L’Odyssey was seriously amazing. Great to have a major with so few ad breaks. Truly a showcase of just how much of an event can prioritize viewer experience - in person and online! Also loved how they used highlights to fill out the time between matches
Yeah, it kinda sucks NA has to make 100x profit for every big event while paying the top players with crumbs. I understand the purpose is to make money but they could find a happy balance.
For those wondering here's the numbers for every other year along with the names of the players 1 for 2018 (Tweek) 14 for 2019 (Zackray, Leo, Marss, Nietono, Shuton, Ally, Kameme, Gluto, Abadango, Samsora, Esam, Nairo, Tea, and Kuro) 0 for 2020 4 for 2021 (Proto, Light, Kola, and Peli) and lastly, 11 for 2021 (Quidd, Cosmos, Spargo, acola, Ken, Yoshidora, Sonix, Onin, Miya, Bloom4Eva, and Riddles)
Glad to see Miya bounce back, it's not easy competing at such a young age and I know he's had a lot of difficulties. Hopefully he can stabilize and continue to bring the heat we know he's capable of.
I heard he had a bit of a character crisis before the tournament. I hope he’s regained confidence in his G&W. But I could easily see him developing a nice secondary too
Super happy to see Tea win on a big stage like L'Odyssée. I feel like Tea is the most underrated top player currently. He's so often left out of the conversation of top 10 players worldwide, despite having an incredible tournament record as of late.
