Hikaru and Gluto were absolutely amazing to watch. Seeing Donkey Kong pop off will never not be awesome, especially at the top level. I've never hated or been a huge fan of Gluto or Wario, but I sure was rooting for him in this tourney. He played out of his mind!
Mad respect for Tea--he's a good sport, definitely goated, and just plain entertaining--but he only solidified my disdain for Kazuya.

One thing that's always amused me: The best Inking in Europe is called Space, and is also Europe's best Pyra/Mythra. The best Inkling in U.S. (albeit inactive) is Cosmos, who is currently U.S.'s best Pyra/Mythra.
Cosmos... Space... Their names are synonyms.
They're also both big weebs and even played Corrin in Smash 4! The similarities are uncanny!

After the waft nerfs Wario is a lot harder to use, but kazuya can 0 to death anyone from a single grab at any percent because downthrow electric is a true thing :( if anything, Glutto is a new low tier hero

i love how relatively even the ultimate scene is globally. some games tend to get dominated by one region, but there really is a major winning capable player from every region at any point. exciting (minus leo)

I like Tea but he can really thank Kazuya on that one. To me, Kazuya is as big of a problem as Steve. Seeing them spam the same until it hits is utterly boring and I personally had sometimes Kazuya touch me when I was in his back when he attacked (and not attacking so no hurtbox extension)
I mean, kazuya saved his ass against sisqui's samus, but otherwise pacman did most of the work. Even against glutonny, he most likely would have won with pacman too, but the other matchup is more difficult for wario and glutonny wasn't expecting it, so he switched.
So what you're saying is that DK can (potentially) win a major. Maybe not alone, but we can hope.
Hikaru is pronounced "He" "Car" "Ru", not hick-a-roo 🙂Ru is short, but if you can't manage you can say roo like in Kangaroo.

Also it's good to know that the letter "i" in a Japanese word/name is pronounced like "ee" instead "ih" or "ie"
In fact I'm pretty sure all vowels in Japanese words/names follow a pretty predictable pattern similar to the one I just mentioned. The letter "a" being pronounced "ah", "e" being pronounced "ay", "o" being pronounced as "oh", and "u" being pronounced as "ooh"
Just bringing this up because for me at least it made pronouncing Japanese words/names that I didn't know much easier after I learned about this. I don't speak Japanese though, so if I just said isn't true at all then just disregard it.
@@drakejoshofficialyoutubech5569 its kind of hard to spell because they arent pronounced *quite* like english short vowel forms, but for e/えand o/お, just imagine saying "ey" without the y sound and "oh" without the ending "oo" sound.
pretty accurate with the predictability thing though: the two most basic japanese alphabets are organized into five basic vowel sounds (with a few exceptions), just with different consonants in front of them each time.

@@lokks2130 yeah, I know it sounds super confusing. I'm just basing this opinion off of when riddles and tea fought each other. Tea's gameplay is very different with kazuya. The way riddles plays is super technical compared to tea. Riddles will look for super sweet combos and try connecting all his moves, but tea on the other hand will spam ewgf and then follow up with some big hitting moves. From what I saw, Tea's kazuya is the best, but Riddles is the best at fully utilizing the character. But yeah, I over analyzed that like crazy and I probably confused a lot of people haha.

@@willycheez7218 bloom has great matchups in Europe in general, literally only losing this last tournament to a Japanese player and gluto. I don’t know if he is the best , but he is clearly atleast top 2. With a winning record on the official number 1 player. And he is also the favorite to win Tech republic even before Gluto dropped out. That seems like he has atleast a pretty decent argument to challenge for the number 1 spot.
