the pueblitos outside of Puebla eats bugs.. you offended me, jk, but really though.

I'll stick with my one million Americans living in Mexico (which honestly, it's underreported) and 40 million tourists in Mexico per year (the vast majority from the United States) and it being the 6th to 8th most visited country in the world (depending on the year).
