Sydney 4K Drive | M8 Tunnel (WestConnex) | Padstow to Kensington | 🇦🇺

(4K) 1PM drive from M5 East Motorway at Padstow to Doncaster Avenue, Kensington.
The WestConnex M8 connects Kingsgrove to St Peters via new nine kilometre twin tunnels. The M8 runs from the King Georges Road Interchange at Beverly Hills to a new interchange at St Peters (built on the former Alexandria landfill site).
We will be travelling on Gardeners Road upon exiting the St Peters Interchange. This interchange also connects to future projects: the M4-M5 Link, M6 extension and Sydney Gateway into Sydney Airport and Port Botany (opening 2023). The tunnels are marked for two lanes in each direction, with capacity to add a third.

El WestConnex M8 conecta Kingsgrove con St Peters a través de nuevos túneles gemelos de nueve kilómetros. La M8 va desde King Georges Road intercambio en Beverly Hills hasta un nuevo intercambio en St Peters (construido en el antiguo vertedero de Alexandria).
Viajaremos por Gardeners Road al salir de St Peters intercambio. Este intercambio también se conecta a proyectos futuros: el enlace M4-M5, la extensión M6 y Sydney Gateway hacia el aeropuerto de Sydney y Port Botany (apertura en 2023). Los túneles están señalizados para dos carriles por sentido, con capacidad para añadir un tercero.

I used to work in Botany and I retired in June,2020.And it was 1 week later that a toll
was introduced in the Beverly Hills to Arncliffe portion of the M5 East.So great ‘timing’
on my part.In all seriousness from what I’ve read,both the M5 East and M8 have received
much lower patronage and,with the high toll charges,I can see why.
