The form of your song is very much a verse-chorus-verse-chorus, and the lyrics are very modern, but the melody and harmonies and timbres are very bossa nova especially that Edim chord leading back to the Fm9. This is what any good musician tries to accomplish: simplicity and beauty, all at once. The 4 chords progression, the pure voice with no unnecessary fioritura, everything is on the right place with no need of extra elements. This is really delightful. You've got a new fan over here.
Not everyone can do this. Your brain has to be wired to handle doing three things at once. Left hand selects the notes. Right hand plays the tune and keeps time. And singing. And to handle all three so well simultaneously - that is real skill right there. It's a beautiful song, played and sung beautifully.
