Join me as I drive through the Western Sydney Airport construction site which is located in Badgerys Creek in Western Sydney. This new airport will become the gateway of choice for Sydney, Australia and the world. It will be a hub for Australian and international visitors, a beacon for growing businesses and careers, and a global benchmark for air travel- proudly home in Western Sydney.
The airport will be a catalyst for major new infrastructure in Western Sydney, designed to make Western Sydney International highly accessible. Travel to, from and around the area will be made even easier with new motorways, train lines and upgraded roads.
Australian-founded company Multiplex has been awarded the contract to take the initial terminal concepts through to a final design and to construct the terminal. Terminal construction commenced in late 2022. Western Sydney International is on track to begin international and domestic passenger services and air cargo flights in late 2026.
