Tip : If you Nuke the diced potatoes for approx 60-70 seconds before putting in the pan to fry n brown there's no need for the oven step & you can then use a non-stick skillet. Trust me, done this, it works. Do like the idea of corn bread as a side dish. Overall a thumbs up recipe
I made this dish 2 nights ago 5/16/2022 and was delicious! Ms. Donna did not have a bake temperature posted so I tried it at 350°F. It took forever meaning like 1 hour and a half. I cooked the remaining of it the next day between 400-425°F for apprx 45mins and covered with aluminum foil as Ms. Donna mentioned. It came out puurrrrfect!!
I’ve made this many times but with chicken broth. Stove top. A Louisiana Cajun taught me the recipe. I use a lot more green beans and because they boil first in the broth I can use them fresh right out of the garden. I also use more onion. Either way this dish is one that is a treasure.
That looks delicious. I cook green beans and potatoes all the time never thought about sausage in it. I'm definitely making this. I love one pot meals. Great video take care and God bless.
We make something similar in a pot, but this is WAY better! We used regular russet potatoes since that’s what we had. We also mixed up a copycat of Tony’s creole seasoning that we found online. It turned out PERFECT and absolutely delectable!
My family makes this but in a pot. We brown the sausage (char) and then add the onions & garlic, add potatoes with water to boil, then add green beans with juice once the potatoes are almost done. Simmer and several with a little apple cider vinegar. The vinegar takes it up 10 notches!
Hi Donna! This came together so quickly & easily! Even had everything on hand to make the jalapeño cornbread, too. My family enjoyed every last bite...no leftovers! Thanks for the video! ☺
I also used a lil bit of cumin spice along with the smoked paparika, tony's creole seasoning, and black pepper. I also did a light spinkle of cayenne pepper on top. Thanks Ms. Donna!!
Hi! This is one of my favorite meals! I have not tried the pan version , but it looks yummy. I did the crockpot version a few weeks ago. Tasty. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much for the recipe I had some jalapeno cheddar sausage yum made it two nights ago and I'm making it again for dinner tonight😊 I subscribed
You've got your sprinkle and drizzle mixed up. Sprinkle is using dry ingredients, drizzle is using wet ingredients. Just an FYI. It looks delicious though and I'm going to try making it later this week.
I don't like canned green beans so I would use frozen green beans (or fresh ones). I'm guessing that would change the steps in the recipe but I think I can adapt it.
Lloyd I'm so sorry for any inconvenience I don't write out the recipes I just show how to and state the measurements please feel free to watch and write it down as you go that's how I do alot of mine when some don't have recipes I just write it out I know it's a inconvenience but I do some thing's different in my videos that's why I like people to watch and not miss the steps so that's why I don't write them out I apologize once again and I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed it and I thank you so much for watching💖
