Young Justice is an American superhero animated television series developed by Brandon Vietti and Greg Weisman for Cartoon Network. Despite its title, it is not a direct adaptation of Peter David, Todd Dezago and Todd Nauck's Young Justice comic series, but rather an original story set in the DC Universe with a focus on teenage and young adult superheroes.
The series follows the lives of teenage superheroes and sidekicks, namely Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, Superboy, Red Arrow, Miss Martian, and Artemis, who are members of a fictional covert operation group referred to simply as 'the team' (but bear resemblance to the Teen Titans). Within the show, the team is a group of young heroes attached to the famous adult team, the Justice League, but operating outside of the bureaucracy that constrains the more established superhero team. The main setting is a fictional universe apart from the previous DCAU and other continuities (designated at one point as Earth-16) during a time period in which superheroes are a relatively recent phenomenon, and supervillains have all began working in tandem in a grand conspiracy on behalf of a cabal of key villains known as The Light.
The series debuted with an hour-long special on November 26, 2010, with the airing of the first two episodes, "Independence Day" and "Fireworks". Young Justice premiered on September 9, 2011, on Teletoon, in Canada. After airing its second season, titled Young Justice: Invasion, the series was canceled alongside fellow DC Nation show Green Lantern: The Animated Series in the second quarter of 2013.
On November 7, 2016, Warner Bros. Animation announced that the series would be returning for a third season, titled Young Justice: Outsiders, which premiered on January 4, 2019, on DC Universe. On July 20, 2019, series creators Vietti and Weisman announced at San Diego Comic-Con that DC Universe had renewed the series for a fourth season. On September 12, 2020, it was revealed that the fourth season would be titled Young Justice: Phantoms; "The Prize", an audio play that takes place between the events of the third and fourth seasons, was performed on DC FanDome on the same day. In September 2020, it was announced Young Justice would be moving to HBO Max; The first two episodes of the fourth season were released on October 16, 2021 on HBO Max.

Like imagine you're on a mission to kidnap someone and than your boss comes in and kidnaps an entirely different person.
And you're like "fine, whatever"
It could have been merely playing with audience expectations. They were told to grab Cassandra which we assumed was Cassandra Savage though it could also be Cassandra Cain (Orphan). However I am inclined to think Savage was the target and grabbing Orphan was an on the fly move to achieve their objective and a bonus.

I still think it was Savage who was the primary target as Cain was only there by chance as she refused to leave after her monitor duty shift was over. It was supposed to be Spoiler who was on guard duty when Artemis showed up. So I don't think there is a way the Shadows would know Cain was there.

Black Spider is like a "Legally-Safe Bootleg" of Marvel's Spider-Man. He has similar wisecracks, roasting jokes and also similar Powers.
And the same voice actor too
Only this version, which honestly makes him more memorable.
Comic Black Spider (Eric Needham) is a former heroin addict turned vigilante to go against the drug trade, after Batman crossed paths with him, Eric wanted to work with him but Bats said no, and so Black Spider became another of his villains.
Eric is just your average martial artist, with acrobatics, marksman and assassin expertise, nothing similar to Spidey.

An interesting fact about Rictus from the comics.
Joining the League of Assassins, Rictus became a well known assassin, likely due to his Metahuman prowess. Rictus later aided Bronze Tiger in training Jason Todd, though the boy left the League shortly afterwards.

It makes sense. For one, they had a mole in this scene that they were tracking. Two, the Light knows the real identity of almost every hero. It would make sense that there were very few unknown safehouses.

All i hear with Josh is Spider-Man, him appearing again as Spider-Man is such a great homage to Spectacular.
It helps that one of Spectacular's creators also is in charge of Young Justice.

Really interesting switch they did for my girl Cass Cain-Wayne. They made Lady Shiva the “horrific” parent instead of David Cain. YJ always puts their own spin on things while still managing to stay largely faithful to the source material. Can’t wait for their fight, they got Sam Liu the same director that did Batman Soul of the Dragon to work on that scene so we know it’s going to be martial arts crack from 2 of DCs best fighters. 🔥 Lady Shiva vs Cass is legendary, I just hope they both make it out alive because it’s not always that way in the comics lol. Still hoping Cass becomes Batgirl or Black Bat at the end of this arc. Would be a nice development for her character.
It's also dark when you remember that orphan can speak in the comics but in this Shiva removed that hope.
@@kwayneboy1524 I know man shits wild. Like that’s beyond crazy, I didn’t think Cass’s upbringing could get any more tragic than it already was in her OG Batgirl run. Cain was absolutely brutal. As a Shiva stan as well, it saddens me that this is the portrayal that will probably stick with her. Most DC animation fans will always think Shiva is this evil psychopath with none of her own motivations. It truly isn’t that way there is so much more to her character. All I can do is tell people to watch Batman Soul of the Dragon and read The Question by Denny O’Neil. Also rebirth Batman & The Outsiders and Batman Urban Legens 8 (I think). Shiva has turned a new leaf and has a positive relationship with her daughter for the first time in comic history lol. Ironic.

I would to see a justification for his changes and not she is power hungry villain that hates her daughter like MK did to Sinderl and Kitana' relationship.
I also didnt like that Batman hide Orphan's true mother for the team. Lady Shiva isnt exactly an enemy that most characters can face together less alone.

If you watched Assault on Arkham, Batman kicked his ass. I'm no Batman fanboy but someone as athletic as Black Spider with the added advantage of web slinging should have an edge on the Batfamily, the only person I see keeping up the fight in pure athletics would be Dick.

Not really. Comic Black Spider has nothing in common with Spider-Man. It was changed just for this show as the creator and Josh Keaton both worked on the Spectacular Spider-Man together.

Black spider in the comics is just a human but idk this guy seems like he has meta human abilities. Or atleast power armour augmentation. In a previous season he dangled a grown man from a web with a single outstretched arm.

You know a assassin black spider isn't really a bad idea. Hell I even know a few moment when the og spiderman had moments that if he killed would be alot scarier
You know, I get that she is tough. But going with an unarmed style with one arm seems like not the best idea. You lose out on many of the best advantages of unarmed style, such as effective grappling, mix up between attack and trips, ease of movement through complicated terrain, etc. At that point, you might as well go for reach and damage with a sword. In fact, there are sword styles that actively encourage you to literally fight with a hand tied behind your back (although that is usually a skill level precaution, since you have to be careful not to hit your empty hand when swinging around ina chaotic fight).
I know Lady Shiva is LADY SHIVA but no way Cassandra freakin Cain got snuck up like that

Rictus. A relatively new character (2013). A member of the League of Assassins/Shadows who has cybernetic implants. In the comics he is male though this version appears to be female.
